Tonight was Zoe's birthday party. I had to get ready now. I glanced down at my pajamas and sighed. I stumbled over to my closet to sift through until I found something acceptable. Dan hadn't contacted me since the whole punch incident. My hand went up to my cheek instinctively and I winced. I glanced in the mirror to see a purple bruise on my cheek bone. Luckily I don't bruise too easily so I can cover this up with make up. I pulled out a royal blue and white dress and smiled.

Hopefully Zoe will like it. I did my make up, taking a lot of time in covering up my cheek. I did my hair, up. I admit I looked like I was going to a country club, which I actually was. Alfie had arranged it since he knew Zoe loved dressing up.

I had found these shoes a while back and impulsively bought them. I had no dress to wear them with until I had found the one I was wearing now. I took a clutch with money, my keys, my phone, and extra make up. I clomped down my stairs, careful not to trip. Heels and stairs are dangerous. I made it down and called a cab, giving the address to the country club. I was greeted by Joe Sugg, her brother who was ushering everyone inside for the surprise as Zoe was coming in 20 minutes.
