Happy Beginning Captain Swan

Changes

A few days after Killian's birthday, it was February, Emma and Killian were in the hammock snuggling with cinnamon cocoa. "Killian, Henry has been out of school for over a week. We have to figure out Henry's education. He cannot concentrate in his classes which are not good for himself and grades."
"Aye, the lad is unhappy at school. He cannot be in that environment where he feels unsafe and constant stress from his bullies."
"I just want our son to be happy, safe and confident in everything he does...I hate how much teasing he is getting at school." Emma sighs. "He is being bullied for being himself and normal which is wrong. I was bullied all of my life in the foster system and at every school, I went to I was the new kid, wearing old hand-me-down clothes and I fell behind in school...I was an outcast my whole life. I do not want that for our son. I want him to have a safe learning environment to learn in."
"You and I will make sure Henry will have a safe place to learn, Emma. I will help you."
"I do have an idea. I have been researching homeschooling programs that are online. I have been thinking about this for a while now since he was bullied the first time."
"Homeschooling seems like the best option for our son."
"We can enroll him in an online school but our job is to make sure he stays on top of his work."
"Yes, that is our top priority. You can do the reading and writing while I can help him with his math and science. We can work together with Henry's homeschooling together." He hugs his wife.
"I want him to have everything I did not have, like a good education and being able to go to college. I was so far behind in school from moving around all the time. At every school the lessons were different and I was bullied at school too. I did not have the support for help from any of the foster parents or anyone to go to when I was bullied. I did not finish high school because I ran away from the foster system at sixteen since I could not take it anymore. I got my GED in prison when I was pregnant with Henry. When I gave him up, I wanted his best chance, everything I could not give him...but now..." She sighs. "He is getting bullied to the point that he cannot go to school without being hurt...I want him to be happy and feel safe."
"You are giving him everything, Emma. He has a home where you are raising him, a family that loves him, he has Regina in his life still, two moms who protect him and he is happy here and open with you and I. You and I are going to work together to make sure Henry gets the education he needs even if it is online school."
"Online school could be good for him. He is a smart kid. I am just hoping that we are making the right decision by putting him in homeschooling."
"Aye, that is why we are a team, love." They kiss.
"Now we have to tell Regina about our plan. I am pretty sure Henry is going to be happy."
"Swan, the lad is going to be thrilled." Emma chuckles and hugs her husband.
"I am so happy to have you on my side, especially making big decisions on our family."
"Aye, that is why we are team Swan-Jones." They kiss.
Emma checks on Henry in his room. "Hey, Henry."
"Hi, Mom. I am just reading a Harry Potter book."
She joins Henry on the bed. "Which book are you reading?"
"The Goblet of Fire."
"Cool."
"Mom..."
"Yes?"
"When does the teasing stop? I cannot take it anymore..."
Emma knows her son was unhappy and hugs him. "Henry, I have good news for you."
"What is it? Mom."
"Well, your Dad and I talked about you and school. We decided to let you be homeschooled, online school."
"Mom, really?!" Henry hugs his Mom.
"Yes, Henry. You were being bullied way too much. The last incident was the final straw. Your Dad and I have to talk to Regina about it. You have to do an online school program."
"Mom, I will do the work."
"We will make you a schedule."
"I will work hard, Mom."
"I know, you will, kid. Your Dad and I will teach you your lessons." Killian carries Hope into the room.
"Mommy."
"Hi, baby girl." Hope babbles. Killian brought Hope to Henry's bed, Hope walks to her Mommy.
"Did you have a good nap?" Hope babbles and hugs her Mommy.
"Hi, little sis."
"Henwy!"
Henry hugs his sister. "Dad, Mom told me that I am going to be homeschooled."
"Aye, yes that is our plan."
"Can we have a sailing lesson soon?"
Killian smiles. "Yes, but when you are finished with your lessons." Henry hugs his Dad.
Regina arrived at the Swan-Jones house to talk to Emma and Killian about Henry. Killian answered the door, "Hi, your majesty, come in."
"Hi, Killian. Where is Henry?"
"He took Hope out to the park. Emma is in the kitchen which is where we are going to talk. Thank you for coming over."
"You are welcome. I understand why you and Emma want to talk here not at the station."
"Aye, Emma ordered the squad to keep the former lost boys in the station longer."
"From what they cause Henry, I do not blame Emma delaying extending their punishment. How about Leo?"
