Even with Killian's help, watching Hope extra closer outside of their house in town or at the sheriff's station, Emma did not feel the town was safe for Hope with her mother out of the hospital. Emma and Killian decided together to put Snow White back to the psych ward, letting Regina put Snow White back. When Emma and Killian both felt the town was safe for their family, they finally made plans for their family vacation which they needed. The Swan-Jones family packed their family car with their luggage as Allison was playing with Hope who was wearing her duckling dress. Emma checked everything. "Killian, are you sure that we have everything?""Yes, Emma. I made sure we have all of our luggage. We went over your list three times before we loaded the car, swan. We have everything for our vacation. We are going to have fun, swan.""Yes, we need to be going. I do not want us to miss our flight." Hope walks with Allison. "Auntie...Mommy..." "Yes, Hope. Auntie Allison is driving us to the airport." Emma scooped Hope into her arms and placed Hope in her car seat. Regina arrives."Mom.""Henry." They hug. "Are you looking forward to vacation?""Yes, I am. I know Mom and Dad especially, Mom. She has been more worried since Grandma escaped the psych ward." "I've been keeping a close eye on her making sure she does not cause any trouble." Emma approached Regina. "Hi, Regina. Mulan and Lily are in charge of the sheriff's station while we are away.""Emma, I am keeping a close eye on your Mom and Leo, making sure they do not cause any trouble. Mostly making sure your Mom does not escape the psych ward again.""Thank you, Regina." Killian drove the family car with Henry in front while Allison and Emma talked in the back. "Mommy.""Hopey, we are going on an airplane.""Mommy...""You are staying with me on the airplane, sweetie. We are going to stay by the beach. You get to swim in the ocean.""Mel-Mel.""Melody's beach is in a different realm, sweetie." Hope began crying. "Hopey, you are going to play with Melody when you get back from vacation. I know you are going to have so much fun swimming in the big ocean with your Daddy, Henry, and Mommy. You are going to tell me all about it when I pick you up at the airport." "Mel-Mel." Emma and Killian know Hope misses her best friend who lives in another realm from them. "You and Melody will talk soon, Hope. I know you miss your best friend who lives in another realm.""Yes.""For now, you have Auntie and Mommy to talk to you. Okay?" Hope nods her head yes. Emma kisses Hope on the head. Emma and Allison looked at each other in awe knowing Hope misses her best friend."Swan, I have an idea. Our little lass will talk to her ocean best friend soon." Emma smiles knowing Killian can cheer up their daughter. Allison and Emma continue to talk to Hope until Killian arrives at the airport. Allison gets Hope out of her carseat as the rest of the family is unloading the back of the car. "Hope, are you excited for the airplane ride?""Yes." She holds Hope on her hip as Killian takes the car seat out of the car. "Dada.""We need to bring your car seat to Florida, little love." Emma gets her backpack on and the carrier on for Hope. Allison brings Hope. "Mommy.""You are going to walk with me, Hope." She holds Hope's hand. "Allison, thank you for coming with us to the airport.""You are very welcome." They hug. "Have fun, Emma. You all need this vacation.""Thank you. We will see you in two weeks." "Auntie."Allison hugs Hope. "I will see you in two weeks when I pick you up at the airport. I know you and Mommy will tell me all about your vacation." Hope smiles. "Hopey, time for us to go inside the airport." Hope grabs her Mommy's hand and Emma guides her inside the airport. Henry hugs Allison next. "Henry, have fun.""Thank you, Aunt Allison." Killian heads inside as Allison drives the Swan-Jones family care back to Storybrooke. "Swan, are you ready for our vacation?""Yes." They went to check for their luggage. As they were in line, Hope was walking around. "Hope, come here, sweetie." Hope goes to her Mommy. "You have to stay with Mommy, Daddy, and Henry." "No."Killian kneels to Hope. "Hope, you have to stay with us because there are many people here. You are going to get lost, little love." "Dada...up!" Killian