"Hanami"

It was your first year of high school. You had grown up alongside Syo, and became good friends; and now you barely see him ever since he went to that prestigious music school.

You sat cross legged on your desk chair, focused in homework. Syo sat behind you, on your bed, also doing his homework. It was just about the last week of hanami-ing and you've noticed a few cherry blossoms loosing their blossoms already.

Syo sighs audibly. "Ne," he whines.

You ignore him.

"Ne," he drags out the word.

Once again, you pay no attention to this.

You hear him get up and feel his hands on your shoulders. He quickly swivels your wheeled chair around to face him.

"Hey!" You protest but Syo grins at you.

"Let loose! Forget about homework!"

You crossed your arms. "Unlike you, I want to do good in school."

"Don't we all?" He asks, uncrossing your arms, taking your hands in his.

He pulls you out of your seat.

Releasing one of your hands, he grabs his violin case.

"We have to hurry before it gets too dark!" He exclaims, racing out of your house.

He drags you through rush hour filled sidewalks and eventually you both reach a small, empty park.

You looked up in awe, admiring the cherry blossoms.

"We haven't done this in so long Syo-kun!" You exclaimed, letting go of his hand.

He laughs.

"What?"

"You're so cute when you get excited. But you know what will make you cuter?"

Syo reaches up and takes hold of his hat. He takes it off and puts it on your head.

"Just as I thought, adorable."

Your eyes widen and you take off the hat, holding it out to him.

"Syo-kun! I know you love your hats and they make you look taller, but you should have your hat back."

The blond places a hand over yours, gently pushing it down.

"It's fine, (y/n)-chan. Besides, like I said, you look adorable in it."

You feel the temperature in you cheeks rise and turn away, putting the hat back on.

Syo smiles. He places the violin case down and takes out the wooden instrument.

Placing it in the crook of his neck, he begins to play.

A slow melodic sound emerges and travels through your ears. Ever so slowly, the tune becomes faster and the low notes transitions to higher ones.

Syo closes his eyes, playing with all his heart.

Suddenly, the upbeat tune drastically stops, making way for sadder, slower one. It tugs at your heart strings, as if to make you cry.

The blond's song comes to an end.

Quietly, he puts the violin away and smiles at you.

"Syo-kun...that was a beautiful song!" You exclaim, grinning ear to ear.

He steps closer to you, wrapping his arms around you tightly.

"I though you'd enjoy it. I wrote it for you."

"Thanks Syo-kun," you mumble.

The blond pulls away, taking a good look at your face.

"What was that?" He asks, smirking.

"Thanks Syo-kun," you speak louder this time.

Syo chuckles lightly and gives you a quick peck on your lips.

He takes your hand, intertwining your fingers together, holding it tightly.

"Let's look at the cherry blossoms, okay (y/n)-chan."

The both of you walk down the path as the sunset begins to set in, casting off multiple bright colors.
