Chapter 97 - Peace and Dragons

KINGDOM OF GINIANA

It has been weeks since the Royal Family, the Leon's, was reinstated into power. With their trusted advisors and minders, they have been making progress in reunifying the Kingdom.

Their form of government was utterly destroyed by the Scolusians when they've colonized their Kingdoms. All of their legislative and bureaucratic systems were all erased in favor of Scolusian delegated mayors and governors.

When they've said destroyed, they really meant destroyed. Much of the nobilities were either killed, exiled and or reduced to peasant status. As such even with the central government being reestablished, they would be having a hard time in micro managing their provinces and distant cities and towns.

This is where the bulk of the Cardonian technical support were being poured. Using their own country's political framework. They were suggesting that a modified monarchy would best fit the current Kingdom of Giniana.

Wherein, the people themselves would be electing their local mayors and governors. They are also responsible to instate representatives on the national parliament who would be directly helping the Royal family in effectively running the country, they would be also helped with what's left of the nobilities.

And of course in the realm lf commerce and trade, the Cardonians were also guiding key figures in reestablishing the Kingdom's economy. This also allows them to expand their trade networks beyond Archesia.

The Kingdom of Naldia up north is also assisting their southern neighbour, they have increased their trade and have been providing aid on the towns and villages near their border. They are sensing the potential of the newly established Kingdom of Giniana as a new flourishing state as Cardonian investments would be drowning the country. As such they wouldn't let this opportunity to enhance their relations with the demi-humans. There are still bad blood amongst the Demi-Humans considering the Dwarves didn't heed to their plight but they are trying to fix this strained relationship. 

The massive Cardonian military presence are not only engaging the Dylaslans, but are also helping in reestablishing the National Army and Police. With the Imperials being wiped out, they obviously left a large power vacuum on the country. And to prevent any insurgency and other bright ideas and with growing concerns about the sudden influx of labyrinths appearing at the Western Continent, the Armed Forces are shaping up the new Ginianaian Armed Force.

There is still a lot to do in reestablishing the Kingdom. Cardonia is willing to help this country because of it's vested interests on the country's resources, mainly oil.

KINGDOM OF SCHAREN

Days after the start of the formal peace negotiations between Cardonia and the Kingdom of Dylasla. Top military officials are scheduled to meet personally on the large wooden table that sits on the open between the two frontlines.

Using messengers, the two parties have successfully exchanged their intentions. As such, this never before kind of meeting between the two belligerents is drawing near.

A platoon of tanks forms a menacing silhouette on the Cardonian side while a small fleet of airships were parked just beyond the Dylaslan frontline.

Soldiers of both nations stand a hundred meters apart, glaring at each other standing guard over where the talks would be held in a few hours.

Hours prior to that, Cardonian soldiers stood a couple of meters apart in front of the Leopard tanks, Scar rifles at their chest, they stood frozen under the glaring sunlight. Seeing what the Cardonians were doing, the Dylaslans followed.
