Christmas Eve

Storybrooke was all decorated for Christmas. It was Christmas Eve, the Swan-Jones family was out sailing. Emma and Killian wrapped every present and it was hidden in a closet for the next day. Now, they were enjoying their family pirate time out on the ocean. Killian was steering the Jolly Roger as Emma was giving sword lessons to Hope on deck and Henry was at his side. "Dad?""Yes, son?""This is fun. Can we do sailing as our second home part of Christmas tradition?""Yes, lad!" "Yes!"Killian smiles seeing his son happy."Son, do you want to steer?""Yes." Killian lets Henry steer and goes to the deck to his two loves. "Dada! Mommy word.""Mommy is giving you a sword lesson?""Yes!" She hugs her Daddy."Swan, Hope loves your lesson."Emma smiles. "She loves my sword lesson." She hugs her daughter. "Mommy best.""I am the best?" She gives Hope kisses on her cheek making her laugh. Hope makes poop. "You need a diaper change.""I can change Hope, swan." He takes Hope from his swan and takes Hope into the captain's quarters. He changes Hope's diaper."Dada." Hope hugs her daddy."Do you want a pirate story?""Piwate, pweas." Killian sits on the bed with Hope on his lap looking at him. "Once upon a time, there was a pirate...""Dada!""Yes, Dada." He continued the story until Hope fell asleep on him. He gently puts Hope on the bed and places her baby blanket on her. "Sweet dreams, little pirate." He returns to the deck finding his swan gazing at the ocean. He knew something was on her mind and wrapped his arms around his wife. "Swan, I am right here. What is on your mind?""It is my Dad.""What about your Dad?""He has been distant from me the last few weeks. Whenever I try to talk to him about what is going on. He tells me it is nothing. I know he is lying to me.""We are going to figure out why, love." Emma leans on his chest as he hugs her and kisses her on the head. It began to snow. "Killian, we are going to have a white Christmas.""Yes, swan, a white Christmas." They kiss. "I am going to help the lad steer.""I have an idea." She snapped her fingers and the Christmas lights turned on around the Jolly Roger."Aye, I love my captain swan!" Emma smiles. Killian returns to the steering wheel. "Dad?""Lad, get inside. I can steer us home." Henry heads inside the captain's quarters. He joined Hope on the bed. When Hope was awake, she sees her brother. "Henwy!""Hi, little sis. We have to stay inside because it is snowing and very cold outside.""Pway!""We can play." Hope gets her colorful ropes. "Oh no." Hope gives her brother the red rope. "Knot!""You want to teach me?""Knot!"Henry smiles. "You can teach me." Hope gives Henry her way of a knot lesson.Emma joins him at the steering wheel. "Killian, what can I do?""Stay next to me, love. I don't want to lose you."Emma was in awe, he was afraid something would happen to her. "Killian?""It is starting to snow, which means the water will be rough. I do not want to lose you." "Let's get our family home before the weather gets worse." Killian sailed his family home with his swan on his side. "Even with the snow, the Christmas lights are very pretty.""Aye, the Christmas lights are helping us sail home." The Swan-Jones family docked back at Storybrooke. Emma helped Killian lower the anchor down and lower the sails. She finds Hope sitting on Henry's lap tying knots. "Henry, is Hope tying knots on your legs again?""No, she was teaching me how to make knots before?""Oh really?""Yes, she was a good teacher. Now, she just wants to hold her ropes." Emmakneels to Hope. "Hope, did you teach Henry knots?""Yes." Emma takes Hope out of her life jacket and back on her pink warm jacket. "Tay Olly Wawa.""We are going home, baby girl. It is snowing outside." Hope began crying. "I know you want to stay in our second home but it is Christmas. Santa is bringing presents to our home on land. We cannot be here while Santa bringing presents on our home on land.""Oh no! Gifts, home." "Little sis, we need to be at home for Satna to bring our presents to us. We need to put milk and cookies for Santa to eat when he brings us presents.""Yes.""I have a story about Santa to read to you.""Yay!!" Hope clapped her hands. "My two duckling pirates. It is time to go home." Emma carried Hope to the deck, finding Killian shoveling snow off the deck. "Killian.""I want to make sure we can walk safely off our second home.""Santa.""Yes, little sis, Santa is coming tonight." The Swan-Jones family walked home together. "Snow.""Yes, little love snow." Hope hugs her Mommy."You are with my baby girl. We are almost home." By their front door, Emma and Killian see Emma's parents. Snow White goes to Emma "Emma!!" Hope started screaming and crying. Emma steps away from her Mary-Margaret holding on to her daughter tight. "Do not go near my daughter." "Mommy." "Killian take Hope inside. Something tells me this is Regina written all over this." "Aye, you mean revenge. Hope will be with me." Killian holds Hope."You are with Daddy, little love." Killian takes Hope inside. "Emma!"Emma approaches her Mom. Charming and