MAIAH

Napabuntong-hininga na lang ako sa sinabi ni Kyle, matapos nilang lumayo ng daddy niya at pumunta sa study room na available katabi ng bar ng safe house na ito para mag-usap gaya ng gusto niyang mangyari.

Humanda ka mamaya, Kyle Joseph Martin.

"Kanino galing ang information, Boss?" tanong ko ng mabalik ang pansin ko sa Elite Team.

Hindi ko pinag-aaksayahan ng tingin si Tony kahit na ramdam ko sa gilid ng mga mata ko ang mataman niyang pagtitig sakin.

"Kay Jill. Isa siya sa mga spy at informant natin." sagot ni Boss.

"Pero nakakasiguro ba tayong hindi isang gawa-gawa lang ang mga details na nakuha niya? I'm not doubting this information. But we have to be careful. Matagal na nating tinatrack down ang sindikatong to. Matagal na nating sinisearch ang utak ng grupong to. It's been 4 years, Boss. And in the past 4 years, ilang beses na tayong nabiktima ng maling impormasyon, ng katrayduran, ng krimen sa sarili nating grupo."

Natitigan ako ng lahat.

"I know, Maiah. But we have to trust on this. We need to risk everything for us to succeed. I know you're worried for the Martins but we're also part of this case. And we're here to help protecting them. Now, please check this files... Leonel Jason Ruiz, half filipino half american, at siya ang mastermind ng High Class Syndicate. Research team is currently on their way to check his profile. But we have one thing for sure... He is now dead. Sabi ni Jill, namatay siya sa isang buy bust operation ng Department of Investigation last 2008, nung matrack down nila ang isa sa mga base ng sindikato at nagkataong nandun siya pati ang pamilya niya."

"And we're sure that he's dead?" tanong ni Tony.

"Yes, research team confirmed that. We have every detail of his funeral, the date and the cemetery where he was buried."

"You said he's with his family. What happened to them?"

"There were evidences that his wife, and his daughter died too. May pinasabog kasing bomba sa loob ng area ang isang member ng sindikato nila kaya nadamay sila. They were also buried in the same cemetery with him." paliwanag pa ni Boss.

"Well, kung patay na ang mastermind, sino ngayon ang nagpapatakbo ng High Class? Sino ang leader ng operation nila? At sino ang utak sa mga death threats ng Martins?" tanong ni Arren.

He has a point. Kung patay na ang mastermind, sino ngayon ang leader ng High Class na hindi pa rin napupuksa? No, there's someone else. I know. May kutob ako. At may hinala ako. Ayokong maniwala sa mga impormasyong nakalatag sa amin ngayon. Ilang beses na kaming naloko. Ilang beses na kaming nahulog sa bitag nila. Not now. Not with the Martins. Hindi kami pwedeng magkamali. Hindi ko pwedeng irisk ang buhay ni Kyle at ang Daddy niya.

Pero hindi ko sinalungat ang mga opinyon ni Boss. I'll do my own research. Hindi ako magpapaistorbo kay Kyle. Ngayong may lumitaw ng pangalan ng mastermind pero sinasabi nilang patay na, well then, let's see if that's really the truth. 

"Kung nadamay ang pamilya niya, there's still someone who took over the management of this damn syndicate. I'm very sure that it's one of his relatives. It's the only thing I'm certain right now. But I'll definitely look into this. Pero may balita ba kung may mga pag-atake pa rin sila? I mean, we destroyed their huge area in Laguna. But did we really eliminate them?" paninigurado ko.

"Well, they're monitoring their possible actions. I mean, High Class Syndicate is the biggest syndicate here in the Philippines. And I'm not convinced that  they're all destroyed and finished. So, we are still looking forward for updates." si Boss.