"He is still in juvenile hall. Charming is with Snow White in the cabin in the woods, he is watching his wife from the angry parents and trying to get back into reality about their son."
"Snow White needs to wake up."
"Aye, we all agree on that." They entered the kitchen.
"Hi, Emma."
"Hi, Regina. Thank you for coming over." They sat at the kitchen table.
"Emma and Killian, Henry needs to return to school."
"We know Regina, he was humiliated in front of the whole school. We have to make him feel safe and not going to be embarrassed at school."
"Swan, tell her about..."
"Tell me about what Emma?
"Henry asked me to be homeschooled, most likely online school. I told him that I will talk to you and Killian about it. He told me that he cannot concentrate on studying for his SATS or his other school work from the bullying. He needs to feel safe in school again. I do not like seeing him stressed out. He hates being different."
"Aye, Henry told me how much he hates being different and does not feel like he belongs in school. I just want the lad to be happy and feel safe where he is learning."
"Regina, we were thinking we can homeschool him. Killian and I can help him study for the SATS, which we have been doing with him. We also have been helping him with his homework."
"I do not like homeschooling for Henry."
"Regina, he does not feel safe in school."
"He needs to face his fears."
"Henry was stripped down naked in front of the whole school by two bullies and locked in a closet! He was humiliated and hates school, Regina. I do not want our son to go through hell, being teased every day which could get stress and failing classes from the bullying. This is one of many times he has been bullied since he started high school. I want him to try homeschooling."
"I want Henry to face his fears at school."
"Regina, he needs to know that he is safe. He does not feel safe in school."
"The lad has been through hell a lot in this bloody school where he kept being teased. His grandmother and her students were mostly the main causes of his teasing. He cannot concentrate on his studies. He can work at home, doing computer school. Emma and I can make sure he stays on his school schedule."
"He can do his schoolwork here at home or at the sheriff's station. Or at your office. We spoke to him, he is not ready to go back to school. I do not want him to fall behind in his classes which is why Killian and I want him homeschooled." Regina did not look happy. "Regina, I want him back in school but with bullying by my mom and classmates, it is not going to help him get the best grades in school. I want him to get the best grades he can so he can go to college. So he won't be a high school dropout like I was..." Killian held his wife's hand. "I want him to go to college."
"Emma, I do not like homeschooling..."
"We have to try Regina. It may be the best route for him. I hate him being afraid of being hurt or teased and not being able to concentrate on his school work. After seeing him stripped naked in that closet I had that gut feeling to have him homeschooled even before he asked me. I just know this is going to be good for him."
"You and Killian really did your research into homeschooling."
"Aye, we both did Regina. We want our son to be safe when he is learning, not get bullied."
"Henry's bullies were mostly from my mom's class. He told me that he and her glare at each other."
"Snow White..."
"Regina, she is not teaching now..."
"Yes but I want her out of that school when she returns."
"What do you think of Henry's being homeschooled?"
"I was homeschooled I never liked it. No one in Storybrooke ever has been homeschooled. At the rate of Henry's being bullied...As long as he gets good grades and keeps up with his work, he can be homeschooled."
"We will make sure of it, Regina. We spoke to him about it and he is going to do the work. Now our next step is to figure out the online school program he is going to be in..." As they were looking up online schools for Henry, he took Hope to his castle. He pushed Hope in her stroller. "Hope, this is a different park. A park where I called it my castle."
"Castle."
Henry smiles hearing Hope's new word. "Yes, castle." Henry takes Hope out of her stroller and helps her up the steps. He catches Hope every time she goes down the slide. "Yay Hope!" Hope clapped her hands. He was enjoying seeing his baby sister playing on the small playground where he and their Mom have their private talks or go whenever he felt alone. Now he is showing his sister his secret spot and seeing how much his life has changed ever since he brought their Mom to Maine and how she gave him a normal family life with their Dad and his sister. "Henwy." Henry joins his sister on the playset. Hope hugs her brother. Henry takes a selfie with Hope.
"Hopey." He puts Hope on his lap. "Do you know this is where I always came here to think when I was sad and felt lonely?" Hope babbles. "When I brought Mommy to Storybrooke, she always found me here whenever I was sad and felt lonely. We had our special talks here, I told Mommy is the savior, the reason why she was put in the wardrobe and giving everyone hope. We also planned a few parts of Operation Cobra here. Ever since I brought Mommy here, Storybrooke changed and she broke the dark curse and other curses after that."
