-Narrator's perspective-

"Elijah is home. There's only one dagger." Rebekah made her presence known to the two siblings who was talking long before she came in the room. "Which one of us will you be punishing today?"

Danielle didn't make movements, her shirt still covered in blood but her fair skin was clean. She was playing around with the sleeve of her leather jacket, clearly upset but not over their win. She was celebrating that in her head.

"I contemplated a game of eeny meeny minie moe." Klaus whispered the last one, directing it to Rebekah before speeding behind her and pointing the edge of the dagger to her neck. "You betrayed me- us... our own sister."

"Niklaus don't you dare." Elijah came in the room, looking over the three of them.

"Well, perhaps it should be you, brother." The male hybrid lets go of Rebekah, pointing the dagger towards him while walking backwards from where he stood earlier besides Danielle. "Stealing my child away with every fawning moment of tenderness you show to Hayley."

"This has nothing to do with Hayley." The original defended, looking immensely towards his hybrid sister who just watched from besides Nik.

"It had everything to do with her!" He raised his voice, still having the dagger pointed to them. "She's adored you since she arrived. And now my child, my blood, will grow up to call you father." Klaus pointed to him.

Both Rebekah and Elijah seemed surprised of the words that came out of their brother's mouth.

"Is that what this is? You are once again worried that you will be left behind?" The blonde questioned continously. "Has history taught you nothing? We don't abandon you, Nik. You drive us away."

With that, Klaus lowered the blade, eyes watery and was about to shed a few tears by every word has gone by. "Is that so? What have I done lately other than cooperate? I bowed down to you, brother... to make up for daggering you, for the greater good of our plan to reclaim our home. Look the other way, sister. While you repeat the same cycle with Marcel, falling again for a man you shouldn't be with, while he controls the empire thaf we built, that he took!"

"Now, I make no excuses for past sins, but in the one moment when you two could have chosen to stand by me- Just like Danielle. To believe in me... and believe my intentions for my own child were pure. You chose to stand against me... To side with my enemies." Klaus walked forward to them, his older brother mostly. "I wanted our home back. Now I have it. So I'm going to live there. And the two of you. You can stay here together... and rot."

Unexpectedly to the two, Klaus turned the blade, handing Elijah the dagger which he took when seconds past by. The male hybrid walked past them, expecting for Danielle to follow which she did.

But as she walked past Elijah, he called out for her name. Almost as a whisper and pleaded for her to speak a word.

"What do you want me to say, Elijah?" She questioned, brought her arms up and back down. "You've got what you wanted. You've drove Niklaus away from you. I will always stand by him and both of you knew that."

Danielle looked at then one last time, a glint of guilt flashed in their eyes. She cleared her throat before turning around and left.
