Autumn Traditions

After they returned home from New York, Henry stayed home from school to recover from his major surgery. Emma wanted to make sure her son was strong enough to go to school but he needed his rest and still on pain medicine. She has been staying home with Henry and Hope while Killian went to work. Allison would visit every day to check up on her nephew. Regina also has been visiting Henry every day. Regina did not say too much to Emma since their talk on facetime on mothering Henry,she knows Emma was in mama bear mode and taking care of their son while they were away. She was afraid if she said the wrong thing to her she would not be allowed to see her son.Emma was cooking french toast for breakfast and watched Henry and Hope playing in the living room, Henry was resting on the couch, Hope was walking around babbling and giving toys to Henry to hold. "Thank you, Hope. I will hold it." Hope babbled. "You want me to play with your toys?" Hope screamed. "Hope, I will play with your toy if you play with me." Hope clapped her hands. He joins Hope on the carpet. Henry built a house with Hope's blocks which she knocked down. "Hope, you knocked the house down." Hope babbled tackles her brother, Henry lifts Hope up. "Hope, don't hurt your brother." Emma enters the room."She is not hurting me." Emma takes Hope from her son. "You are still in recovery. Hope, you need to be soft and gentle with Henry. You can be rough when Henry is not in recovery." Hope babbled. "I know you are just playing with Henry." "Henwy.""Be gentle to Henry, sweetie." She puts Hope back down who hugs her brother. "You give the best hugs, Hope."Emma smiles."That is being gentle, little duckling." Hope gave Henry kisses on his head. Emma finishes cooking breakfast. "Henry, Hope time for breakfast." Henry stopped playing with Hope, "Hope, we can play later. Time for breakfast." Hope grabbed Henry's hand. "We can walk together." Henry set the table, french toast was on the table with mixed berries, Emma puts Hope in her high chair. She puts cut up french toast with a little bit of syrup and berries onto Hope's high chair table. Hope babbled. "Yes, baby girl breakfast." "Mom, you made french toast?""Yes, I wanted to try something new. How are you feeling?""I am in less pain but better than before our flight to New York.""Since you are in recovery. Your Dad and I were thinking that we can go on a day trip to a pumpkin patch and bring home pumpkins for Halloween.""Mom, we can do that. When can we go?"Emma smiles. "Your Dad and I were thinking we can go to the pumpkin patch after my birthday." Hope babbled. "Yes, Hope. We are going to go to a pumpkin patch. We will play in hay, corn and go on a hayride and bring pumpkins home so we can carve them. Won't that be fun?" Hope screamed. "Mom, that is a yes from Hope. What is Hope going to dress up for Halloween?""Your Dad and I have an idea for Halloween costume idea.""I remember last year, Hope was a little duckling." Hope babbled and eats blueberries. "Yes, Hope you are still Mom's little duckling.""Let's just say your Dad and I have a family theme.""Mom...""I know you are too old to dress up.""Yes, but I can teach Hope how to trick or treating since it will be her first time getting candy.""You can teach her how to trick or treat." After breakfast, Henry went upstairs to do his homework since he was missing class. Emma played with Hope in the living room singing songs, dancing and playing with toys. When Hope wanted to snuggle, Emma would turn on Barney and they would watch Barney together until Hope fell asleep on her. She gave Hope kisses on the head and takes Hope to her room and tucked Hope in her crib. She checks on Henry, who was doing art and hiding his project. "Kid, I thought you were doing homework?" "Mom, I am just doing art." She joined Henry on the bed. "What are you working on?" "I am just starting on a new drawing." Henry hugs his Mom. She kisses him on the head. "Did you have fun in comic con?""Yes, it was the best comic con! It was so much fun. Thank you for letting me go even though I was in recovery.""It was your birthday trip after all. I know you were going to be devastated if you could not go. I would have not let you go if your surgery was more serious but we had the wheelchair." "I really had fun. Can we go next year?" Emma pretends to think about it. "Mom."Emma chuckles. "We are going next year.""Can this be our family tradition to go to New York Comic-Con? A Swan-Jones family