"Mommy."
"Yes, Hope. Our Mommy is the best. Now you know this is a special spot for me and Mommy. This castle used not to have a slide my other Mom, Regina improved the castle which is safer for you to play in. " Hope babbles. Henry smiles. "It can be our special spot, you and me and Mommy. You can always come here to talk with me or to Mommy." Hope babbles. "You want to go down the slide?"
"Henwy."
"I will go down with you." He goes down with Hope.
"Whee!" Henry smiles. Hope babbles.
"Do you want a snack?" He lets Hope walk to the stroller. Henry showed her a bag of goldfish and a bag of animal crackers. Hope grabbed the goldfish. "Good choice." He opened the goldfish bag and he ate the animal crackers. Hope babbles. "You want an animal cracker?" Hope babbles. "Say please." Hope rubs her belly the sign language, please. He gives her an animal cracker. "Mommy packs the best snacks."
"Yes."
After time at the castle, Henry puts Hope back in her stroller. "Hope, you want to go to the library or home?"
"Ome." Henry pushed Hope in the stroller home. "Mommy...Dada...Mommy...Dada..." When they arrived home, Henry found his parents all three of them in the living room. Emma saw them first.
"Hey, kid. Hi, Hope."
"Hi, Mom." Henry takes Hope out of her stroller and Hope runs to their Mommy.
"Mommy."
Emma scoops Hope into her arms. "Hi, baby girl. Did you have fun with Henry?"
"Yes!"
"You did!" She hugs her daughter and son. "Henry, how was the park?"
"It was fun. Hope, tell Mommy your new word."
"Castle!"
Emma was smiling big, "Aww, Henry, you brought Hope to your castle?"
"Yes, I figured it was time for Hope to learn where you and I go to talk. I told her she can use our secret spot for talks to talk to you or me."
Emma was still in awe and hugs her son. "Henry, that is really awesome for sharing your secret place with Hope."
"Hope is my sister. I want Hope to know she can talk to us and have a safe place to talk."
Hope babbles. "Hope, Henry took you to his castle?" Hope screams. "Yes, it is the best castle." Regina and Killian had no idea what they were talking about.
"Mom, Hope had fun with me. On the way home, Hope kept saying mommy and daddy the whole way here. She was looking forward to seeing you and Dad." Emma was in awe.
"She is just happy to be home." She kisses Hope on the head.
"Little love, did you run around in the park?"
"Dada."
"Aye, I can tell you had fun with Henry." He gave Hope kisses on her cheek.
Henry sees his other Mom and hugs her. "Mom."
"Hi, Henry. I can tell you had fun in the park with your sister."
"Yes, I did."
Emma approaches Henry and Regina. "Henry, we have good news for you."
"Mom, what is it?"
"You are going to be homeschooled for now on."
"Yes!" He hugs both of his Moms. "Thank you."
"Kid, we are going to create the school schedule together."
"You mean I can create the schedule and on certain days then we can go sailing."
"Lad, yes but school is first then sailing."
"Awesome."
"You can do your homeschooling here, at the sheriff station..."
"Or at my office."
"Awesome!"
Regina faces her son. "Are you sure you want to do this Henry?"
"Yes, even though I am going to miss my art classes..."
"How about I can have your art teacher come here to give you art lessons?"
"Really? Mom, Mom and Dad?"
"Yes, kid. Regina that is a great idea."
"Well, I know that our son is very very talented."
"Henwy!"
"Hope, you can join my art lessons here." Hope clapped her hands.
"Emma enrolled you in an online school. Before you start online school, you need to empty out your locker."
Henry got afraid. "Mom, I cannot go back there."
"You need to face your fears, Henry."
"No!"
Emma placed her arm around her son. "Kid, I can come with you to empty out your locker."
"Really?
"Yes, Henry."
Henry smiles. "Mom, I will meet you in the car." Henry goes to the yellow bug.
Regina was getting annoyed. "Emma..."
Emma was mad. She hands Hope to her husband and faces Regina. "Regina, Henry is afraid of going there alone. You cannot force him to do something when he is not ready or afraid to go alone. He needs our support, which is one of the reasons why Killian and I decided to homeschool him."
"Fine. I want him to face his fears."
