"I Love Thee"

Before he could speak another word, you took off running.

Your mind perfectly set on getting home, to Basil, eating this bento you had bought, being far away from the assassin.

You could hear his footsteps pounding the ground which urged you to run faster.

Isn't he supposed to be some sort of assassin?

Either way, you ran faster.

You spotted your house in the distance and pushed to keep running.

Quickly reaching your destination, you pounded on the door, yelling Basil's name.

He opens the door, looking at you worriedly.

"What's wrong?"

You quickly entered the house, slamming the door behind you.

Basil takes your hand and leads you upstairs into your room.

You both sit on the bed.

"Tell me what's wrong, (y/n)-chan," he sternly says.

"I was coming back when I ran into Belphegor. He brought me into an alley and pushed me against the wall. I don't know what he was going to do..."

Basil wraps his arms around you, bringing you close to him.

"Thou is safe now," he whispers into your ear.

You snuggle closer to him, feeling safe in his arms.

"Can I tell thou something?" He asks.

"If thou were to get hurt," Basil starts, "I don't know what I'll do."

"Oh and also, I love thee." Basil lifts your chin so you both are face to face.

He smiles warmly at you, causing a light pink to dust your cheeks.

He leans in slowly, his lips lightly dusting yours.

He pulls back for a split second but his lips soon return to yours.

You start to kiss back, enjoying the kiss, much to Basil delight. He smiles into the kiss.

You pull back from the kiss.

"I love you too, Basil."
