Although the King and prince was back to the castle, it still wasn't as lively as before. Hard times were quickly approaching and they needed to be prepared for it.

The King was in the center of the square to give a few announcements to his people, something he always did upon returning from his travels. He didn't view himself as a King, so he didn't want to be treated like one.

Princess Aracel and prince Omirion were busy training on their martial arts together and the little princess Nubia was currently in her mother's study reading.

She loved reading about the Moon Goddess and then comparing what the books said to what her mother had told her.

They spoke of her as a kind and caring mother for all werewolves, who did what she thought was the best for her children. According to her mother, she was just one controlling bitch.

She didn't care about others and their own emotions and only wanted them to do as she say and when she say it. Her mother also said she didn't care about her kind since what she was planning to do was going to end up in a blood bath.

Even though her mother hadn't instructed her to read any books today, she had taken it upon herself to do some extra reading to be prepared for her next lesson.

Whenever she was doing something new that she liked, she was determined to know as much as she could about it.

If she was to be able to communicate and connect with the Moon Goddess, then it was only right that she knew everything that there was to know about her.

So far, she learned that the Goddess's sister, Selene, was the one who created vampires. It was also said that the vampires and werewolves weren't destined to be enemies, but that was what they were being brainwashed to believe as time went on.

Princess Nubia was so fascinated and her excitement kept on growing with each page she flipped. So much history, facts and secrets that were kept hidden away from the world was all around her right now.

She couldn't wait for the day when she would get to meet Gaia, the Goddess. There were so many questions that she had prepared to ask her based on everything she now knew.

This was all so exciting and new. She felt as if she was being sucked into a whole new world.

Soon, the study door opened as the queen lazily strolled in with an unreadable expression. She had a bothered look in her eyes mixed with some other emotion.

"What's wrong mother?" Princess Nubia asked while looking up from her book.

"I just have a lot on my mind right now, nothing to worry about," the queen said, although her voice said it wasn't. She slowly made her way to her small, round wooden table.

Her hands immediately reaching to the moon rock which sat directly in the middle of the table. It was gifted to the King and Queen the very first day they moved into the castle from the Goddess herself.

She closed her eyes shut as she tightly wrapped her fingers around the rock. Her body going stiff as her back straightened up in the chair.

Princess Nubia was no longer focused on the book in her hands rather than on what her mother was doing. She had never seen her looking like this and it almost seemed as if she was a statue.

The Queen's complexion was getting paler by the second as her blonde hair began to slowly turn silver from the ends up to the roots. Fur was beginning to poke through her hands and it wasn't long before a tail poked through her dress.

Princess Nubia's eyes were wide as saucers since this was her first time seeing her mother in her third form. Actually, she has not even seen her in her wolf form either.

Now she couldn't help but wonder how she would look in her third form. A tail while in human form looked so awesome to her.

The Queen began whispering to the Goddess before opening her eyes which were now a dull silver colour. It looked like all energy had been completely drained out of her body.

"Please show me the way and reveal all truths." That had princess Nubia wondering what truths she could be talking about.

Suddenly, the Queen immediately pulled back her fingers from the rock as if it had shocked her. Her normal physical appearance quickly returning as she shook her head.

She still appeared to be drained of her energy as she gestured for her daughter to come towards her.

"Darling, I want you to know that one day soon you will meet the Goddess," the Queen said as she paused, her eyes looking sleepy. "Do not be afraid because I will always be with you."

The little princess nodded her head not knowing what to say. There was a deeper meaning to the words her mother said and she didn't want to believe what her mind came up with.

"Don't think about it for now and it's not what you are thinking," she said as if she could read her thoughts but then again, maybe she could.

The Queen never liked telling her children about the so called gifts the Goddess gave her because she viewed them as curses. She never wanted none of this but it was forced upon her.

The only good thing that came out of all of this was her wonderful family. That was the only blessing she had received which she was truly thankful for.

What she had just seen through the eyes of the Moon had drained her of the little energy she had left because she had been having a hard time getting sleep.

She was always worrying about the safety of her family and those around her because of those visions she kept on having.

What the Goddess had shown her today was enough to make her satisfied, at least for now.