holds Hope on his hip. "Dada." Emma smiles knowing Hope loves her Daddy. After check-in, they went to TSA. Emma held Hope on her hip and carried her backpack as they went through the machine. "Dada...Henwy...""They are coming with us, sweetie." Killian and Henry approached their family and they went to their gate. Henry sat down to save their seats. "Mom, Dad, I will watch the luggage.""Thanks, kid. I am going to get Starbucks." Hope hugs her Mommy's legs. "Do you want to come with me?""Yes." Emma walks with Hope to Starbucks. Hope wanted to see what was in the display. Emma holds Hope on her hip. "Ookie.""You want a cookie?'Yes.""What is the nice word when you ask for something?""Pweas.""Yes, you can have a cookie." Hope smiles. When it was their turn, "Hi, I would like hot coffee with milk and two sugars. I also want one chocolate chip cookie." The barista gave Emma her order. "Hopey, we are going back to Dada and Henry." She holds Hope's hand as they walk back to their gate with her. Killian returns with breakfast for himself and Henry. "Thanks, Dad.""You are welcome, son." Emma and Hope return. "Dada.""Hi, Hope." Killian puts Hope on his lap. "I have breakfast for you, Hope.""Ookie.""Little love, cookies are not for breakfast." Hope began to cry. "Hope, do not cry, little sis.""Killian, I bought her a cookie at Starbucks.""Aye, Hope you can have breakfast first then the cookie.""Ookie...ookie...""No, Hope." Hope cried more.Emma saw others staring at them and Hope was getting more upset, knowing her husband was being a healthy eater as usual. "Killian." Emma gets Hope from her husband. "Hopey, you can have your cookie. Don't cry. Dada is not mad at you. You chose your cookie at Starbucks." Hope hugs her Mommy. "You can have your cookie, baby girl." She sits on the chair and opens the bag and shows Hope the cookie. "Ookie." "You can have your cookie, Hope." Hope eats her cookie. "Little sis, you chose a big cookie." Hope gives Henry a piece. "Thank you, Hope, for sharing. You can have it.""Henwy.""I will try the cookie." Henry had the piece of the cookie. "Is it a good cookie, Hope?""Yes." Emma kisses Hope on the head. "Mommy?" Hope hugs her Mommy. Emma hugs her daughter. Killian puts the rest of the cookie in the bag. "Little love, Dada is not mad at you." Hope looks at her Daddy as he kisses her on the cheek. The family went to their seats on the airplane, Emma had Hope in her carrier as they sat in their seat. She gives Hope's her bottle as the plane was taking off. Hope grabs her Daddy's hook. Killian kisses Hope on the head. When the plane landed, Emma walked with Hope as Killian got the car seat and the rest of their luggage. "Hope, we got to get our rental car." They walked to get their rental car. "Henwy...Dada.""They are going to meet us there, Hope." She fills out papers for the rental car, as Hope was hugging her legs. "Mommy is almost done, baby girl." Killian and Henry arrived at the car rental."Little sis.""Henwy." Hope ran to her brother. Henry scooped Hope into his arms. "Hi, baby sis. You were napping the whole plane ride." They walk around. "Swan, do you have everything?""Yes, we are just waiting for our rental car." Emma hugs him. "I am so happy that we are not in Storybrooke.""Me too, love. We are finally on a vacation that we needed.""Yes, I know this week will be a lot of fun." Their rental car arrived and the family loaded the car. Killian sets the carseat in the back and puts Hope in her car seat. "Dada.""I am right here, Hope. We are going to have so much fun swimming in the ocean.""Oo-.""Yes, Hope, ocean." Henry sits with Hope in the back as Emma drives her family to their rental house which is 2 hours away from the airport. Hope was hungry and began to cry. Emma stopped driving so she and Killian bought groceries. Henry stayed by the car while Emma pushed Hope in the cart and grocery shopped. Killian made sure they had everything on their list. Hope was putting cookies and goldfish in the cart. "Hope.""Pweas.""Okay, we do need beach snacks." Emma puts pop tarts for beach snacks too."Aye, I'm not surprised I see pop tarts.""They are for snack time on the beach." Hope babbles."I know my swan's favorite snack." Hope shows her Daddy goldish. "Aye, I know my little love got her