"Jeez, I'm sorry that I was never informed," Liu rolled his eyes. "How come you never told me this?" He asked me.

"It makes things more fun Liu," L.J replied for me as he kept licking his lollipop.

Before I had the chance to reply, I heard the proxies coming down the stairs.

"About time," I muttered before placing Sally to the side and getting up to meet them.

"Have fun on your mission proxies, but most importantly, don't fail like last time!" L.J yelled out after I exited the room to meet with the proxies.

I growled before I turned around to glare at L.J by the doorway. "I hope you don't choke, McDonalds wannabe."

Apparently, my words affected him because next thing you know, he was already choking his lollipop. A small smirk was plastered on my lips before I turned around to see the proxies holding their laughs in. I already had my emotionless face once I saw them. "Come on, we already lost time due to you three being unprepared."

"How were we supposed to have known we would have a last-minute mission," Masky grunted.

I ignored him as I left the mansion with the proxies behind me as lost puppies.

If they had succeeded in murdering the intruder a few days ago, then we wouldn't have to deal with this and I could have had a day off. A day full of training for my next encounter with Zalgo.

I stared at the forest in front of me as I kept on walking in front. Although I was lost in my thoughts, I still heard Hoodie whisper something to Masky which made him grunt.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Toby walking faster to catch up to me. Part of me wanted to diss him off since I was already in a bad mood, but I had to calm myself. He hadn't done anything to piss me off yet.

"I-I'm s-sorry for f-failing the mission Y-Y/n." he blurted out.

"Don't sweat it, Toby. We all know Masky has a bad temper," I grunted.

"Y-yeah b-but I c-can't help b-but-"

"Wouldn't it be a better idea to split up?" Masky interrupted him. I turned around to glare at him again.

"What's your fucking problem!" I yelled at him with anger. Seeing as he was wearing a mask, I couldn't tell what his expression was.

"I'm just suggesting something, Princess. Not my fault you're on your period"

By this point, I was furious at him especially because of the nickname he had used.

"First of all, go fuck yourself. Second of all, if I recall correctly, you guys separated last time! You failed in getting the victim due to your stupid idea! You guys said he's always in the Northside of the forest so it's safe to assume we'll find him there. Be strategic Masky!" I pushed him away before continuing to walk away from them. "Slenderman also ordered us to stick together and work as a team, something that you're incapable of!"

"But what if he arrives at a different location?" He shouted in which I ignored. Splitting up would be fine if it meant I would be the one to find him but the other proxies had to learn to work together.

After a few minutes of complete silence, we were finally in the same area I had originally fought Zalgo. Flashbacks from the fight swirled through my head which caused me to hiss as I felt a headache.

I still couldn't believe I had lost the fight with the enemy, the creature I swore to kill for years. A part of me wanted to blame my wound and his magic yet another part thought those were just lame excuses. Whichever one might be true, I was pissed at myself. I let the opportunity fly away. I didn't know when I would see him again.
