Nothing could be heard except for the wind's whistle as she hid in the bushes. Her little girl tightly holding onto her fearing that if she let go, she would never see her mother again.

Although the entire place was silent, she could smell them. There was a good number of werewolves in hiding, waiting for the right moment to capture them.

What gave them away was their scent. The scent that belonged to those cursed by the Goddess and among them was a scent Alejandra could recognize from miles away.

Amongst those werewolves was Alpha Jovano. The very first man who had showed her love and care when no one else did and made her fall for him. Who knew that one can be so easily deceived just because of what they crave.

Her arms wrapped securely around her child whose teeth was sunk deeply into her neck. She didn't know why she was so hungry all of a sudden but she knew if she kept on feeding, it wouldn't be long before she passed out.

Her thoughts going to Ashanti who was currently away and didn't know when he was returning. Hopefully he was on his way because there was no way she could take on that many werewolves at the same time.

Removing her daughters head from her neck, she placed her finger on her lip to tell her to keep quiet. Any little sound and their hiding spot would be discovered.

Her daughter's eyes were soon getting darker with each passing minute indicating that she needed to feed right at this moment.

She offered her daughter her finger to feed on for the time being but she refused, shaking her head and staring directly at her mother's neck. It wouldn't be long before she cried.

Looking around for a safe place to run to, Alejandra was disappointed spotting no exit out. The moment she came out of the bushes would be the moment the wolves surround her.

Suddenly, a tear drop rolled down the little girl's face as her mouth opened wide. Her eyes closed shut and a scream sounded throughout the entire forest.

In an instant, the growling of wolves could be heard all around them before a man's voice yelled for her to come out. His scent was not that of Jovano's men, but she did it anyways.

Her daughter's head was buried in the crook of her neck as she rocked her body.

"You can just come with us willingly and everything will go by smoothly or we can always do this the hard way." His voice was harsh as the man's eyes lingered on her daughter.

A growl erupted from her throats as her protective nature kicked in. Her ears began to change into wolf like ones as her eyes and hair colour turned silver. Her long tail moving swiftly behind her.

The man and the wolves were all shocked since no one has lived to tell what the Guardians of the Moon looked like in their second forms. There were many tales as to how they were imagined, but no one had guessed this.

She let out a howl as a wolf jumped at her but with one swipe of claws, it's head rolled around on the ground.  The other wolves stared at the man and then her, waiting for orders on whether to attack or not.

Suddenly, her daughter began to cry as she tried her best to shush her, but was failing terribly. The little girl was very hungry and was dying to have a meal.

Soon she stopped and bit down hard on her mother's hand, causing her to loosen her grip around her. The little girl began sniffing the air as all eyes were now on her.

In a flash, the man grabbed the little girl as a smirk came onto his face. "Come with us now and nothing will happen to her," he threatened.

Alejandra didn't know what to do and was trying to stall them in order to get more time. She was just hoping that somehow a miracle would happen and everything would be alright.

"Mommy! I'm hungry," the child cried out while trying to reach out for her mother. The man roughly pulled on her arm making Alejandra growl at him as the wolves took another step towards her.

"It's alright sweetie," she tried to comfort her. "Mommy will feed you later."

The man let out a humourless chuckle. "So much for being special and you can't even protect your own child. That's really pathetic," the man taunted with a wicked grin plastered on his face.

Just then the little girl let out a growl which was very similar to that of her mother's. With her free hand, the girl removed the hair that was blocking her eyes surprising both the man and wolves.

The little girl's eyes were two different colours, one blue and one silver. Both shining brightly as she inhaled the air and let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry mommy," she said in a tiny voice. "But I really need to feed!" Her voice was no longer soft but very loud and deep and mixed in with a growl.

Without a minute to lose, she bit off the man's hand that was holding her in place. As she licked the blood off of her lips, her eyes got darker as she looked at the wolves with hunger clear in her eyes.

Alejandra quickly jumped to her daughter's side to finish off the man and when she turned around, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her sweet, innocent little girl was jumping from wolf to wolf while biting their necks.

She was just about to jump onto Alpha Jovano's wolf when she yelled at her, " Leave that one alive!"

The girl still bit into all four of his paws making it unable for him to runaway before finishing up the rest of the wolves. When she was done, she was covered from head to toe in blood.

She run towards her mother and wrapped her tiny arms around her mother. "I did it mother. I killed the bad guys," she cheered happily at her victory.

"You sure did and you did a wonderful job sweetie. You're mommy's little princess," she smiled down at her, but her mind was filled with many thoughts.

'I guess the moon goddess will be keeping her words after all,' she thought to herself, as she looked at Alpha Jovano's wolf that was lying on the ground.

The queen woke up in the middle of the night feeling a bit more tired than when she went to sleep. From that dream of her past, it seemed like the Moon Goddess had finally answered her question.

With a sigh, she went back to bed.