"You did not see him in the closet, Regina. It was awful seeing him there...I did not have anyone at his age to protect me from bullies but my parents' were trapped here in a curse. If I had parents I would not be in the foster system, a teenage runaway on the run or met Neal where he framed me for his crime. I got stuck in prison because of him for almost a year and had to give Henry up, all alone. I am there for my son supporting him when he needs me. Not putting him down when he needs the right support. " Before Emma and Regina have a fight. Killian holds his wife's hand.
"Swan, I will stay here with Hope. You can take Henry to empty his locker."
"Thanks, Henry and I will be back soon." They kiss. Emma leaves the house.
"Regina, I know you want him to face his fears but there comes a time when he needs to feel supported and safe. You and I both had rough pasts where we did not feel safe. I want that for Henry." Hope began to cry. "Hope, are you hungry for lunch?" Hope nods her head.
Regina felt bad for Emma knowing it was her fault for separating her parents and now feud with her Mom."Killian, I know you and Emma will work with him on his homeschooling. Henry can use my office to work."
"Aye, I know he will visit more often to use your office as a study place. He is happy about this plan, Regina."
"I know. Can you tell Emma I am not mad at her."
"Aye, I will Regina." Regina leaves the Swan-Jones house. Killian cooks Hope lunch of macaroni and cheese with broccoli. Emma drove Henry to high school.
"I cannot go in there."
Emma holds her son's hand. "You can do this, Henry. I am going in with you." Emma walked with her son inside and stayed with him as he emptied out his locker, students in the halls saw him and were laughing at him. "Leave my son alone!" She puts a protective arm around her son. "If anyone laughs again at my son, I will put you in jail, where your other classmates are still in." The students in the hallway stopped laughing. "Let's go home, Henry."
Before they entered the car, Henry hugs his Mom."Thank you for sticking me up in there."
"You are welcome, Henry."
They returned home, Killian and Hope were playing in the living room. Killian saw the look on their faces that it did not go well. "Henry."
"Mom, Dad thank you for letting me be homeschooled." He hugged both of his parents.
"I knew it was the right decision, kid."
"You are welcome, lad." Henry goes upstairs to his room.
Hope walks over to her Mommy. "Up!" Emma held her daughter and gave her a hug.
"Emma, what happened?"
"I went into the school with him to empty out his locker. Students were laughing at him. I threatened them to put them in jail if they did not stop laughing at our son, they stopped laughing after I threatened them. I am so happy we made the right decision."
"Aye, we definitely made the right decision." They kiss.
Emma got a phone call from Storybrooke prison, while Hope was tugging her hair."Hello...yes, this is her. Okay. I am on my way."
"I got a call from Annie from prison. She needs me."
"What is going on?"
"Something about the prison giving her a hard time with the baby."
"Emma, I can go with you."
"Killian, I can go alone. Henry needs one of us. I know Hope is happier being here than being afraid in prison." Hope babbles. "You are going to cheer Henry up!"
"Henwy."
Killian takes his little lass from his wife. "Emma, I will keep an eye on the lad. If you need anything call me."
"Thank you. I am not going there alone. I have an idea of who can help me."
"Mommy, tay...."
"Hopey, Mommy has to be sheriff. I need to help someone in need, which is part of my job. When I get home we will have one on one time." Hope began to cry. She takes her daughter from her husband. "Hopey, my job as sheriff and savior is to help others and to keep the town safe. Most importantly, keep the town safe for you and Henry. When I get home, we are going to snuggle and have storytime." Hope babbles. "Yes, Mommy and Hope time." Hope hugs her Mommy. Emma and Killian looked at each other knowing Hope wanted her to stay and Emma cannot be in two places at once. "I know you are going to have so much fun here with Dada and Henry." Hope hugs her tighter, Emma felt the love of her daughter in her hug. "I love you so much, little duckling." Emma makes a phone call before driving to the prison. "Killian, I have someone meeting me there."
"Aye, you have a plan?"
"Yes, I do captain."
"Aye, be careful, love."
"I will." They kiss. Killian takes Hope from his wife who did not want to let her Mommy go.
Hope was crying. "Mommy...Mommy..." Killian holding onto Hope who was trying to get back to his swan.
"Hopey, I will be home soon." Emma gave Hope a kiss and leaves. She hates leaving her daughter and hearing Hope crying out for her but Hope was home with her daddy. Killian was trying his best to comfort Hope."Hope, Mommy is going to be home soon, little love. She needs to be sheriff." Henry comes downstairs.
