feel their eyes from oceans away
can't stop staring like the hunter with the prey
if only it was a delicate doe, lean and proud
but it's a bear in disguise they tried to put down
playing dead when it's oh so near
lighting pyres when they foolishly lose their fear
poking a wild beast then crying crocodile tears
but don't you know?
the instigator always turns into the victim,
my dear.
