Happy Beginning Captain Swan

Family Weekend

It was Friday morning, Killian was driving the family car down to Boston, Emma was in the back with the two girls as he was driving. Leia was cooing. "Leia, you are excited for your first road trip to Boston!" Leia moves her lips around. "You get to see where Mommy met Henry besides a very fun weekend." She kisses her daughter's hands.
"Swan, how is it going back there?
"We are good. No bathroom stops needed yet."
"Dada, Mommy, how long to Henwy?"
"We still have a long way, sweetie."
Hope folded her arms together. "Oh, man."
Emma and Killian both chuckle. "We are going to see Henry very soon, little love."
"Stay wif you."
"You are not going anywhere without me, daddy Leia and Henry."
"Aye, no wandering off, Hope." They stopped at a gas station, Killin filled up the gas as Emma changes Leia's diaper and bottle feed her. Killian takes Hope for a potty break and buy a snack for the rest of the trip.
Emma was burping Leia when Hope returned to their car. "Mommy, tweats."
"You got treats."
"Yes, for me, Dada and you." She hands her Mommy an Apollo candy car.
"Thank you, Hope. I am going to eat it after I burp Leia." She puts Leia back in her carseat. "You can have a good nap, sweetie." Leia yawns. Hope gets in her car seat and Emma checks her buckle in. Killian continues driving. Emma eats her Apollo bar and shares it with Hope. A few more hours on the road, Killia arrived in Boston to Emma's old apartment.
"Swan, is this your old apartment?"
Emma looks at the building and smiles. "Yes, it is."
"Boston, Mommy?"
"Yes, sweetie. We are staying in Mommy's old apartment." Killian began unloading the trunk of the car, as Emma unbuckled Hope and held Leia in her carrier. "Let's go to Mommy's apartment."
"Yes!" Hope gets to her Daddy. "Dada, I help."
Killian smiles letting Hope carry her suitcase on wheels. They went inside the building to the elevator. "What floor, love?"
"8th floor." Leia began crying. "We are going to my apartment, sweetie. You can lie down in there." Emma got her keys and opened the door, remembering the last time she was here she was alone.
"This is where you used to live?"
"Yes, this is where Henry found me." The apartment is still the same. Leia cried more. Emma laid Leia on her bed and checked her diaper, Killian gave Emma the diaper needs as she was changing her daughter's diaper. "There you go, Leia. You are all clean."
"Swan, I will get the travel crib and last to our luggage."
"Thank you."
Hope climbs on the bed. "Leia, awake."
"Yes, sweetie. She can play with you." Hope sits next to her sister and gives her a finger for her to hold.
Killian returns to Emma lying down next to Leia, cooing at their daughter. Hope was looking in her luggage bag. "Little pirate-princess, what are you looking for?"
"Pluto." He sets down the travel crib and opens Hope's luggage. "Pluto!" She takes out her medium size doll and hugs him. "Thank you, Dada." She hugs his legs.
"You are welcome, little love." Killian turns on the television to PBSkids, for Hope to watch Arthur, then he sets up the travel crib.
Emma looks up seeing the travel crib all set up. "Killian, it fits in here?
"Yes, swan. The travel crib is ready for Leia tonight. I added the changing table on the side. Both of our little loves will be sleeping here tonight with us." They heard knocking on the door.
"I will get it." Emma gets out of bed and opens the door, she sees her son.
"Are you Emma Swan?" Henry smiles.
Emma smiles remembering him asking her Dad when he was so little. "Hi, Henry." She hugs her son. "My baby boy is here."
"Hi, Mom. How was the ride here?"
"It was good. We had a few stops."
"Henwy!!" Hope hugs his legs.
"Hi, Hope." He holds her on his hip. They enter the apartment. "Wow, your apartment has not changed."
Emma laughs. "Yes, the only differences are your sisters, your Dad, and better food in the refrigerator."
"I remember the juice you had and the cupcake I ate while you were freaking out I found you in the bathroom."
Emma smiles. "Yes, you were right. I was hyperventilating in my bathroom." She hugs her son. "You found me on my birthday, kid, and brought me home."
"I remember, and your birthday is coming up."
"Yes, it is a week from now."
"Henwy, scawed Mommy?"
Henry chuckles. "Mommy did not know I was coming to take her to Maine."
"Ooh,a supwise!"
"Exactly, Hope. I was very surprised to see your big brother who was 10 years old at my door on my birthday."
"He made your birfday not alone."
"That is right, Hope." Emma holds her daughter. "I was not alone anymore, Henry brought me home to our family."
