DAY 8
6:30 AM

Just as the sun rises, the Cardonian national anthen were played through the loudspeakers. For three days now, the town of Riba were subjected to the constant barrage of propaganda messages. Being a border town, a sizeable Imperial force are stationed here, almost a thousand strong.

Using primitive muskets, soldiers stand guard atop the walls, compared to the previous town the soldiers here are for "front line". Thus the local resistance warned the Cardonians that they're facing a entire different force.

A drone is constantly monitoring the entire town.

When.

A group of locals began to clash with the Imperial guards near the townsquare. Almost simultaneously, large groups began to attack and ambush the Imperial patrols on the town.

The fire of revolution has finally been lit. This prompted the Cardonians to action.

*BOOM*

The 120mm cannons from the Leopard 2 tanks fired, lobbing high explosive shells towards the town walls.

The whole Cardonian armed column began to approach slowly while firing every gun they have against the pinned down Imperial soldiers.

They've tried to return fire, but as soon as they look up, their heads were blown off, either by 50. Cal from the RCWS or the 5.56mm from a regular infantry.

Violence erupted inside the town, the overwhelming rebel forces are already pushing the Imperials towards the wall, wherein the walls are being assaulted with overwhelming firepower.

"OPEN FIRE! FIRE ANYTHING THAT IS CHARGING TOWARDS YOU!" ordered by the Imperial Commander.

*BANG*

"Reloading!"

*BANG*

Rebel casualties are spiking as the Imperials fired upon them. Their muskets might be inaccurate and slow to reload, but deadly nevertheless, especially in tight confines.

To make up with the slow reload time, the Imperials employ a staggered line tactic. Wherein the first line would fire, then as they reload, the second line would fire and then vice versa.

But the rebels kept charging towards them. They were overwhelmed with the demi-humans attacking en masse. Being widely known for their close combat prowess, the tight streets became a killing zone for the poor Imperials.

The locals are fed up on how theh are being poorly treated by the Imperial bastards. They are fueled by generations of hatred towards the Imperials, as such, they desperately charge towards them, armed with melee weapons.

What is more, the local militia has turned their their backs, their supposed comrades are now firing at them. As such the Imperial lines fell into disarray.

The quickest of the demi-humans are known for their supreme ability to dodge gunfire from long distances.

The slow reload time of their muskets means life and death as the demi humans sprinted and hopped towards them at unbelievable speed.

The demi-humans easily sliced their way through them.

They are caught in a pincer. They are getting whittled from all directions.

The situation are getting grim by the minute.

"COMMANDER THE WALLS HAVE BEEN BREACHED!" shouts an Imperial officer.

"KEEP FIRING!" replied the commander.

The tanks rolled in through the tight gates closely followed by the IFV's and infantry.