"Hopey, why are you crying baby sis?"
"Mommy..."
"Mommy will be home soon. Hope, do you want to storytime? Or playtime"
"No...Mommy..."
"Lad, your Mom had to go be sheriff for a little while. She already set up your homeschool program on your laptop."
"I can start my first lesson." Henry goes to his room. Killian brought Hope to the living room, turned on the television to Barney and sat on the couch and rubbed Hope's back. "Mommy will come home soon, Hope. You have Dada. I am not going anywhere." Hope clung onto her Daddy still sad, he was hugging his little lass he hates seeing her upset but enjoying the snuggles. Henry brought down a few of Hope's favorite toys. "Hopey, look what I brought down little sis."
"Henwy." He gave Hope kisses on her cheek and tickles Hope with her Pluto doll and Ariel doll making her laugh.
"I can make you laugh."
"Henwy."
"Hopey." Hope babbles. Killian smiles seeing his son cheering up his little sister. All three of them watched television together. Emma arrived at the Storybrooke prison and saw Ashley. "Hi, Ashley."
"Hi, Emma."
"Thank you for meeting me here."
"You are welcome. How can I help you?"
"There is a single mom in prison named Annie. When the war was over, she gave birth to a daughter. With Regina's help of getting donations, I helped Annie keep her daughter in prison..."
"What is it, Emma?"
"Her crime was stealing for food and money, she came from the Land of Untold Stories..."
"Like Clorinda and my evil stepmother?"
"Yes. She has been on the run ever since she arrived in Storybrooke until she got arrested. She did not want the baby's father to know about him...then the war, he escaped and found out. He kidnapped me and.." She sighs. "He wanted to hurt me since he was furious about not wanting children and I helped her keep the baby."
"Oh my gosh..."
"Killian found me and rescued me."
Ashley smiles. "I always knew you and Killian had a special connection."
"You and everyone else in Storybrooke knew. The prison is giving her trouble with the baby. I can talk to the security guards. I know you are the leader of the Mommy and Me groups, can you give Annie baby tips? Her daughter is 3 months old."
"Of course, I can, Emma. I have a bag of baby tips in my bag."
"You are awesome, Ashley." They went into the prison, Emma showed her sheriff's badge, "We are here to see Annie." They went through metal detectors and were patted down. As they were led to Annie's cell, they heard other prisoners screaming and banging on their cell doors, Emma had flashbacks of her own prison experience, when she was in prison for Neal's crime and pregnant with Henry. The guard knocks on the door. "Annie, you have visitors."
The guard opened the cell, Annie sees Emma. "Emma..." Annie and Rose were both crying.
"Annie, this is my friend Ashley. Rose, don't cry."
"Annie, my job is to help new mothers." Ashley holds Rose and calms her down. "Hi, Rose."
Emma comforts Annie. "Annie, what is going on?"
"I hate the rules here...they tell me when to go in the cell, and keep it so clean b-but how can I keep this place spotless with all of Rose's baby supplies... When I do not listen, they push me against the wall and Rose cries."
Emma hugs Annie. "You are being a great mother to Rose here. I know being in prison is hard since they have all of these rules telling you when to eat, sleep, take a shower, it is awful. You are taking care of your baby, Annie."
"She is making me happier in this prison. I just do not know what to do when I cannot follow their rules on time."
Emma holds Annie's hand. "You are not alone, here. You have your daughter here with you. You have me and Ashley for you to talk too. We both have been in similar situations. I was pregnant in prison. I would not have known how to raise Henry here if I kept him in prison. I did not have that choice, I did not want him to live in a prison or worse in foster care. So I have my son up for his best chance and put him up for adoption. I hated the foster system and did not want him in the foster system like I was..." Ashley was surprised to hear about Emma's past. "I have an idea." Emma poofs a laundry hamper from her light magic. "You can use this to keep this room less messy during roll call. You can hang it on the wall or put it inside the crib."
"Thank you, Emma."
"You are welcome. Are you and Rose getting enough to eat?"
"Yes, we get food when we need to eat thanks to you and Regina. We still have baby clothes, Rose outgrew a lot of them."
"Annie, I can bring them with me to lessen space. I can bring more clothes for Rose. I know where I can get extra baby clothes from donations from my daycare parents' and the mommy and me groups I run in town."
"Thank you...."
"Ashley."