tradition." Emma smiles and hugs her son. "Yes, Henry. Our Swan-Jones family tradition." Hope wakes you from her nap crying. "Your sister is awake. After you do your art, do your homework.""Yes, Mom." Emma leaves her son's room to head to her daughter's room, Hope was standing up crying and reaching her arms out, "Mommy!""Mommy is here." She takes Hope from her crib and holds her on her hip. "Hope, you can help me cook lunch." Hope gripped onto her Mommy. "You can stay with me, baby girl." She brings Hope downstairs, and struggle to cook lunch and hold Hope who just continued to cry. Killian arrived home hearing his little lass crying and sees his wife tired. "Emma.""Killian, Hope has not stopped crying since she woke up from her nap.""I wanted to come home to see how my family is. I can cook love. Hope wants your full attention." Emma sat down with Hope who was non stop crying. "Little love, why are you so upset? You have your Mommy holding you." Hope holds her Daddy's hook. "Little love, you want your Daddy?" He takes Hope from his wife and holds his little lass and hugs him."You just wanted your Daddy, Hope." She kisses Hope on the cheek and continues to cook lunch. Killian tickles Hope and told her a pirate tale which she loved. "Love, I will get Henry." Hope babbled. "You are coming with me, little love." They go up to Henry's room. "Henwy." He sets Hope on the floor and let her walk to her brother. "Hope, I am working on our art project for Mommy's birthday." Hope babbled. "Yes, Hope. You can help me make Mommy's birthday gift. It is going to be from both of us." Hope began to cry. "Hope, why are you crying?""She has been crying nonstop." Killian takes Hope. "We are going to have lunch, little love." He kisses Hope on the head. They go downstairs, Emma set up lunch on the table. "Killian..""Hope started crying again when we were with Henry." Emma takes Hope from Killian. "Hope, why are you so upset?" Hope dug her face into her Mommy's chest. "Mommy.""You are with Mommy baby girl." She kisses Hope on the head and rubs her back. "We can snuggle together. Mommy and Hope time." She takes Hope to her bedroom and sat on the rocking chair. Killian enters the room. "Hope, Daddy has your big Pluto." Hope just cried more."Killian, Hope will want her Pluto later, she just wants her Mommy." She kisses Hope on the head and rocked her daughter. "Mommy.""Yes, baby girl? You want to snuggle and talk to me?" Hope hugged her Mommy. "We can snuggle, just you and me. Do you want me to read "The Ugly Duckling?" Hope fusses. "No storytime. Do you just want to talk? How about we go for a walk? We do need fresh air." She changes Hope into her Ariel shirt with her red leather jacket on and placed Hope in her carrier after she put on her red jacket. "We are going for a walk, baby girl." Hope hugged her Mommy. "You are staying with me baby girl." Killian sees his two loves in their matching jackets. "Little love, are you matching with your Mommy?" Hope babbled. "Aye, I do love my two lasses's in red leather." Emma chuckles. "I am going to take Hope for a walk. Hope and I need fresh air. Right Hope?" Hope hugs her Mommy. "She just wants to be with me, extra clingy. I do not know why.""She probably just wants to spend time with her Mommy. If you need anything call me.""I will. Hope, say bye-bye to Daddy." Hope waves her hand. "Bye, little love. Have fun with your Mommy." He gave Hope a big kiss on her cheek. Henry approaches them, "Little sis, how about you and I can have art time later? Just you and me?" "Henwy." "Yes after your walk with our Mommy we can do an art project together." "Henwy.""See you later, Hope." He gave Hope a big kiss on her cheek, Emma walks with Hope out the door. "Lad, what are you up to?""I am starting to work on Mom's birthday gift. I want Hope to help me.""I know whatever you and Hope make for your Mom she will love it.""Do you want to see what I am working on?""Sure." They go upstairs, Henry shows the layout of his art project. Emma walks to her special spot, knowing this place will calm down her little girl. Hope babbled. "Yes, baby girl. We are by the ocean at our special spot." Hope hugs her Mommy. "I love our special spot too, my little duckling.""Mommy....tay...""I am not going anywhere, Hope. I know you just want to be with me and have our girl time right?" Hope continues to hug her Mommy. She gave Hope kisses on her head. "Hope, you want to get ice cream in town? We can get a treat." Hope babbled. "Mommy and Hopey