"Present"

"Hey, did you hear that that's the girl who tried to kill herself?"

"Yeah, yeah! I heard that after her parents died, she couldn't handle it anymore!"

You walked through the halls of Iwatobi High School, the girls around you gossiping pretty loudly. "I can hear you!" You snap at them, shutting them up. But those rumors weren't fake. It was true that after your parents died you tried to kill yourself. But it wasn't because you couldn't handle their passing; it was because it had seemed like no one cared about you. Your 'parents' used you for money, and your whole 'family' abandoned you to them. You now live alone, just barely, off the money you had saved.

"Hey, (y/n)-chan! Join the swim club, please?!" You heard that voice call out.

You turn to see Hazuki Nagisa, your long term crush running towards you. You smile at the sight of him.

"Please join the swim club!" The blonde exclaims, handing you a flyer. You take it out of his grateful hand. Nagisa stood tall compared to you, a big smile played on his lips. "If you join," he leans in close to your ear, causing a light blush to appear on your cheeks, "I'll give you a little present." Then he's off trying to get more members to join, leaving you to wonder what the present could possibly be.

You paced back and forth along to edge of the pool, excited but also nervous about what this 'present' was. Ever since Nagisa told you about it, it hasn't not been on your mind. It was driving you crazy, maybe even cray enough to rip out some of your (h/c) locks, which you would never dare to.

"(Y/n)-chan!" Nagisa's voice says next to you. Startled, you flinch and take a step back expecting to feel hard ground, but instead your foot touches the water and it's too late for you to react. You slip and reach out for Nagisa as you fall. He catches your arm, but gets pulled into the water with you.

The two of you quickly climb out and Nagisa offers his towel to you. "No, it's fine. I'll be fine!" You try to reassure him. He shakes his head.

"Anyway, I forgot to give you your prize on joining the swim club!" The blonde exclaims, sitting next to you.

"What is it?" You ask, curiosity seeping through your words.

Nagisa grin at you before leaning over and placing a kiss your your cheek. He quickly stands up over you as a blush played across your face.

"Thanks for joining the swim club, (y/n)-chan!" He turns to head away when you stop him,

"Wait! Weren't you going to do that to any girl that just joins the swim club?!"

Nagisa turns and smiles. "No. Just. To. You," he says before running off to join the other boys in the pool.
