Cameron and Daryl stand in the woods as they wait up for Maggie.
"Has Hilltop answered?", Cameron asks.
"Yep, Luke is gathering up a big group of them, Then there'd be fifteen more...we could take the rest...", Daryl says.
Suddenly Maggie comes out, she looks at them and says,
"Hey..."
The two men greet them and then two men behind them, one man in a mask and another with a ponytail.
"Maggie...", the mask less man says.
"Who're they?", Cameron asks.
"These'r my people...Daryl, Cameron...Elijah and Cole. We lost a village...", She says.
"And now we need to live with you...", The ponytail haired man, Cole says.
"I was plannin' on takin' them to Hilltop...", Maggie adds.
Cameron and Daryl exchange looks.
"What is it...?", she asks.
Time Skip...
The group pass by a few brushes until the walls come into view.
The charred building can be seen just above the walls.
Maggie's eyes widen and fill with tears.
"Maggie...", Cameron begins putting his hand on her shoulder.
"Negan was with the whisperers that night...Carol...she set him free...to kill Alpha...", Cameron says.
She looks to him,
"Where is she...?"
"Shes finding her own way...We would've lost everything...Negan's the reason we're all still kicking...", Cameron says.
"So what do we do now...?", Cole asks.
"So...what now...? Do we just go to...what's the place...?", Cole asks.
"Alexandria...", Daryl says.
"So we go down to Alexandria...live next to the guy who torched this place...same guy who killed her husband...", Cole asks.
"Look...Glenn wasn't the only one to die that night...", Cameron says.
"Oh yeah? Then who else?", Cole asks.
"My...my ex boyfriend...and our dear friend Abraham...", Cameron says.
"Look...I'm sorry...", He says.
"Its fine...we're still figuring things out...", Daryl says.
"I best be gettin' back to Hershel and the others...", Maggie says.
As the group disperses, Daryl turns to Cameron and says,
"You didn't have to do that.. "
"What? Stand up for Negan?", he asks.
"Call Liam your ex...but that too...", Daryl growls.
"We've all made mistakes...maybe not as bad as Negan....But we need to learn to accept them...remember the shit you pulled when you were out searchin' for Rick...Hell I thought I'd never take you back but you somehow proved me wrong...", Cameron says.
"I'll go with her...try and smooth things over...", Daryl says.
"I'm comin' too...", Cameron says.
As the two men travel through the forest, Kelly runs after them.
"Daryl! Cameron! You're gonna pick up Maggie's people right? Think we could scout out for Connie...?", She asks.
Daryl and Cameron nod and they keep going.