afternoon with a special treat." Hope smiles. Emma walked into town, most of the shops were decorated for Halloween with pumpkins, scarecrows, goblins, and ghosts. "Look, Hope, that is a pumpkin. Can you say pumpkin?" Hope babbled. "Can you say scarecrow." Hope babbled. Emma smiles. "Good girl. Let's get some ice cream." Emma ordered an ice cone with chocolate ice cream. She spoon-fed Hope ice cream who was sitting on the table. Hope grabs the cone and eats ice cream, which Emma took pictures of Hope being so cute eating ice cream. "You are so cute, Hope." Hope smiles. "Can Mommy have some chocolate ice cream?" Hope babbled. "Thank you." She takes the cone from Hope and ate her ice cream, sharing ice cream with Hope. She cleans up Hope's face. "You are all clean, Hope." Emma sets Hope down and they continue their walk into town. She loves walking with her daughter, her mini-me. Hope babbled all of the town people said hi to Hope and Emma. Snow White was in her car waiting for Charming in across of Granny's she saw her daughter and her granddaughter in their matching red leather jackets and walking together. Something she always dreamt of mother moment with Emma which did not happen. She wants to be in her daughter's life and her birthday was coming up but her daughter does not trust her. Charming exits Granny's with a to-go bag, "Hi, Emma. Hi, Hope.""Hi, Dad. Hope, Grandpa is here." Hope hugs her Mommy's leg. Charming leans down to Hope. "Hi, Hope. Are you having fun walk with Mommy?" Hope hugs her Mommy's leg."Hope and I are having Mommy and Hope time. We just to ice cream and we are going to walk around more." "Up!" Emma holds Hope on her hip. "How is Henry?""He is still in pain from his appendix taken out but he is getting better. I do not want him to back in school just yet since he is still in pain. Hope hugs her Mommy. "Do you know what you are doing for your birthday?""I am not sure yet." Hope fusses. Emma set Hope on the ground, Hope walked around. Charming smiles down at Hope. "Emna, Hope is getting so big." Emma smiles. "Yes, Hope is my mini-me. She is growing up too fast but she still loves snuggling with me. She is still afraid to sleep in her crib alone at night, I sleep with her or I bring her in our room." Hope tries to climb onto the chair. "Sweetie. You want to sit down on the chair?" She puts Hope onto the chair. Charming kneels to his granddaughter. "Hi, Hope." Hope babbled. "Are you wearing matching red jackets like your Mommy?""Mommy."Charming smiles. "I like your Ariel shirt." Hope screamed. "Dad, Hope is saying Ariel is the best Disney princess." Hope babbled and reaches out to her Mommy. Emma gets her daughter, "Hope, did you tell Grandpa how the voice of Ariel sang her song to us when we met her?" Hope babbled. Charming smiles. "Oh really? That really happened?""Yes, Dad. The voice of Ariel sung to Hope and me.""Was she shy around the voice of Ariel?""Not at all she gave her a hug as soon as we approached her and she was so happy." "Hope, I am so happy you had a great experience meeting the little mermaid." Hope babbled. He kisses Hope on the cheek. Hope smiles. Leo sees Hope getting all of his Dad's attention. "Leave him alone!" Leo came running across the street from the car. Hope was crying, Emma holds onto Hope. "Leave me Daddy alone Hope!!" Charming picks up his son. "Leo do not be mad at Hope. You cannot be mean to your niece.""Leo, you and I have the same Dad. Dad is Hope's grandpa." Hope just continued to cry. Leo jumps to attack Hope. Emma used her magic to tie a rope around her younger brother. "Do not hurt my daughter!" Snow White comes out of the car. "Emma, why did you tie up your brother?""Because he was jealous of Hope's attention from Dad and he was about to attack my daughter.""Mommy!""Hope, he is not going to hurt you, baby girl."Snow White shook her head, "He would not...""Snow, I saw the whole thing. "You should have stopped him when he was running here from the car you were watching him. He was going to hurt Hope Mom. I do not want my daughter to be seriously injured again.""Untie your brother up now.""No! He is going to hurt my daughter if he is not tied up. I am not untying him so he can hurt my daughter. She has been through enough because of him. When are you going to see that?!""He won't hurt her.""Yes, he will!! This is why I do not trust you Mom or want you to be around my children." Hope was shaking. "Hope, we are going home baby girl." "Emma..""Dad, I will see you when I return