Snow White leave. Killian hugs his wife. "Let's go inside, love.""Killian, call Mulan and Lily. I want our squad to be on watch, my mother. I do not trust her. I do not want her to hurt our children.""I will do that love." Killian makes a phone call Henry arrives back outside with Hope. Killian takes Hope inside and gave her a bubble bath and changes her into her Christmas pajamas. Hope gripped onto him. "We are going to cook dinner. After Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas,Kilian read The Night Before Christmas. "It was the night before Christmas..." Hope points at the fireplace. "Yes, like in the book, Hope." He continues to read to Hope. Emma drives Henry to Regina's house. This was the first time in a really long time going to Regina's house angry. The only difference is that Henry lives with her full time. "Stay in the car.""Mom!""Stay in the car for now.""Okay."Emma hugs her son and leaves her yellow bug and marches up to Regina's mansion. She knocks on the door. Regina answers the door smiling seeing a mad Emma. She hugged him and rubbed his back as he cried. "I do not get why she always uses revenge to solve every problem not talking it out like you do.""Everyone reacts differently to news. Ava is part of our family. We are going to have a great Christmas tomorrow with all of the people who love us and support you and Ava. Ava, her family, Allison are all coming over tomorrow to celebrate.""Is Melody coming over?""Ariel says that cannot come because they celebrate Christmas in their kingdom in their own way. I love having Christmas with my family." Henry hugs his Mom. "I love our family traditions too. I am happy that I have you as my Mom." They walked back inside of their house seeing Killian and Hope who was fast asleep on Killian with Pluto dolls on the couch and in their matching Christmas pajamas. "Killian, we are back.""Hi,swan. Lad, how are you?""I am feeling better. How is Hope?""She had her bubble bath but has not left my side. I could not cook dinner, so I ordered in Granny's. Hope fell asleep about 30 minutes ago after storytime. We also laid a plate of cookies and a cup of milk for Santa Claus to snack on. " Henry kisses Hope on the head. "Everyone is home, little sis. You are safe." Henry goes upstairs to take a shower and finishes their parent's Christmas gift. "Did she eat dinner?""Yes, swan. She had her meal from Granny's while we watched <Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas. She told me we needed Pluto with us."Emma smiles. "That explains why all of Hope's Pluto dolls are on the couch.""Aye, she insisted on getting all of her Pluto dolls here.""I have a feeling Hope will be sleeping with us tonight.""Yes, she will. Our little lass is afraid. Swan, dry off, and eat your dinner. I got our little pirate princess."Emma was in awe, her husband is amazing and an amazing Daddy. She kisses him on the cheek."Thank you." She goes upstairs to take a shower and dressed in her Christmas pajama set and goes down and eats her dinner on the couch with Killian. "Swan, what happened?""Regina let her out so she can get revenge for not knowing that Henry was dating Ava. What she did to know that Henry was with me and he heard everything." He got upset in the car because Regina used revenge instead of talking to him.""Aye, she does not know that she was pushing him away.""Exactly." Hope wakes up and sees her Mommy. "Hi, little duckling.""Mommy!" Hope jumped into her Mommy's arms. "I am home, Hope." She hugs her daughter back. "Sleep you.""Yes, sweetie. You can sleep with me and Dada.""Henwy.""He is upstairs." "Henwy." "Let's go see your brother." Emma walked with Hope upstairs to Henry's room.Hope climbs onto her brother's bed and hugs him. "Henwy, sad." "Hope, you are giving me the best hugs when I need them."Emma joined the on the bed. "Henry, she will come around.""She needs to learn no to use revenge to solve her problems.""I knew she needed to learn that since I came to Storybrooke." She hugs her son. "Henwy. "Little sis, do you want to do art with me?""Yes! Art!""Mom, Hope won't be up too late."Emma goes downstairs finding her husband in the living room building a fire in the fireplace. "Killian." She runs to him and he watches her in his room. "You are safe with me, swan. Everything is going to be okay.""No, it is not. She is out now. She can come here again and try to kidnap our daughter." Emma began crying. "She is not going to hurt our family. We just have to be extra careful around here now.""I do not want to lose our daughter.""We are not going to lose Hope, Emma. Not on my watch.""Our watch." He hugs her back. "Our watch, our family will be safe." She laid her head on his shoulder. Killian turns on his iPod playing his favorite Christmas song,It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas. "It is beginning to like Christmas..." Emma smiles hearing Killian singing and showing his Christmas spirit which she needed. They danced around the living room hugging each other, knowing they will have a great Christmas day with their family.
