Subject: I have arrived
To: grace-k-nelson@bethel.eduI'm at the hotel in Morelia. The trip was pretty uneventful. We skipped some of the stops that the school used to make because of security concerns.
The hotel has a striking interior. It is open in the middle all the way to the top, at least four stories. A corridor wraps all the way around each floor so you can look over the railing at any point down into the middle. The downside is that there is no elevator and my roommate and I are on the third floor. But the colors are dark and rich so, even though I don't think it's the most expensive hotel, there is a feeling of warmth and luxury, almost like walking into an old Bond movie or something.
After we had checked in, Sierra and Lexi made me go shopping with them. I wasn't sure about the idea, but I'm alone so often, and they were nice enough to think of me. I'm sure they didn't analyze it as much as I'm doing, but whatever. They made me buy a halter top and are insisting we go out later. I haven't decided yet, but if I do go, I'll give you the highlights afterward.