to the station." Emma leaves her parents to deal with her little brother. Killian and Henry worked on the art project until they heard Hope crying which meant the lasses were home. Killian goes downstairs seeing Hope gripping Emma and crying. "Little love, what happened?""Three words, Leo and Mom." Killian hugs his wife and daughter. "Little love, you are home with Daddy." He gave Hope kisses on her cheek. Hope grabbed her Daddy's hook. "You want to be with Daddy?" He takes Hope from his wife. He hugs his wife. "Love..." "My mom and brother are out of my life." Emma went to her room and cried. "Hope, you are safe and home, little love. Dada is here. Daddy, Mommy, and Henry love you so much." Hope hugs her Daddy. Henry came downstairs, "What is going on Dad?" Hope." He kisses Hope on the cheek."I have a feeling while they were in town they bumped into your grandmother and little uncle. Your Mom did not say much. I did not ask but by the look on her face, it was bad." Hope cried more. "Hope, you are home, little sis. Hope, do you want to see what Daddy and I worked on with Mommy's birthday present?" Hope stopped crying. They went up to Henry's room, Hope sat on her Daddy's lap as Henry showed Hope their birthday gift, "What do you think Hope? You want to add to our gift?" Hope babbled. "We can do art, little sis." Henry set up the paints and let sit on his lap. Hope was finger painting. "Son, I am going to check on your Mom.""Dad, Mom needs you. Hope is going to be with me." Hope babbled. Killian went to his room, his wife was crying in their bed. Henry and Hope were listening in the hall, Hope walked away from Henry's room as soon as their Dad left and Henry stopped her. "Mommy.""I want to listen too, Hope. We have to stay out here and be quiet so we can hear what Mommy is going to say.." Henry let Hope sat on his lap.Killian lies down next and puts his hands on her shoulder letting know that he was there for her. Emma turns around hugs her husband. He hugs her. "I am right here, Emma." She just continued to cry in her husband's chest knowing he is there for her. "You are with me, Emma. You are loved by me, and our two children who love you. We all love you, you are not alone, Emma." Emma sat up, "We were in town, we saw my Dad. We were talking, and my Dad was talking to Hope who I was holding the entire time. When my Dad was talking to Hope and giving her kisses, Leo comes from their car from across the street yelling a Hope screaming and trying to attack Hope. I used my magic to time him up...then my Mom came out telling me to untie him but Dad and I told her that he was going to attack Hope...Mom and I screamed at each other. My Dad...he is always on my side..but with my Mom...no... besides my Dad, only you, Hope, Henry, and Allison and her family..." Killian held his wife's hands. " With my Mom...I never had a Mom...when I met her I could not see her as my Mom we are the same age..." She cried into him. "That is not your fault, Emma. It was the bloody awful curse that separated you from your parents.""When my mom gave me the pink flower of hope to rescue you from Neverland...she told me that her and my Dad woke up when I was ten years old...they used that magic to see me in a girls home...they could have just taken me away...and raised me...but my mom decided not too...""Your mother knew that you were going to give everyone their happy endings but she thought of everyone else but you love, you were lonely and had awful childhood and were homeless. You met that ass Neal who used you and took advantage of you so he won't face his father, a coward. Henry and Hope enter the room, Hope goes to her, "Mommy...up!" Emma gets Hope from the floor and puts her on her lap. Hope hugs her Mommy. "You know when I need your hugs.""Mom, Hope wanted to come in here to cheer you up. Also, we were listening in.." Killian gave his son a look. "Dad, as soon as you left my room, Hope wanted to listen in not me... we listened in until Hope opened the door and entered.""Henry, Hope can open doors now?""Yes." Hope babbled. "I know Hope, you wanted to be with Mommy, little sis. She was very upset." Hope hugs her Mommy. "Henry, come here." Henry joins their hug. "I love you two so much. Killian joined their hug and kisses his wife on the head. "Killian, I told them about the pumpkin patch...""Mom, can we go tomorrow?""Love, I can take off work tomorrow." "A family day can cheer me up. We can go tomorrow.""Yes!""Hope, we are going to pick pumpkins