I felt as if someone was pounding on my chest, before my eyes flew open and water came rushing out of my mouth as I saw my father on top of me.

Standing besides him was Felicia, who had a nasty look on her face as she saw that I was alive.

"I thought I had lost you," he cried, as he wrapped his arms around my cold body and tightly hugged me, but I pushed him away.

For the past few years he didn't care about me and now he was suddenly acting like how a father should? I just wanted to be out of his arms because he took away my wish.

Sighing, he got up and left the room, leaving me alone with Felicia who had an evil glint in her eyes.

Pulling me up, she slapped me across the face before punching me in my stomach. "Next time try something they can't save you from like poison or by stabbing yourself," she suggested.

She took out a small sharp knife I was a bit too familiar with and lifted up my shirt before dragging it across my stomach, adding yet another scar to the many I already had.

"Just a little demonstration for when a coward like you finally get the guts to do what's best for everyone," she said, deepening the knife into my flesh.

Smirking, she pulled it back out before strutting away leaving me with another wound.

Not caring to tend to it, I just tied a piece of cloth around it to stop the bleeding before I fell asleep on the cold floor, thinking about numerous ways to cause my death.

Waking up, I ignored the pain in my stomach from the newest cut and went into m bathroom to take a cold shower before getting dressed in a plain long sleeved shirt and some worn out jeans, before tying my hair into a low bun.

Heading into the kitchen, I went straight to making breakfast trying to be as quiet as possible so that I would not disturb Felicia and my father, unless I wanted another cut.

When I was done preparing my father's oatmeal, I added a few berries and raisins to it before moving on to making my stepmother's berry and yogurt smoothie as I heard their footsteps moving around from above me.

Placing everything neatly on the table, I grabbed a handful of raw oatmeal and exactly five blueberries before going to eat it near the carnation flowers. I eat a very small portion of food throughout the day, that's if I eat anything at all, in hopes that my body would just give up one day but it's taking quite some time for that to happen.

Finishing eating up my portion of food for the day, I walked back into the kitchen to see my father and Felicia engaging in some light conversation as they eat.

Once Felicia saw me, she instantly glared at me as I quickly rushed out before she told my father a lie on me which would result in a nice beating for being a disrespectful brat, who can never do anything right.

Waiting patiently for when they had finished their breakfast, I went and clean up the dishes as I waited for my father to leave for work before rushing out the house before I could be seen.

Hiding behind bushes, I made my way to the woods as I went to my favorite spot making sure that no one had seen me. It was where my mother would bring me when I was younger and it was also where she had died.

Sitting underneath the Weeping Willow tree, I soaked my feet in the lake's cool, refreshing water as tears freely run down my face at the memories of my mother playing in the water.

She was the best swimmer in the entire pack which was how she got the nickname Sailfish.

Lying down in the comforts of the peaceful place and listening to all the animals, I closed my eyes and got rid of all thoughts and focused on nature entirely, and not long after, I had fallen asleep.

Waking up to see that it was already in the afternoon, I was racing through the woods before I was back in the pack, where I was instantly thrown glares and mean looks but after so long it had no affect on me.

I was just about to enter my house when a strong hand had grabbed mine and began dragging me away in the direction of the pack house before I could even react.

The man who pulled me away was the beta. He had curly brown hair and dull blue eyes with a rather pointy nose.

When we got into the pack house, I was thrown into the main waiting room where almost all the other unmated females were already and a few guards and warriors.

"Be on your best behaviour and you better not mess this up and I'm assuming you already know what will happen if you do," he smirked as I nodded my head. I didn't have a single clue as to what was going on but I didn't even want to know.

"Maybe I'm the one." "Hopefully he chooses me." "Obviously it's me."

All the girls were whispering to one another about them being chosen by whoever he is, while I'm just observing everything from the corner of the room near the door as a quick getaway.

After some time the Alpha who despised me with a burning passion walked in followed by a stranger who radiated power off of him, but I didn't pay them to much attention since I was so fascinated with a spider doing its business on a web.

Tuning out of whatever was going on, I studied the design of the web while I watched how the spider slowly made its way to a fly that was caught in it.

Finally thinking that it's about time I paid attention to what was going on, I looked up to see the most beautiful man ever looking around the room.

He had light brown, long, wavy hair that framed his chiseled face perfectly and added to his beauty.

I was just admiring his beauty from afar when he suddenly began sniffing around.

"Mate," he growled out, as he sniffed the air and began scanning the room with his shining silver eyes. It could not possibly be me, because he smelled just like a regular wolf.

When they landed on mine, it was as if time had just stopped and he was everything that I could possibly need and more.

"Her," was all he said, as surprise was written on everyone's face, including Alpha Malik.

All I wanted to do was just disappear from the face of the Earth as if I never existed in the first place.