favorite snacks." "Mommy...""Yes, sweetie. We are getting snacks.""Ookie.""You have cookies in the cart already. My little cookie monster." She tickles Hope making her laugh. "I made sure they are nut-free and peanut-free.""Aye, I always read the labels now every time I go grocery shopping, I always read every label to make sure it is nut-free. I do not want Hope to get an allergic reaction." He rubs Hope's head. "Dada." Hope shows the blueberries. "Little love, you want to help me make a fruit salad at the beach house?""Yes!" Emma and Killian chuckled. "She may love sweets but she is a healthy eater like eating fruit.""Aye, I had a feeling she was going to be a lot like me." Emma smiles. They finished grocery shopping, Emma placed Hope back in her carseat as Henry and Killian loaded the car with groceries. As the Swan-Jones family was getting closer, they saw seagulls, beach houses, and shops. "Swan, I can smell the ocean already."Emma giggles. "We are almost there, Killian." Emma arrived at their rented beach house. "Swan-Jones family has arrived at the beach house. We are officially on vacation." Killian, Henry, and Hope cheered. They unloaded their luggage as Killian took Hope out of her car seat. "Look, little love, where we are?""Ooo..Dada." "Yes, Hope. We are by the ocean."Hope squirms out of her Daddy's arms and walks to the beach. "Little love, wait for me." He takes Hope's shoes off, and Henry takes the shoes from his Dad. Killian holds her hand and turns around to his wife. "Swan, I am going to keep an eye on our little pirate."Emma smiles knowing Hope and Killian love the ocean. "Just do not get her wet too much." Killian walks with Hope to the ocean. "Mom, I am not surprised, Hope saw the ocean and she wanted to go to get wet right away."Emma chuckles. "She takes after your Dad. I had a feeling that Hope would go straight to the beach once we stopped here." They unloaded the luggage and put the groceries away. Emma got beach towels knowing Hope will need to be warm soon. "Mom, what should we eat tonight?"'I do not know, kid.""I can tell by the look on your face that you need to sleep.""Yes, a long day of traveling and driving.""I have an idea what Dad and I cook for dinner, Mom. After we get Hope from the ocean."Killian lets Hope run on the open beach towards the ocean, which he was loving. "Dada! Oo-...""Ocean." Hope was jumping as the wave foam was crashing on her. Killian took pictures of Hope smiling on his iPhone and squealing with joy. "Dada!""I am right here, love. I am getting wet." Hope grabs her Daddy's hook. He kneels down and kisses Hope on the cheek. "I am not going anywhere, Hope. I am staying here with you." Hope smiles big and hugs her Daddy. "Ooo...Dada.""Yes, pirate time in the ocean.""Yay!" Killian smiles big. Emma and Henry found Killian and Hope getting wet. "Mom you were right about the towels.""Yes, kid. They are soaked." Emma smiles. "My two pirates." Henry joins them."Hopey.""Henwy." Hope jumps into Henry's arms and gives him a big hug, which knocks him down."Hope." A wave comes at him and gets him wet. Hope laughs. "Mom, luckily I changed."Emma chuckles."Smart thinking, kid. Hope, be gentle on your brother.""Mommy." Hope gets off of Henry and runs to her Mommy and hugs her. "Oo..""Yes, ocean, baby girl. I know you are having fun already. You are already soaking wet.""Yes.""You are my little fish. You love the ocean, just like your Daddy." Hope hugs her Mommy. "Hope." Henry gets Hope from their Mom and goes into the ocean with his sister. "Killian, how is the ocean?""Ocean and wonderful at the same time. It is missing something?"Emma smiles. Killian gives his swan a look and lifts her off from the sand "Killian!!" Emma was laughing. He carried her into the ocean."My captain swan needs to join her family in the ocean." Emma giggles and they kiss. "I love you, Captain Hook.""I love you, Captain Swan." They kiss. "Hope, they are kissing." Henry covered Hope's eyes."Henwy." She takes his hand out of his face. "They both love interrupting our kissing, Killian.""Aye, that is our job as their parents." Emma chuckles. They swam a little more until the sun was setting, Henry and Hope were dried up playing in the sand. "Swan, we should be heading back to the beach house.""Yes,it is