tomorrow. Are you excited?" Hope clapped her hands. "We are all very excited Hope." The next morning, Killian made breakfast for the family, he had his little chef helping him with mixing the eggs. "You are getting better mixing the eggs little love." Hope babbled. "My little pirate." He gave Hope kisses on her head. Emma comes downstairs all dressed in dark blue jeans, a long white sweater with her red jacket and her knee-high brown boots. She took pictures of Hope cooking with her Daddy on her iPhone. "Something smells delicious.""Good morning, swan. Our little love is helping me cook breakfast." Hope screamed loudly. Emma chuckles. "Hope, are you excited to go to the pumpkin patch?" Hope babbled and reaches out for her Mommy. Emma holds her daughter as Killian finished cooking breakfast. Henry joined his family downstairs. "Mom, after breakfast are we going to the pumpkin patch?""Yes, Henry. We need to eat breakfast first." Hope babbled. "Yes, Hope. You are eating your scrambled eggs." After everyone ate, Emma changes Hope into jeans, a long sleeve sweater, her red leather jacket, and a cute maroon bow headband also her pacifier clipped onto her long sleeve shirt. Killian was dressed in a long-sleeve shirt, a flannel jacket, and jeans and found his little love walking around in the hallway."'Hope. Where is Mommy?" Hope babbled. "She is getting your diaper bag packed?" Hope babbled and Killian holds his little lass. Emma gets a phone call from the Blue Fairy. "Hi, Blue.""Hi, Emma. There is a prisoner that wants to talk to you...about her accommodations...she wants to talk to you...""Which prison is she at?""The old prison but she is at the Storybrooke hospital.""I am on my way." "Who was that love?""The Blue Fairy called me...a prison wants to talk to me about her accommodations...she is at the hospital.""Love, I can go with you.""Mom, I can watch Hope. We can go to the pumpkin patch after work, right?""Yes, kid. That is our plan." She hugs her son. "Hope, listen to Henry. Mommy and Daddy will be back soon." Hope began to cry."Mommy..." "Mom, where are you going to work?""To visit a prisoner who is at the hospital...""Can we come? After work, we can go straight to the pumpkin patch." Emma looks at her husband. If the prisoner is bad, Henry, you can take Hope to the playroom, I do not want you two to be near a prison got that?""Yes, Mom." Emma drove her family to Storybrooke Hospital. The Blue Fairy was at the entrance. "Blue, what is the prisoner doing here?""She just had a baby. She wants to keep her baby in prison." Emma had a few flashbacks of having Henry in prison, Killian held his wife's hand. "Blue, I will talk to her." "Love, I will stay nearby.""Thanks, I need my deputy on my side." They hold hand and hook. They see a woman in the hospital room, "Henry, stay out here with Hope.""Yes, Mom." Hope began to cry. "Mommy has to be sheriff for a little while. I am just going to talk to the lady inside the room." She kisses Hope on the cheek and enters the room with her husband seeing a young woman with red hair. "Hi, my name is Emma, I am the sheriff.""Yes, I know of you, savior. My name is Annie. I need your help." The woman was in tears. "I know you made the town safer and better accommodations for us villains." "Yes, that is a part of my job." They heard a baby cry. Annie was chained to her bed. Emma unlocked the handcuff. Annie gets her daughter and holds her tighter in her arms. "You are with Mommy." The baby settles down in her mother's arms. "This is my daughter Rose. I want to raise her. I know I am a prisoner, I love her..I do not want to be away from her..." Emma sat next to the new mother. "Annie, I need to know what was your crime? So I can help you and your daughter. ""I stole in town and around the woods for money or for food? I came from The Land of Untold Stories. My boyfriend and I stole in town here and lived in the woods. I want to raise my daughter...her Dad and I stole and he does not even know about her...we got separated when we got arrested.""When did you found out you were pregnant?""After we were both arrested by Mulan and Lily. I do not want him to know about Rose...""I will not tell him that is your choice.""I want to keep her..is there any way that I can keep her? All throughout my pregnancy, I have been listening to the guards. I have not been causing any trouble. I have been focusing on my baby...to keep her healthy." She needs support from somebody which can make a huge difference in her life.
