"Demigod"

You always go by Mikage's Shrine to pray. Every time you go, there's always a handsome man with white hair tending to the shrine and it's garden.

You had been coming to this shrine everyday since your mother's death when you were younger.

Today, you were the only one to come.

The handsome man glances over at you from his usual duties as the shrine's familiar. He hated himself for falling for a human girl just by sight, but it was also your faithfulness towards the shrine that caused it to happen.

As he was tending to the garden, one of the other shine familiars, Kotetsu, walks up behind him.

"Hey, Tomoe-dono. I've noticed lately that you've taken a good interest in that young girl, haven't you?"

Tomoe glares at him.

"If you love her, just tell her."

"I don't love her!" He yells, making the child-like familiar flee, also startling you.

"Um, excuse me?" You ask.

Tomoe's eyes of rage avert to you, only to soften on sight.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm perfectly fine." Tomoe turns away from you and continues his duties.

"Stupid human girl," he mutters under his breath.

You pray once more and head home.

That same day at Mikage's Shrine, Mikage is getting ready to leave.

"I'll be back, Tomoe! I'm just heading into town!" He calls before leaving his shrine to his fox familiar.

A week later, Mikage still hasn't come back and Tomoe is practically a ticking time bomb of anger.

"The shrine, oh my gosh, what happened?"

Tomoe's ears perk up upon hearing your voice. He watches you go up and pray, but stops you.

"There's no god here."

"Oh, I'm not here for Mikage."

Shock crosses Tomoe's face as he hears the next words, "I'm here for you."

Tomoe sighs.

"Can I come in?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"You're human."

"Excuse me but the correct term for my kind is demigod."

"Fine. You can't come in because, you're a demigod."

Tomoe enters the shrine and slams the door in your face.

Later that night, Kotetsu finds you out there, sleeping outside. He alerts Tomoe who reluctantly brings you in and lays you on a futon.

They wait for your awakening.

Slowly, you open your eyes. You smile.

This is soft.

You turn your head and see the fox familiar sleeping peacefully.

"He's actually pretty handsome when he's asleep," you whisper to yourself.

Entranced, you sit up and move closer to Tomoe, reaching a hand for his face.

Suddenly, a hand grabs your wrist and his eyes shoot open, looking directly into your (e/c) ones.

"Don't touch my face," he growls and you nod.

You feel tears brim your eyes and look down.

Tomoe sits up, still holding your wrist and lift your head.

"Don't cry," he whispers wiping away tears that threatens to spill.

"If you do, your already beautiful face will be ruined. Hopefully this could make you feel better."

Tomoe leans in towards your face.

Kotetsu was shocked. This was the second time for him to have known Tomoe to fall in love with a human girl, but this one was half god, half human.

He watched as Tomoe's lips pressed against yours, your eyes visibly widening.

Slowly, you kissed back and Tomoe lowered your arm.

Tomoe pulls away from you.

"Now, why were you crying?"