getting dark and we need to have dinner and unpack." She wrapped her arms around your neck. "You are so romantic, the geeky kind""Aye, I am.""Yes, you are, captain. I love you for it." They kiss. They return to shore, Hope was getting sleepy on Henry. "Mom, Dad she just fell asleep.""She had a very long day." Emma and Killian dried up. Killian gets Hope from his son. "I got your sister, lad." The family walked back to their beach house. Hope wakes up crying. "Little love, don't cry. We are going to eat soon.""Ooo..Ooo...""We are going to go back into the ocean tomorrow, little pirate princess. We are going to the beach every day." Emma gives Hope a bubble bath and joins Hope in the bubble bath to bathe herself. They get changed into pajamas. Hope goes to her Daddy in the bedroom when he was showered. "Dada." Hope was still crying. He holds Hope on his hip."Swan, I have an idea. I will need your help with magic." "I can help.'' They go to the back porch and with Hope on the back porch. Killian takes the shell out of his pocket. "I need your help with your light magic so Hope can talk to her ocean princess best friend."Emma smiles. "Is this the same shell when you were trying to connect to me that you did not leave on your own decision but it was adult Gideon and you were going to do whatever to do to get back to me?""Aye, love the same exact shell. Ariel let me use hers to connect to you that I was coming back, I did not leave you." "Ariel helped you to tell me that you did not leave me.""Aye, I would never leave you, Emma. I was trying so hard to get back home to you. Now, our daughter is using our shell to talk to her best friend." She kisses him on the cheek. Hope babbles. "We are going to make a shell call, little love." Emma used her light magic on the shell. Killian holds the shell, "Ariel...Ariel...are you there.""Yes, Killian. Hi!""Hi, Ariel. It is Killian...""Emma and Hope.""Hi, Emma and Hope. What a wonderful surprise.""Aye, we are in Florida at the beach on vacation. Hope thought we were going to see you and Melody. "Yes...pweas...Dada...Mommy.""Aye, little love we do need Jolly Roger adventure to another realm." Hope and Melody both screamed. Emma, Killian, and Ariel laughed. They enjoyed hearing Hope talking to Melody. When Hope and Melody began crying, "Killian, I know it is way past their bedtimes.""Aye, we had a long day of traveling.""Ariel, we need to plan a playdate for these two when we return to Maine.""Yes, you are all welcome to our castle.""I know Hope and Melody will love it.''Melody say bye-bye to Hope.""Bye."Bye, Mel-Mel." The shell conversation ended. Hope was still crying. Emma hugs her daughter. "I know you had fun talking to your ocean princess best friend. When we visit Melody at her castle, you can tell her all about our beach vacation." Hope hugs her Mommy. "We are going to snuggle after dinner, little buttercup." Hope hugs her Mommy. Killian led his two loves inside. They smell cooking in the kitchen and find Henry cooking. "Son, what are you cooking?""I am cooking tacos."Emma was impressed. "Tacos?""Yes, I found an easy recipe and thought this will be quick to cook. Not your parents..."Emma chuckles."I know what you mean. I did teach you how to cook them. It smells delicious, kid." Hope babbles. "Hope, did you talk to Melody?""Mel-Mel...""Kid, your sister and Melody had a long chat and they want to have a playdate very soon in Melody's castle.""Awesome, another Jolly Roger adventure. Dinner will be ready soon.""Lad, I can help you cook.""Hope and I will set the table." Hope passed plates to her Mommy as they set the table. Killian made Hope's plate of ground beef, cut up tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and taco shell cut up. Emma set Hope in her high chair. "Food!"Emma chuckles. "Henry, Hope is going to try your taco first." "Here you go, little sis." He gives Hope her plate. Hope eats right away."Lad, I think your sister likes it." The family ate dinner together. Emma takes Hope to bed after they finished eating. "Love, I will meet you both upstairs soon." They kiss. Emma and Hope both fall asleep as soon as their heads touch their pillows. Killian joined his two loves in bed, Emma was in the middle of the bed, and he wrapped his arms around his