"Rose, this is my friend Ashley. I brought her here so she can give you baby tips."
"You are in good hands with Emma, I was her first save when she came into town. She got me to keep my baby during the dark curse."
"I am lucky to have her as a friend."
Ashley joins Annie on her bed and gives her tips. Emma was holding Rose. "Hi, Rosie." Rose smiles. "You are so cute." Emma thought of Hope being so small. She looks at Annie and Ashley getting along and smiles knowing they will be friends.
"Emma, I need Rose for a tip example." Emma hands over Rose over to Ashley.
Emma sees a security guard outside. "Ashley, I will be outside." One of the security guards was in the hallway. "How is Annie here in the prison?"
"Annie keeps to herself and to her baby. Other inmates try to scare her and the baby."
"Annie told me she gets hurt by other security guards during roll call."
"She fights back when she doesn't listen during roll call and our searches. Her room is a mess."
Emma was getting mad. "Of course her room is not neat as a pin and tidy because she is a mother to a baby. Raising a baby is not an easy or clean job. It is not just her in that cell, there is a baby in there. Do not hurt Annie in front of her child..."
"I am doing my job. Her baby is the only baby in this prison."
"Yes, even though Annie is a prisoner, treat her as a mother and a human being, not an animal..."
"We treat all of them as animals."
"Yes, I know from being in prison myself, I was framed for a crime and stuck in prison for eleven months innocent. I also had a child in prison, I had no one, I was alone just like her. Just treat Annie as you would do for a family member as a single mom or a relative."
"I..I understand sheriff."
"Good. The mayor and I have accommodations for Annie and her baby, we want to make sure her accommodations are being used for her and the baby, tell the rest of the security guards."
"Yes, sheriff."
"The visitor inside Ashley is going to visit her often for baby tips so she will have the support from the town. We are making a community for the support of prison mothers. I do not want to hear from Annie that she is being treated like an animal again. Got that? If not, the mayor will be here. Understood?"
"Yes..sheriff."
"Good."
The security checked the time and knocks on the door. "Annie, visiting time is over."
Ashley hugs Annie before leaving. "Annie, I will visit soon.
"Great. Emma, thank you for visiting."
"You are welcome, Annie." They hugged. "If you nee anything else, you can call me or Ashley. We are your support group."
"Thank you both so much for coming. I know that I am not alone anymore." Rose coos. "Yes, Rose. You and I are not alone anymore."
"You are not alone, Annie."
Emma and Ashley leave the prison. "Emma, now I understand what you meant when we first met. I thought my attic was a prison not until seeing a real prison today....wow...this place is awful..."
"Yes, prison is worse than living on the streets."
"Emma, prison is where you were when you had Henry?"
"Yes, Neal framed me for his crime. I had Henry in prison when I was seventeen..."
"Emma..."
"I had many people in my life in the foster system and in prison telling me who I was my whole life. You just gotta punch back and say, "No, this is who I am." I fought back after prison and learned to stick up for myself. Having Henry in prison and alone was awful, I was alone and had no one at my side. When I met you, I had to tell you to fight for yourself since it is your life and your choices. I knew you could do it with the support you needed from someone, I was alone. I did not want you to be alone."
"That is why you did not want me to be alone when I was in labor. You were the first one who told me to make my own decisions since it is my life."
"Yes, I wanted you to have support where I did not have."
"Emma, you changed my life. I am happy that you called me to help, Annie. I like giving back and making new friends at the same time. My Mommy and me group is expanding."
Emma smiles."I had a feeling you will be my best option when I got this phone call."
"That is why I came prepared. Emma, I know you are not alone anymore since Henry brought you here, you changed you opened up."
"You have to thank Killian and Henry for that..."
"Well, you can turn around and see you are not alone."
Emma turns around and smiles big seeing her pirate husband at her yellow bug. "Killian." She runs to him and he lets her wrap her legs around his hips as he held her in his arms.
"Hi, Emma." He hugs him hard knowing how much she hates prisons since Neal framed her into one for his crime.
"I see your plan worked?"
"Yes, Ashley helped me here. What are you doing here?"
"I thought I will drive you home." She hugs him hard. "I just know you by now, Emma. You hate going to prison, I wanted to make sure my wife was alright."
Emma puts her head on his chest."I am alright now that you are here with me."
"Let's go home, Emma."
