"Mr. Addeo!" I said breaking the tension. "You wanted to chat with me over something a bit more important?"

Mr. Addeo led me into the same hallway I was in earlier and into a large office. I got an eerie feeling as soon as I got in. The sound of the door shutting sent goosebumps all over my body. I sat down in the rather large leather couch and watched as Mr. Addeo and Beck got comfortable in front of me.

"I know all about you modeling and how successful you could be in the future." Mr. Addeo said, wasting no time whatsoever.

I faked flattery, "Hopefully one day."

Beck moved seats and sat close to me grabbing my hand in his, "What if one day turned into tomorrow?"

"I'm not sure I'm following?"

Mr. Addeo walked over to a safe punching in four numbers.  I watched as the safe had a list of files and a couple more important things. Thats where he must have kept all of his business negotiations. Chase's had to be there! He grabbed a thick wad of papers, a contract I assumed. The papers landed on the desk with a loud slam and a sly smile appeared onto his face.

"If you sign this, I can get you a promising future."

Beck grabbed a fancy pen and placed it in front of me. As I flipped through the large stack of papers I couldn't help but notice how many terms there were. The things I could do. But most importantly, the things I was forbidden to partake in. The first thing being able to break out of this relationship. Something that was so confusing and demeaning.

"Can I think about it?" I asked.

I didn't miss how alarming Mr. Addeo looked as he panicky side-eyed Beck. With another one of his fake smiles he nodded, "Sure. But the offer will expire, so bring it back before this Friday?"

I nodded my head and collected the papers that were now in a folder. "Of course. Thank you, by the way."

"Sure."

Beck ushered me out of the room quickly. "Seriously?"

I furrowed my eyebrows, "What?"

"Ava this is a once in a lifetime opportunity- and you want to think about it??"

I scoffed, "Beck this is a contract, as flattered as I am, I would rather take a look at this when I am in a better headspace."

"What's wrong with your headspace now?" Beck accused.

I was getting angrier at how quickly he had shown me the real him. He really was Mr. Addeo's son. If I stayed any longer with him, I might blow off completely. "I'm going home."

Beck grabbed onto my wrist tightly, not allowing me to escape. "Now you're going home? Are you kidding me? You aren't going to leave me looking like a fool."

I snatched my wrist away being able to break free from his grasp, "What's gotten into you?"

He shook his head, "You don't trust me do you?"

This guy was a complete psychopath. As soon as he didn't get his way he had revealed his true colors. Those being nothing but black and grey. If I wanted this to continue, I needed to come up with something that showed my love for him and that allowed me to escape from this sick place.

"Of course I do Beck."

He shook his head at me, "So what's the real reason you didn't sign it? You know I wouldn't allow you to do something bad."

I could just roll my eyes right here, right now. In fact I couldn't help but imagine how many times I was slapping him in my head. It was way over a hundred by the way. WAY over.

I caressed Beck's cheek, "I know, I just don't feel well. Plus, I figured you could talk to me more about it tomorrow."

I felt him relax at my chose of words, "Okay. I believe you."

Sweet baby Jesus, can I get an Amen?!

"Do you mind calling me a taxi, I wouldn't want to keep you from your family." I said, mentally praying he wouldn't offer to take me home.

"Okay, do you want me to come over later tonight?" He asked, going back to the Beck I had previously known.

I waved him off, "Don't worry about it, I'm going straight to bed."

He began leaning into me, but I quickly turned my head allowing him to kiss me on the cheek. I didn't want him anywhere near my lips after his sudden outburst tonight. "I'll call you a cab, see you tomorrow."

"Bye."

I walked away, not bothering to glance back at him. I made my way down the staircase excited to leave this hell hole. I checked my phone and saw it was nearly eleven. Time flies by when you're having fun, huh. Not. It felt like I had been here for eternity and I just couldn't wait to peel this dress off of me and cry myself into a tub of chocolate fudge ice cream.

"Ava!" I heard behind me.

From the corner of my eye, I saw my excuse of a father call out to me. Hell no. I pretended to ignore him and thankfully the taxi had pulled up in perfect time. I more ran than walked towards it, feeling proud to leave everyone here behind for tonight. I pulled the door open and said a quick hello to the driver.

"The University dorms please." She nodded her head and put the car into drive.

However, before we could leave the door swung open and Chase practically threw himself in. He grinned widely at me as if he hadn't just intruded on my peaceful night home. The driver looked back at me in confusion but I was too busy putting my head in my hands. Great, just what I needed.

"You weren't just going to leave without me, were you?"

Great.