"I was wondering since family weekend starts tomorrow on campus. Can we go pumpkin picking?"
"Can we go?"
Henry knew his parents were tired from traveling with a newborn. "I can drive us."
Killian carries his littlest love on his chest to the rest of their family. "Do I hear a pumpkin picking adventure?"
"Hi, Dad. I am driving if we are going. Mom?"
Emma pretends to think, "I do have Leia's pumpkin picking onesie with us. We are going!"
"Yes we are going!"
"Yay!"
Henry holds his little sister and spun her around. Leia began crying. Henry faces his baby sister."Leia, we are going pumpkin picking baby sis." Leia wailed.
Emma scooped her daughter into her arms. "Leia, Leia, rainbow duckling, Mommy is here. We are going to get pumpkin together." She bounces her up and down to calm her down., which worked. "I have an outfit for you to wear." She changes her daughter into a pumpkin onesie. "You can be with Mommy while we ard the pumpkin patch." She kisses Leia on the head and held her daughter on her chest.
"Dad, I can drive the family car." Killian gets the diaper bag.
"Henwy."
"I am driving the car to the pumpkin patch. We need to teach Leia how to pick pumpkins."
"We can teach her." They went to the car, Henry was driving the car to the nearest pumpkin car. Leia was wailing in her car seat. "Baby sis, stop cwying, pwease."
"You are using your manners, little love. Your sister does not want to be in her car seat."
"She needs be in her car seat because it is safe."
"You are right, Hope. Safety is important." Emma puts Leia's pacifier in her mouth. "Leia, we are almost there, sweetie. You will be out of your car seat soon, rainbow duckling." Leia gripped her Mommy's finger. "You can hold my finger, sweetie. I am sitting next to you and your big sister."
"Hope, you are right, safety is important, little love. "
"Ashley taught in pweschool, Dada."
Killian and Emma smile at Hope. "Ashley is teaching you about safety in preschool?"
"Yes, Mommy."
"Safety is important, little love."
"Yes, safety protects danger."
"That is right, Hope." Emma side hugs her daughter and kisses her on the head.
By the time, Henry arrived at the pumpkin patch, Leia was fast asleep. "I see pumpkins!"
"We are the pumpkin patch, little sis." Henry opened the door for his sister. Emma puts on the carrier on herself and places her sleeping daughter into the carrier. Killian made sure Leia was strapped incorrectly.
They walk to the pump fields seeing pumpkins everywhere. Hope tugs her daddy's hook. "Dada, pumpkins, ova dere."
"Let's get the biggest one!"
"Yes!" Killian followed Hope.
"Killian, not too big, we need to fit in the car with our luggage!" Henry chuckles. "I want to make sure we fit everything back in our car. We had to bring the travel crib with us for Leia to sleep in. That takes up space."
"That is true. How is having Hope and Leia at home? Is it easier now?"
"Yes, we just make sure Hope is included whatever we do with Leia, and we tell her we love her and have our one on one time with her. The car ride here was good, they were both happy I was in the back with them."
"You are the best Mom. They love you. I love you."
Emma hugs her son and smiles. "I am happy to be here in Boston with you, kid." Leia coos.
"We are squeezing you, baby sis." He kisses her on the head. "Sorry. I love you, baby sis."
Killian was helping Hope pick pumpkins, at the same time making sure Hope does not fall climbing on the big pumpkins. "My little pirate is being the little explorer."
"Yes, I am! Dada!" She reaches out for his hand which he takes. "Explore!"
"Aye, little pirate, we are going to explore!" He holds Hope on his shoulders and walked around the pumpkins.
"Leia, look at all of the orange pumpkins, sweetie. We Are going to pick some to bring home." She kisses Leia on the head.
"Baby sis, I am going to make sure Mommy and Hope get you a good pumpkin for your first Halloween." He faces his Mom. "What is Hope and Leia going to be for Halloween?"
"Hope wants to be Tinkerbell for Halloween."
"Does she think she will fly with her wings?"
"I think so. Leia is going to be a cute ladybug."
"Was it Hope's idea to be Tinkerbell?"
"Yes,I think she wanted to be Tinkerbell so your Dad can be in his pirate outfit on Halloween."
Henry chuckles. "I am not surprised, he likes wearing normal clothes at home."
"He does but I know your Dad loves his leather jacket." Leia coos. "Yes, you love daddy's leather jacket."
"I think Leia likes looking at the pumpkins."
She smiles seeing her littlest pirate princess looking around. "I think you are right, kid. Leia, which pumpkin should we bring home?"
Emma and Henry catch up with Hope and Killian, who was trying to climb on a big pumpkin. "Little duckling, are you climbing pumpkins?"
