You and Eren were both cleaning a room when he pranced in, and instantaneously, you both saluted him.

"(Y/n), great job on cleaning your assigned room upstairs. I'm impressed. Keep that up," Levi praises you, ruffling your hair.

You bit your lip, trying to prevent the warmth rushing to your cheeks from the Captain's new praise item for you. He had been seemingly getting a tad closer to you everyday. It was... Odd.

From the corner of your eye, you could see Eren's hand clench the broom tighter.

"As for you, Eren," Levi sighed, placing his head in his hand. "You'll have to clean your room ten times over. It was such a mess. Better get on it soldier."

Levi leaned closer to Eren's head, and he chillingly whispers, with an unnatural smile played across his lips, "If it's not spotless by supper time, then consider yourself without it."

Levi steps back, his smug stoic expression once again taken over his face.

"Now get a move on soldiers!" He suddenly yelled.

"Y-yes sir!" You and Eren responded and rushed off to your other duties.

Once you were out of earshot of the Captain, Eren grabbed your wrist, pulling you along behind him.

"Eren!" You protested. "Where are you taking me?"

"You're going to help me clean my room."

"But what about Captain Levi? If he sees me off duty, I'll be toast!"

"Will you stop complaining!" Eren exclaims, stopping in front of a room. "Captain Levi loves you! You do his orders rarely without any flaws and when there are flaws, he doesn't go as hard on you! You're practically his pet!"

"Oh please! Like I would ever be that guy's pet!"

"Maybe, just maybe, you're in love with him and vice versa! You're just love blind!"

"You're the one who's love blind Eren! You're too blind to see love right in front of you!" You stormed off, leaving Eren to clean the room himself like ordered.

You kept your head low, suddenly having an interest in the floor.

You bumped shoulders with someone and instantly bowed in apology.

The person turned and put a hand on your shoulder.

"Look up at me, (y/n)," the person instructs and you hesitantly lift your head.

"Petra..."

She sighs. "You love him don't you?"

"Love who?"

"Jaeger, Eren."

"I, um.."

"No need to deny it (y/n). I could just tell."

"O-okay.."

You both just stood there so Petra sends you off to another duty.

"Can I talk to you alone, (y/n)?" Eren asks, just as you were about to leave the dining table.

Levi cuts in, "Make sure to make it's quick! You have a lot of yard work tomorrow!!"

Rolling your eyes, you follow Eren out of the dining hall and down the hall to a random bedroom.

He shuts the door behind you.

"How do I say this.." Eren seemed to be in deep thought.

"Even though you may love someone else," he started.

"But Eren-"

"I-all I wanted to say was that I love you. And if even the shortest, the stupidest or the fattiest of Titans come even within a foot of you, it's neck will be no more. Not only have those bastards taken my mother, your family and plentiful of our comrades, but if I lose you to them, I will personally go stick my blade up their asses. But if they don't have one, I'll make one for them."

"Eren.."

"Yes?"

"Are you just that caught up in getting vengeance for your mother's death in the hands of Titans, that you're too caught up in your revenge scheme that you can't see things in front of you? Like the clear, very clear, fact that someone, someone, wants to be more than 'just friends' with you?!"

"What? Who does?"

You throw your hands up in frustration. He clearly was oblivious.

"Well, I don't know, the person right in front of you!?"

"Okay, you don't know!"

"You're so stupid Eren! It's me I'm talking about! Me!"

You folded your arms and continued, "You might even have the brains of a 5 meter! Maybe that was harsh, but that's what it seems to me! I'm done with you Eren."

You turn to leave but the green eyed teenager grabs your hand.

You turn to him. "What?!" You exasperatingly cry at him.

"Please, just give me a chance!" He begs.

"No. Until you prove to me that you can at least sustain human intelligiance in that head of yours, it's a no from me." You rip your hand from his grip and leave the room, not looking back.
