Ariella's P. O. V:

I watch from beside Morgana and Gwen as King Bayard, the ruler of the Mercier kingdom, walks into the throne room, his knights and maids behind him, while Uther and his men walk toward them. The two parties stop before one another.

"Camelot welcomes you, Lord Bayard of Mercier," Uther greets

"Camelot welcomes you, Lord Bayard of Mercier," Uther greets. "The treaty we sign today marks an end to war, the beginning to a new friendship between our kingdoms."

I notice one of Bayard's maids staring at Merlin and I. I glance at her as the two kings clasp each other's arms and we all start clapping.

I spot Merlin as I walk down a bustling corridor, and a smile forms on my face. I notice he's carrying a basket of Arthur's clothing.

Merlin mutters in annoyance, as he spots me, "Why do I always end up with the donkey work?"

Pausing just behind him, I reply, "You're a servant, Merlin. It's what you do."

He drops the basket as he turns to me and says, briefly looking at his arms, "My arms will be a foot longer by the time I get this load inside!"

I giggle a little as Gaius comes up beside me and says, "It's character building, Merlin. As the old proverb says: hard work breeds..." He trails off as he fumbles for the right words. I quirk an eyebrow at him as Merlin does the same. "... a harder soul."

Merlin states, "There is no way that's a proverb. You just made that up."

"I did not," Gaius denies.

I say, smiling widely at the physician, as I giggle slightly, "Well, I for one have never heard of any such proverb, Gaius."