"Twying get to da top!" Hope jumps up and down and keeps sliding down.
Emma chuckles at her daughter, she was adventurous like her Daddy. "Hope, I need your help to find the right pumpkin for Leia."
"I help! Dada, help me climb up." Killian helps Hope stand up on the pumpkin. Henry takes a picture of his dad and sister. "Potty, Dada."
"Aye, a potty break." He takes Hope to a portable potty, and opens the door,she would not go in. "You can go inside little love."
Emma can tell Hope was giving Killian a hard time. "Kid looks like your Dad needs my help with Hope."
"I can hold Leia." He takes his baby sister from their Mom. "Hi, Leia." Emma goes to Killian and Hope. Henry sets Leia on stacks of hay with a few pumpkins next to her. He takes pictures of his baby sister, her first pumpkin patch visit of many. "Good job, baby sis."
Emma finds Hope hiding behind Killian. "Hope, why are you hiding behind Daddy?"
"Do not like potty. Scawy."
"She wants to go potty in the woods."
Emma faces Hope, who as afraid of the dirty portable potty. "We can potty in the woods sweetie." Emma held Hope's hand and took her daughter to the trees. Killian helps block his little love from going potty behind the trees. Emma cleared her daughter up. "Feel better?"
"Yes." Hope hugs her Mommy.
Emma holds Hope, they return to Henry and Leia. Henry was giving Leia a photoshoot. "Henry, you are taking pictures of Leia with your camera?"
"Yes, I am. I figured I took photos of Leia while she is awake."
"How about I take photos of my three ducklings together?"
"Yes!" Henry and Hope sit next to Leia as their Mom takes pictures of them. She sets a time on the camera so the whole family can do family photos.
After, the family went around to look for pumpkins to bring home. Leia was fussing in her carrier. "Leia, are you hungry?" Emma sat on the haystack, and bottle fed her daughter her milk. "You are happy that you have your milk, baby girl." She kisses Leia on the head. Hope goes to her Mommy carrying a small pumpkin. "Hope, you found another pumpkin?"
"Dis is Daddy's." Hope points at the big one that her Daddy was carrying. "Dat is mine." Emma was impressed. "Hope, you are carrying Leia's pumpkin."
"You did not say dat." Emma giggles, her daughter was being bossy to her husband. After they finished pumpkin picking, Killian drove his family back to the city. Emma and the girls were fast asleep on the ride as Henry was talking to his Dad.
The next morning, Henry was giving his family a tour of his college campus. Emma had the double stroller, Hope sat on the bottom, and Leia was sitting in her carseat connected. "How is having a double stroller?"
"It is easy to use but tiring."
"Aye, that is why you have me, swan to help you push the lasses in the stroller."
Henry showed his family where they have class lectures and the art studios where they have classes. Hope was looking at paintings that weren't her brother's and wanted to hold it. Henry stopped her by taking the canvas painting away. "Hope, this is not mine." He puts it away and holds his sister.
"Hope, you cannot touch another person's artwork, little love."
"Henwy art."
"I will show you my art, little sis." He shows his drawings to his family, which he is currently working on.
Leia began wailing in her car seat. "Kid, where is the nearest bathroom? I need to change your sister." Henry lead his Mom and baby sis to the bathroom. Emma takes Leia inside and finds a changing table. She puts the mat on the table and buckled Leia in. "Mommy is going to change you now, sweetie." She changes Leia's diaper, she makes poop again. Emma gets another clean diaper and cleans her off. She gets Leia all clean and changed. "You are all clean, baby duckling."
Killian stayed with Hope looking around the studio. "This is Henry's classroom, like your preschool room."
"Dere are no toys, Dada."
Killian chuckles. "You are right, Hope. There are no toys here. We can go find Henry and ask him.'" They go find Henry who was outside in the hallway by the bathroom.
"Henwy!" Henry scooped Hope into his arms. "Why dere are no toys in your classwoom?"
Henry chuckles. "There are no toys because we only paint."
"No toys, no fun." Henry and Killian both laugh.
"You are right, Hope." Emma and Leia returned. "Mom, I've been thinking since the tour is over. We can go to the aquarium."
"Yay see Pepper!!" Hope jumped up and down in excitement.
"Leia, you get to see fishies."
"You meet Pepper, baby sis!" Leia coos.
Killian drove his family to the New England aquarium. He helped his swan with the stroller. "Thank you."
"You are welcome, swan."
"I am still getting used to this double stroller."
"Aye, we are still getting use to it." They smiled at each other and got the stroller set up and the diaper bag on the bottom.
