Ariella's P. O. V:

I wear my purple and white riding outfit with my blue cloak as I canter Pegasus alongside Merlin's horse, the Knights of the Round Table with us. We were currently riding through The Valley of the Fallen Kings, and I could tell the warlock is on edge.

He says to Arthur nervously as he pulls his horse up beside Torrento, and I follow suit, "Arthur, you are not serious!"

He says to Arthur nervously as he pulls his horse up beside Torrento, and I follow suit, "Arthur, you are not serious!"

"What else do you have in mind?" Arthur queries.

"Anything. Nothing good ever happens in The Valley of the Fallen Kings."

I add, "No one in their right mind would go in there." Usually, I'm all for it, but even I believe that place to be cursed.

Percival says, grinning, "Exactly."

Arthur states, "The route's a secret, Merlin, Ari. That's why we chose it."

At that moment, we hear men screaming and look up to see a bunch of mercenaries charging down the hill toward us.

Merlin and I say in unison, "It's not so secret now!"

"No need to get cocky, Merlin, Ari!" Arthur snaps as he kicks his horse and rips off his cape. I remain beside Merlin but unsheath my long sword, hearing Percival unleash a war cry. As he races past an enemy, Percival cuts him down, and Arthur deflects a couple of swords before he's dragged off Torrento.

As Arthur knocks down a mercenary, I hear Leon shout warningly from behind me, "Ariella!" I whip around just in time to see a burly man charge at me, an axe raised.

But, then Leon races his horse up to me and deflects a couple of blows from the enemy, before cutting his sword across his front, making the man tumble right off his horse.

I say gratefully to the knight, "Thanks for the save, Sir Leon!"

He smiles at me in return as he says, "Think of it as repayment for when you saved me from that dragon two years ago."

"Now I have to return the debt to you!" I say, before I follow him into battle, sparing my husband a glance.

I remain near Arthur and Merlin as I clash my sword against the enemy's. When a man grabs my waist and hauls me off Pegasus, I first stomp my boot painfully hard on the toe of the enemy's boot, making him cry out, before I turn my sword backward and pierce it into his stomach, cutting the man down. I rip out my blade when I hear the warlock crying out Arthur's name.

As I exchange blows with two men, I see from my peripheral vision that an enemy was charging at the blonde from behind on a horse, sword raised.

Kicking down the enemies, I whirl and thrust my hand out, just as Merlin dismounts his horse, my eyes flashing gold. The force behind my magic attack causes the mercenary to fly off his horse, but his foot gets caught in the reins. The horse continues to gallop on, dragging his rider behind him.
