Today's poetic form is the Latin American "Decima". It is comprised of 10 lines with 8 syllables each and a rhyming pattern of A/B/B/A/A/C/C/D/D/C! There are different versions of decima but the one I'll be covering is the Puerto Rican one. There's also an Ecuadorian one with 44 lines, and an Italian one called "Decima Italiana" with a difference in the rhymes.

sharp blades forged out of concealed spite
shaped on tired anvils and pale flames
fervid in gloom they write the names
of those whose bliss must give a fight
when faced with the daggers of blight
emerging in a guileful guise
uttering tainted words of wise
as they devour hope like a beast
for evil eyes a lavish feast
until they're met with their demise