Henry takes Leia out of her car seat. "Leia, we are going to see the fishies, whales, and a lot of sea animals today." She moves her arms. "You are excited!" He kisses Leia on the head. He places Leia in her stroller. Hope goes to her spot in the stroller.
"Swan, I got the stroller." The family entered the aquarium, Emma bought the tickets to enter. Leia was staring at her Daddy. "I see you Lea, littlest pirate." Hope was walking around with Henry. Killian was smiling at his daughter. "You are so cute, Leia!" He gently tickles her and continues to coo. "Yes, you are the littlest pirate of the Jolly Roger. You are..." Leia was cooing and moving her arms.
Emma smiles seeing her husband cooing to their daughter which she loves. She takes a picture of them on her iPhone. "Killian, I have the tickets."
He looks up at his swan. "We should go to the fish section first."
"Yes. I have a feeling we will have a hard time getting Hope to leave Pepper."
"Aye, we get to see the fishies, littlest love." He pushes the stroller following Henry and Hope. Emma walks next to her husband. "I have a feeling Leia will love the fishes. Just like her big sister."
"Aye, no sharks for the little loves." Leia was still looking at her Daddy.
"Killian, Leia loves looking at you. She loves her Daddy."
Killian smiles. "I love my littlest pirate princess."
Henry carried Hope over his shoulders to their parents. "Mommy, Henwy strong."
"Yes, he is. He is giving you a piggyback ride?"
"Yes!"
They arrived at the huge glass tank full of colorful fishes, blue, red, green, yellow, and orange fishes swimming around. Killian takes Leia out of her stroller and showed her the fishes. "Look, Leia. They are very colorful fishes that swim in the ocean." Henry takes pictures of his dad and baby sister with his camera. Leia was cooing. "Aye, you like the fishies. They are very pretty, Leia. They are swimming in the ocean water in the tank. Ocean water is the same on the beach and in the tank for the fishies." He kisses Leia on the head.
Emma sees Hope trying to get to the glass. "Whoa! Little duckling." She scooped Hope up. "Where did you think you are doing?" She tickles her daughter, making her laugh. "My little pirate princess."
"Seeing fishes."
"Uh-huh. You look like you want to climb in?"
"No. Just a closer look."
"I can hold you, so you can get a closer look." She steps closer to the glass so Hope can look.
"Pwetty."
"They are pretty fishes. Which one is your favorite color fish?"
"Wed and blue."
"You have two favorite colors!" Hope giggles. "I like the red ones too." Henry takes pictures of his Mom and little sister. "Henry, which color fish is your favorite?"
"I like the green ones."
"Leia and I like the green ones too." Leia coos.
"Dad, it is my turn to hold Leia." He held his baby sister in his arms. "Leia, you like the fishes?" Leia began crying and makes poop. "Leia."
"Eww!" Killian takes Hope from his swan.
"Hope, Leia needs a diaper change, little love."
Emma takes Leia from her son. "You are going to be changed, baby duckling." They went to the nearest restroom.
Killian was tickling Hope waiting for his swan and littlest pirate. He gets a call from Emma. "Emma?"
"I need your help in the bathroom." Leia was wailing in the background.
"I am on my way in." Killian ends the phone conversation. "Lad, your Mom needs my help." Henry takes Hope. He enters the bathroom, seeing Leia crying. "Emma."
"Leia is very upset. I am having a hard time changing her diaper."
"Aye, I can help. Leia." Leia looks at her Daddy. He gives his hook to let her grip. "There there, little love. Dada is here. Mommy is just changing your diaper." Emma smiles that her husband can calm down their daughter. They return back to Henry and Hope. Emma gives her daughter her pacifier. "Swan, I got our littlest love."
"What exhibit should we see next?"
"Penguins!"
"Yes, Henwy, penguins!" They went to the penguins' exhibit. Henry pushed the stroller so his Mom can walk with Hope as his dad held his baby sister. Hope was in awe looking at the penguins swimming in the water around winter hills of snow. "Mommy, penguins."
"Yes, they are swimming in their cold pool."
"Littlest love, these are penguins. They are birds that do not fly."
Henry took pictures of the penguins. "Mom, this reminds me of the movie Happy Feet."
Emma smiles remembering the movie."Yes, I love Happy Feet!"
"Swan, what is Happy Feet?"
"It is a movie about dancing and singing penguins."
"It sounds like a movie night idea."
Emma chuckles. "Yes, it is very age-appropriate for our two daughters." She takes photos of her children by the penguins, with Killian holding Leia. They went to other rooms to see other mammals such as octopuses, whales, jellyfish, sea dragons, and seahorses exhibits.
