I woke up to the smell of delicious pancakes that wee placed in a neat stack on the table with two glasses of milk. My belly grumbled as I took in the delicious scent before quickly making my way to the table, just as the front door opened.

In walked Ashanti looking even more handsome than yesterday with his hair in a messy man bun. I couldn't help but stare a little until I remembered that staring was rude and snapped out of my gaze.

"Good morning. I made you pancakes," he said, as he took a seat near me before placing some pancakes on a plate and handing it to me, before doing the same thing for himself. We ate in comfortable silence as I savored the taste even though they were just pancakes.

"Thank you," I said, when I was done eating as I got up. "I appreciate your hospitality but I have to get going."

I was just about to turn the door knob when a loud growl stopped me in my tracks as I turned around to see Ashanti standing near the sink. His eyes were no longer hazel but shining bright silver as he washed the plates.

"Do you know how long I have waited for you Alejandra?" His voice was calm but the way his eyes were shining told me he wasn't, but for some reason the way he said my name just made me want to melt away.

My mind was blank as I just stared at him. For some reason, I knew that if I tried to runaway that he would catch me and that would just anger him even more.

"Every day I watched you in the arms of another while I had to wait for when the time was right," he said, as he dried his hand on a towel before coming over to me. "And it is finally here now." He rubbed his hand on my cheek as he stared into my eyes.

Emotions were swirling in them as I simply stood there. I thought about Jovano but somehow everything I felt for him had just vanish as if it was never there and that was when I realized what had happened.

My grandmother had planned this whole thing so that I could meet him, but for some reason I felt as if she was telling the truth about me being danger. I was no longer sure of anything as I walked over to the couch.

"Am I really in danger?" I asked, placing my head in my hands as I felt the cushions next to me sink in as Ashanti sat next to me.

There was a short pause before he finally responded. "Yes. Many Alphas are on the lookout for you."

I sighed, knowing that my little luck was gone and I was back to my unlucky self. I hated everything about my situation but there was nothing that I could do to change it.

I felt his arms wrap around me as I was pulled into his hard chest. I didn't try to pull away because right now I really needed a hug and he was right by my side. So I buried myself in his chest as I wrapped my arms around his strong build.

After some time and my mind was finally thinking straight, I pulled away and rested my back on the arm chair as he watched me. I was patiently waiting for him to say something but he never did as he continued to watch my expression.

Sighing, I decided to break the silence. "So you're okay with this whole thing?" I asked, not knowing how to word this mess that I was, but he just looked at me confused.

"I mean, like isn't this whole situation a bit weird. Doesn't that bother you?" I asked, watching his emotionless expression as he thought for a while as I waited for his answer.

After some time passed, he finally responded to me. "I get what you're trying to say but the Moon Goddess explained things to me and besides, she has probably broken off your bond with that Alpha," he reasoned with me. "After all, it was just a cover up to keep you protected from the other pack you were raised in."

I understood what he said as I nodded my head because he spoke the truth. There was no use in arguing with him, because there was nothing else I could say.

First my mother left this world and then I was abused and the next thing I know was that I was said to be the mate of an Alpha. Then I finally shifted and got my wolf with the help of my grandmother and got to meet the Moon Goddess who clarified that the Alpha is not my mate but she forced to bond onto us. Now I am in danger and met my true mate.

"So what are we going to do?" I asked, knowing that there was no way I could just walk out of here and even if I did, Alpha's from everywhere are on the look out for me, so I could easily fall into dangers way.

"Well you have gotten your wolf I'm guessing, since you're on the run," he said, as I nodded my head. "Well then, I guess it's time that you learnt how to defend yourself and use your abilities," he said casually while my mouth hung open.

"I knew that we were special and so was my blood, but I didn't know I had abilities," I said shocked while he just shrugged his shoulders.

"Didn't the Moon Goddess explain this to you when you shifted?" He asked.

"Yes, but she didn't mention abilities except that we were meant to stop the war that was coming."

He shook his head at me while chuckling. "Then how do you think we would be able to stop them if we didn't have abilities?"

When he said that, my eyes widened when I realized how dumb I was.

"That makes sense," I whispered, as he rolled his eyes at me.

"Well the day is young, so let's get to training."
