Part 15: fight

Sun floods the house,

I open my eyes to see a peacefully sleeping 10k laying on my chest, gosh he's adorable,

I look around and I see doc, he gives me a thumbs up,

I smile and blush, he probably knows,
well sure he does.

Duke is awake too, he runs from docs side to me and 10k on the couch, duke jumps straight on top of us,

Me and 10k both let out an "ouch."

"Morning." I smile at 10k looking at him still laying on me, I pet duke, "you too buddy."

10k gets up quickly, "morning."

He blushes at the thought of our exchanged words and kisses last night.

I sit up slowly, my shoulder still very sore.

Warren comes down from the bedrooms, along with Mack, addi and Cassandra, she gives me a dirty look,

"Oh my god, y/n, what happened?" Addi asks seeing my bruised and dirty face, The blood was dried and gross.

"Long story." I state,

Everyone looks to 10k, he shrugs and looks away, doc laughs,

"what's so funny?" Murphy grumbles,

"It's not my news to tell." Doc replies grinning,

They look at me,

"Aren't we gonna head out again, you know, bring Murphy to California or has everyone forgotten the mission?"

"You look pretty rough, maybe we should stay here another night." Warren cuts in.

"No! I mean, no, I'm fine."

They eye me looking over my injuries,
"Really, let's go!"

"Alright then, everyone in the new truck." Warren rounds us up,

I look at 10k and smile, he's quickly at my side and puts an arm around my waist to make sure I don't fall trying to get up,

"I can do it you know."

"I know, I just want to make sure."

He pulls me up, then he does something unexpected,

He picks me up, bridal style.

"hey! 10k put me down, I'm too heavy."

"Nonsense, my princess needs her night in shining armor."

"More like, teenage boy with a sniper."

"That works too."

We reach the truck, "okay, put me down now, please."

He does as asked and puts me down, I climb into the truck and sit in the corner,

"I got stabbed in the shoulder not my legs."

He sits next to me and puts an arm around my shoulder, he shrugs it off and smiles.

Warren gets in the drivers but before she does she says,

"don't get too comfortable we need to find gas soon, or we'll be walking again."

Murphy sits in the back,

Mack and addi go on a motor bike ahead of us,

doc sits in the passenger and Cassandra hops in the back with us.