The final stop was to see Pepper at the sea lion exhibit. "We are going to see Pepper!!" Hope was skipping ahead. Henry was leading his family but catching up to his sister. Emma chuckles. The family enters the sea lions exhibit, to where sea lions were swimming in a large pool. Henry holds up his sister so she can find Pepper. "PEPPER!! Where are you?!" Pepper was swimming in the water when he hears Hope. He swims toward Hope. "Bark!
"Pepper!!" He licks Hope's face, making her laugh.
"Hi, Pepper. Are you happy to see my sister?" The sea lion barks. Henry smiles, "I will take that as a yes." Hope hugs her sea lion best friend. Emma takes a picture of Hope reunited with her sea lion friend.
"Look littlest love, your big sister is with her sea lion friend Pepper." He shows his littlest pirate princess the sea lion. Leia coos.
"Pepper, dis is my baby sister Leia." Pepper sniffs Leia, who was looking at the sea lion.
Emma takes a photo of Leia meeting Pepper. "Leia, you are meeting Pepper, baby girl." Leia began crying.
Killian gives Leia to his swan who puts her on her chest, Leia stops crying. She just wanted to snuggle with her Mommy. He pets the sea lion. "Hi, Pepper!" The Sealion barks.
"Dada, Pepper is da best!!" Hope hugs him.
"Lad, I can hold Hope." He holds Hope so Henry can pet the sea lion. Hope kisses Pepper and talks to her friend. Henry takes a video of his sister talking to her friend on his iPhone. Emma was holding Leia.
After the aquarium, the family went to Mei-Mei, Emma and Killian wanted to experience Asian Fusion like their children had. The family sat in a booth, Emma was holding sleeping Leia, sitting in between Killian and Hope. They were looking at the menu. "Henwy, edamame, and kimchi dumplings."
Henry smiles. "Yes, Mommy and Daddy need to try everything."
"Swan, we need to get seaweed."
Emma smiles. "I need to try seaweed."
"Dad, you need to try sushi."
"Raw fish wrapped with seaweed and rice? That sounds good."
"Killian, you will like it. I do like some of the sushi."
"Sushi is good, Mommy."
Emma gave her daughter a look."You tried sushi, Hope?"
"No, the wice and seaweed. henwy said no to fish." Emma chuckles. They ordered dumplings, filled with kimchi, ground beef, different types of sushi, tempura, miso soup, and edamame. Emma, Killian, and Henry had a little of everything. Hope had part of sushi mins the raw fish, different dumplings, seaweed, and edamame. "Kimchi!"
"Hope, is your kimchi dumplings are yummy?"
"Yes, Mommy. You can twy."
"I have my own, sweetie."
"Dad, you know we can make sushi at home."
Killian holds Leia in his arms so his swan can eat. "Oh really? We need to make it at home."
"We need to. It will be fun."
The family returned to Emma's apartment building. Killian puts Hope down to bed while Emma snuggling with Leia and Henry next to her on the couch. They were drinking their favorite drink, cinnamon hot cocoa. "Leia is fast asleep."
"She had a busy day touring around Boston."
"I have a feeling she enjoys Boston just like the rest of us."
"Yes, she does. I can see why Hope wants Asian Fusion in Storybrooke."
"Yes, it is so good. She wants to have Asian Fusion more often."
"I have a feeling your Dada wants the Asian cuisine too at Storybrooke. How was the Green Day concert last weekend?"
"It was so much fun!" Henry shows his selfies of him with Ava at the concert and videos of them singing along with the band. "When I gave her the envelope with the tickets, she screamed with joy that we were going to Green Day." Emma smiles her son tells her about his anniversary celebration with Ava, showing videos of the concert that he filmed on his iPhone 11. "Green Day music is awesome."
"I love their music. They are still popular."
"Yes, they are!" Emma laughs. "I am happy that you, Dad, Hope, and Leia are here for family weekend."
"We are happy to be here, kid. I do miss Boston at times. You are living in Boston now, which gives me an excuse to visit the city more often."
"This time, you have me, Hope, Leia and Dad with you in Boston."
"That is right, being back in this apartment, 8 years later is so different when you found me."
Hope enters the room. "Mommy."
"Hi, sweetie." Hope climbed to the couch hugs her. "You can join our hug."
Henry hugs his Mom and his sisters. "You are not alone, Mom. You have us."
"Yes, I do." She hugs all three of her children smiling.
Killian takes a picture of his family. "My swan is with her ducklings."
"Yes, I am, captain." They kiss. Henry was happy that his family was visiting him for the weekend.