"Yes." He kisses her on the head. Emma drove her yellow bug as Killian placed his hook on his lap comforting his swan. She did not drive them home instead she parked at the docks and climbed to the roof of the yellow bug.
"Emma?" Killian found his wife sitting on the hood of the car and staring at the ocean. He joined her on the roof knowing she had a rough day. He hugged his wife. Emma sighs and lies on his chest. He rubs her back.
Emma began to cry. "Killian, hold me." Killian stopped rubbing her back and held his wife in his arms. "I hate prison...I hate it...I got flashbacks of my time in prison. I was alone...giving birth to Henry...I had no one..." She cried more.
"Emma...I am right here...I am right here, shh...shh...I am not going anywhere. I am staying right here with you." He kisses her on her blonde head and hugs her in his arms. "You are safe, Emma. You are not alone in that bloody awful prison anymore for Neal's crime, which you were framed of. You are out of prison. You have a job, a home with me your husband who loves and cares for you always. You have our children who love their Mommy so much and you are amazing with them. We all love you, Emma, your family and we are your home. You are never going back to that bloody awful place ever again, you are not a criminal, Emma. You are my beautiful wife and best Mommy to our children. You are my home, I am your home. We are not going to be separated again, we proved that from time to time again. You are a survivor like I am, Emma."
Emma faces her husband. "Which is why we are true loves."
"Yes, Emma."
She kisses him on his lips."I love you."
"I love you, Emma." They kiss.
"I want to see our kids."
"Aye, I know they will be very happy to see you, Emma." By the time they arrived home, it was evening. Emma entered the house feeling relieved of being back to her home. She finds Henry in his room. "Hey, kid."
"Mom." Henry hugs his Mom.
"I am so happy to be home."
"Was the case bad?"
"Yes, it gave me flashbacks of when I was in prison..."
"You are home, Mom with me, Dad and Hope." He hugs his Mom. "You are the best, Mom."
"Thanks, kid. How was watching Hope?"
"I helped Dad calm her down after you left. Dad knew you needed him, he made sure we had dinner before he left and also gave Hope a bubble bath. She fell asleep after I read to her a few stories from my storybook. I also looked into my homeschooling program. Thank you for getting me into homeschooling and out of regular school."
"You are welcome, Henry." Henry hugs his Mom.
"Thank you, Henry, for being an amazing big brother to Hope today."
"You are welcome, Mom." They hug. "I love my baby sister. Speaking of love.."
Emma gave her son a look. "Love?"
"What are you and Dad plans for Valentine's day?"
"I have a few ideas, it is my turn to plan our date night." Killian arrives upstairs.
"Aye, I have a feeling, I will be surprised." He kisses Emma on the cheek.
"You will be surprised, captain." They kiss.
"I have grilled cheese and onion rings for my swan."
"Thank you. I will eat that in our room while we watch Netflix."
"Aye, I will put Outlander on."
"Season 5 is coming out soon."
"Aye, you have that marked on your calendar for months." Emma giggles.
"Mom?"
"Yes?"
"Tomorrow can we get Granny's before we start my homeschooling?"
"Yes, Henry, we can."
"Hope and Dad are joining us."
"Yes, kid. A family morning at the diner then homeschooling at home." Hope woke up crying.
"Our little lass knows that you are home, swan."
Emma smiles. "It seems so." Emma enters Hope's room. "Hopey...."
"Mommy." Emma gets her daughter from her crib and hugs her daughter.
"Mommy is home, Hope." She kisses Hope on the head.
"Ome."
"Yes, I am home. I missed you when I was out being sheriff."
"Luv you, Mommy." Emma was in awe with tears in her eyes of Hope's almost full sentence.
"I love you too, Hope so much." She kisses Hope on the head. "Killian, Henry..." They entered the room. "Hopey, say that again."
"Luv you, Mommy." Killian was smiling big hearing Hope's almost full sentence.
"Little love, we love you too."
"Dada, Henwy luv you." Killian kisses Hope on the head.
"Mom, Hope's sentence."
"Yes, it is almost her first full sentence."
"Hopey. He gave her kisses on her cheek. "I told you, Mom. She missed you today."
Emma was still crying and smiling. "I am just happy to be home with my family." Henry hugs his mom and sister as Killian wrapped his arm around his swan and gave her a kiss on her cheek. They look at each other knowing their family is all together and at home knowing they are not going to be separated from each other. They kiss.
