Chapter 120 - A Chilling Discovery

UNDISCLOSED RESEARCH FACILITY

A loud rumbling sound emanated from the depths of this top secret research facility. This another set of interconnected bunkers were once the site where the secretive Cardonian nuclear arms program. This is where their secret weapons were developed from the ground up and into active service.

The French provided Cardonia with civilian nuclear technology, they are directly involved in the building of two nuclear powerplants. And once this convenient cover is cemented, collaboration with the Israelis and South Africans further advances Cardonian research into nuclear weapons. The flags of these two pivotal nations are painted into the cement wall, providing an eerie background for the current command and reaserch center.

A series of small underground detonations have taken a toll in these labyrinths of cement as such the facility were filled with cracks. It was briefly decommissioned after the nuclear weapons were deemed in active service. As such only a few rooms are deemed safe for use and of course the nearest rooms at the exit are the most safest. One of which was the cafeteria.

The once bustling cafeteria is now transformed into this high tech command and research centers wherein the whole place is littered with computers and laboratory equipment. The adjacent rooms are also filled with various research equipment's. All are used into the better understanding of the magical properties of Demons.

These demons are tucked in the very depths of the whole labyrinths as such any attempts to break free could be easily prevented by the dozens of armed guards, of course equipped with their magical rounds. There are doubts with the effectiveness of this rounds as shown from the recent attqck on the Capital. As such in an event of a breakout, guards outside the facility has a kill switch that could bury the whole place into the mountains, dozens of C4's are implanted on the now weak cement pillars supporting the tunnels.

They are codenamed as Subject 01 - Carmilla and Subject 02 - Myntrel.

Various experiments have been and currently being conducted since their capture. The researchers are forced to use inhumane ways to test the subjects maximum limitations, however it can be argued that it is not technically inhumane as the subjects aren't humans in the first place as various X-rays and CT scans proved they are a different being.

"This is very SCP like" said one of the student researchers typing in another set of experiment data to a computer.

The student is referring to the infamous online lore of a secret organization that is performing the exact same things they are doing now.

The student then finished his typing's and returned to the main room wherein everyone is fixated once again to the large screen where an experiment to Subject 02 is being conducted.

Displayed on the screen were the semi paralyzed demon strapped in a large table. A researcher done in a bomb suit approached the barely conscious being, he is carrying a flawethrower looking weapon.

Everyone is as anxious to the poor lad who is going to approach the hostile being.

'Myntrel' is being paralyzed through the use of pure Hydrogen. The whole room is filled with it and is even pressurized. As such the researcher is in very deep shit if his suit is in any way punctured.

However this new experiment could be beneficial not only for the Kingdom but the entirety of the Human race and its subspecies.

He is armed with a tank full of liquid nitrogen.

The Demons are really impregnable when attacked by any conventional weapons. Their skins produce this high intensity sound like property that cannot be exactly explained as this is surely magic.