swan. "Night, my swan." The next day, Hope was awake first and took her Pluto doll and went to her brother's room and climbed into bed with Henry. "Henwy..ake...up." "Hope, it is still early. Still sleeping." Hope was babbling and walking around while Henry was still sleeping. Killian wakes up not seeing Hope on the bed and finds Hope on Henry's bed. "Hope.""Dada." She walks to her Daddy. Killian smiles and takes Hope from Henry's bed. "Henry is still sleeping, little love. How about we get breakfast ready?" He carried Hope downstairs. Hope goes to the back door and opens it to go to the beach. "Hope." Killian rushes to his daughter and picks her up."Ooo...dada...ooo...""Yes, little love, ocean. We are going to the beach later; not now in our pajamas." Hope began crying as Killian took Hope back inside. "Hope, no beach until we have breakfast." She puts Hope in her high chair so she would not go back outside without him. "Dada...out...Dada...out.." Killian takes a deep breath first before faces Hope. "Hope, there are times we go outside and times we are inside. Now we are inside for breakfast. After we eat, we are going to get ready for the beach." Hope cried more. Emma woke up hearing Hope crying and goes down to the kitchen seeing Hope crying. "Hope, why are you crying?" "Oo-oo...""Hope escaped to the ocean by opening the backdoor." "Hope, we are going to the beach every day, we are here, sweetie."She gets Hope out of the high chair."You cannot go outside by yourself without Mommy, Daddy, or Henry, Hope." She hugs her daughter. "Hope, do you want to get breakfast at a pancake restaurant? We can get you dressed in your beach clothes before we go so we can go to the beach after breakfast." Hope nods her head yes."Killian, how about we get breakfast on the boardwalk? I saw a pancake house restaurant on the way here yesterday.""Aye, I do like the sound of that." He gives her a look.Emma chuckles. "Not that type of pancakes, the food.""I know what you mean, love. We do need a walk." "We will get ready." Emma gets Hope ready and herself ready in a bikini and a light beach dress as a coverup and braided her hair. "Mommy." Hope hugs her legs. "Dada."Emma kneels to her daughter. "Dada is not mad at you. He just wants you to know that you cannot go out by yourself." Henry sees his Mom talking to his sister. "You can only go outside with Mommy, Dada, and Henry." Hope hugs her Mommy. "Dada is not mad at you." Henry enters the room. "Hope, Daddy is not mad at you, little sis. You cannot go outside by yourself until you are older.""Henwy." Henry holds his sister."Mom, Dad told me we are eating out.""Yes, we are, kid." The Swan-Jones family went on the boardwalk, Henry was carrying Hope who was babbling away walking ahead of their parents. Killian and Emma were walking together hand and hook. "Killian, are you okay?""Emma, I have a feeling that I am being the bad cop parent to Hope.""Killian, Hope needs to know right from wrong and she cannot be leaving the house by herself. That is part of our job as parents disciplining our children when they need to learn about safety and from right from wrong. We just have to reassure her that we are not mad at her, we just need to tell her what she has done is wrong. There is no good cop or bad cop, we are both going to discipline her together. She will be mad or upset when we discipline her but she will love us, because we are teaching her right from wrong so she will know what to do when she is older. That is part of being honest parents. ""You are right, Emma. Hope just thinks that I am mad at her.""Yes.""I will talk to our little lass before we eat breakfast." "That is what I like to hear."They arrived at the restaurant, it was crowded, Emma signed their name in, Swan-Jones. They waited outside. "Lad, I have to borrow your sister." He takes Hope from Henry. "Dada.""Hope, I am not mad at you, little love. I do not want you to escape to the ocean by yourself. You are too little to walk outside on your own. You need to travel outside with Mommy, Dada or Henry. You cannot travel alone, Hope. Do you understand?" Hope nods her head yes. "Good, little love." "Dada." Killian hugs his little lass. "I love you so much, Hope.""Luv you, Dada." Killian smiles and kisses Hope on the head. "You