Aracel and I was playing in the sandbox at the park, while Ashanti was somewhere around doing something I knew nothing about. We were having a wonderful time there while most of the other parents just chatted away with a friend or was busy texting on their phone, while their children was doing their own thing.

Sighing, I looked at the ruins of my sandcastle while Aracel giggled at me. Her dimples on full display as she threw the sand at my face while I tried to get out of the way before it could hit me.

"Cute little sister you got there," a deep voice that I recognized said. I didn't think that we would meet again and if we would, not so soon.

"Mateo," I said quietly as I looked up to see him smirking at me. His light brown eyes sparkling as he looked between Aracel and I. A look of curiosity in his eyes as he looked like he was trying to solve a puzzle.

"Interesting," he said more to himself than me. "She's a special little thing and I can tell that there are many people that are already after her." The smirk never left his face as I stood up to face him with Aracel clinging onto my leg.

Aracel had no expression on her face as she stared up at Mateo. Her hands wrapped tightly around my leg.

"What are you Mateo and why are you here?" I asked in a bored tone as I now wished for this day to end. "There's no way that you are a werewolf or a human." Everything was going so smoothly until her arrived and changed my mood, ruining everything.

"So eager to know what I am now," he said pausing, as he looked around. No one was paying any attention to us and it looked like he was satisfied. "I am a being of nature and as to why I'm here, well obviously for my stolen bride."

My eyes widened at his last words. There was no way I was going back to that mad family that nearly made me marry this man.

I let out a nervous laugh as I picked up Aracel and rested her on my hip. Looking around, I tried to spot Ashanti but he was no where in sight. So I looked for the most crowded place that I could run to.

"Don't even bother running, especially if you don't want anything to happen to her. I mean, you wouldn't want to end her life when it just started." His eyes had an evil glow in it causing me to take slow steps away from him, but then I saw Ashanti approaching behind him.

"Sorry to cancel to your plans, but she isn't going anywhere." His voice full of power as he rested his hand on Mateo's shoulder.

Mateo turned around to face him while laughing. It wasn't a regular laugh but one that said he didn't care if he died right here and now because of his stupidity. This guy must be insane.

"So you must be the one who abused her and kept her locked up in your house. So sad that you don't know how to treat a woman, especially one of such beauty and power," he said, as Ashanti let out a loud growl which sent everyone running away from the park.

Parents grabbed their children hands and ran away without looking back at the scene, leaving the four of us all alone.

Ashanti had a deadly look in his eyes as he looked towards me. Right now, I wanted to be anywhere but here because I know that after this, Ashanti's going to bury my body for what I did and said before.

His hands were instantly wrapped tightly around Mateo's throat as he slowly applied pressure. Mateo was struggling to breathe but he still had a smile on his face which just made Ashanti even angrier than he already was.

"Ashanti, don't. You're setting a bad example for Ara," I said, as I made sure that she was facing my chest instead of the scene in front of us. Even if this was the real world, it was still a bit too early to introduce her to it.

He let out a sigh before finally agreeing to let him go as Mateo just laughed before walking away, but I couldn't think about him now. I was in some big trouble and I wasn't ready to deal with him in an angry state.

"Let's just go home. Ara's tired and it's been a long day," I said, just as Ara let out a little yawn. Ashanti said nothing as he huffed and just walked away as I followed close behind him.

I didn't say anything to him after that knowing he was like a ticking bomb and one wrong move, and he would explode. Let's just say it is never good to be around an angry wolf let alone be the cause of their anger, which unfortunately, I was.