can always come to me, Hope. I am your Dada." He brings Hope back to Emma and Henry who were talking. "So, how is our daughter?"Killian smiles. "She knows not to go outside on her own without you, me, or Henry. She just wants to hug me." "I told you, she will still love you.""Aye, you are right, Emma. Hope loves her Dada." Killian kisses Hope on her cheek. Their name was called, a host lead them to their table and set up a booster seat. "Dada.""Yes, little love you can sit next to me." Emma and Henry sat across from them. As they waited for their order, Henry and Hope colored the kid's menu while Emma and Killian talked. Their meals arrived, Emma ordered apple and cinnamon pancakes, Henry ordered blueberry pancakes, Killian ordered the strawberry pancakes and Hope got chocolate chip pancakes. Killian cut up Hope's pancakes. "Dada.""Hope, he is only cutting up your pancakes, baby girl." "Mom, they are really good.""Yes, they are really good. So is my cinnamon hot cocoa.""Same here." Hope babbles. "Hope, you like your pancakes little sis." Hope screams. "I will take that as a yes." Hope smiles with her face covered with chocolate. After they paid, they walked back to their beach house. Emma was holding Hope was who drinking her milk from her bottle. "Mommy." She hugs her Mommy. "You are with me, baby girl. We are going to the beach.""Ooo-""Yes, ocean." They arrived back to the house, packed for the beach cooler for drinks and snacks, beach chairs, shovels, buckets, towels, an umbrella and a blanket for the sand. "Mom, Dad, I found a wagon to carry all of our stuff.""Nice work, kid." Killian and Henry loaded the wagon as Emma put suntan lotion on Hope who was wearing her Ariel bathing suit and matching water shoes. "Hope, you are ready for the beach." Hope clapped her hands, "Yay!" Emma walks with Hope as Killian pulls the wagon to the beach and they choose the spot not too far from the ocean. As they were setting up, Hope was going to the ocean. "Mom, I will go with her." "Henry, make sure you and Hope stay by the life guard's view.""Yes, Mom." Henry catches up with his sister. "Hope.""Henwy. She grabs his hand and jumps. "I see what you are up to." They jump as the waves come by them in the wet sand. Hope was laughing and squealing with joy enjoying the wet sand. Henry was having fun with his sister and at the same time making sure she did not get in deeper. Killian and Emma set up their spot and sat in the beach chairs next to each other. "Killian, I finally feel like I am on vacation.""Aye, my swan deserves to be on vacation.""Yes, with my captain and our family.""Yes." They kiss and smile. Emma and Killian took photos of Henry and Hope in the ocean and also selfies of each other relaxing.Henry was making sure Hope was going too deep. "Dada." "Do you want to go back to Daddy?" Hope nods her head yes. "Okay." Henry walks with Hope back to their spot. "Dad.""Yes, son?""Hope wants you." Hope tugs on her Daddy's hook. "I told you." Emma chuckles. Killian smiles. "Do you want to go swimming with me?""Dada.""Okay, Hope, lead the way." Hope led her Daddy to the shore and walked around, while other people were standing by the ocean. "Hope, say excuse me, to the people's little love.""Dada.""Yes, we are walking, little love." He was enjoying his one on one time with his little lass who just wants to be with him. "Ooo..""Yes, Hope we are walking by the ocean." Hope laughs. Killian smiles. Henry took pictures of his Dad and sister with his camera. After, Emma and Henry went body surfing in the ocean. The family went in and out of the ocean, taking turns swimming with their children. "Mommy.""Swan, Hope wants to swim with you." Emma swims over to Hope and Killian and gets Hope from Killian. "Mommy!""Hopey. You want to swim with me.""Yes." Hope splashed in the waves as her Mommy was holding her. Henry took pictures of his Mom and sister. As the sun was setting, Hope was fast asleep on Emma wrapped in her towel. The family was heading back to their beach house. "My little fish is tired out from her day at the beach.""Aye, she is a little pirate who loves the ocean. My little pirate princess.""Our little pirate princess." They kiss and continue walking knowing they will have more family fun days ahead on their vacation.
