Warnings: Sad Black Brothers arguing, mentions of murder/death eater attacks, Sirius crying (every time he cries, I cry T-T), wolfstar arguing/fighting, mention of the Black family and their abusive nature, war-war-war-war, and mentions of the Death Eater leader (who we all know is...).

February 1977

Sirius walked down the corridor, the prophet in his hands. Lily had given it to him to give to Remus, but he was bored. He'd usually be walking down to lunch with James and Peter to meet Remus, but James and Peter were helping with some stupid shit, Marlene and Lily with them. So it was just him. Going to meet his Moony for lunch. Although the more he read the less hungry he felt.

"Mysterious cloaked figures now identify themselves as Death Eaters, no official names confirmed, the leader still a mystery"

Sirius sighed, shaking his head. He knew it was them from the beginning. His cousin, Bellatrix...Narcissa. Regulus . He flipped the page, and another headline in dark ink was displayed on top. "Dufftown Village Attacked in Death Eater Massacre" . "That's not even that far from here!" Sirius whispered. He shut the paper, turning the corner to the Great Hall. Even stopped outside the doors, waiting for Remus and his friends. His Mother was behind this uprising in some way, no doubt she would support it. That must've been why her grasp was so strong these last few years. He was going to turn her sons into Death Eaters. Sirius needed to talk to Regulus. Now. He entered the Great Hall, looking instantly at the Slytherin table. Regulus sat chatting with Dorcas, showing her an excerpt from his book. Sirius tucked the newspaper into his coat pocket before walking over. "Reggie!" Reggie!" Sirius called, appearing in front of the table. The four Slytherins stopped talking, all looking up at Sirius. In his fur-lined coat and earrings and red lipstick. "Regulus I uh...I need to speak with you" "Can't". Evan stood up, leaning across the table at Sirius. "Reggie isn't allowed to associate with you, Potter" Evan answered. "I just need a minute-and it's Black to you Rosier!" Sirius snapped. "No it's not" Regulus corrected.

The two brothers looked back at each other. Ice in Regulus's blue eyes. "You're not welcome here, Lion..." Regulus muttered, putting down his book. "Reggie have you seen what's been in the pap-!" "I know what's been in the papers, Sirius!". Sirius frowned, stepping back from the table. "If you need someone to comfort you, why don't you ask your precious owner?!" Regulus teased. Barty started chuckling, clapping Regulus on the back. Dorcas sighed, climbing off the bench she sat on. She walked around the long table, approaching Sirius and taking his hand. "Come on, babes, they're not worth it" she whispered. Sirius shook his head, facing Dorcas a bit. "But Cas-!" Sirius began. "Cas?!" Barty called. Barty stood as well, both he and Evan angrily staring at Dorcas. "What?!" she shouted back. "You're helping him?! He's not worth supporting-!" Barty scoffed. "Doesn't mean we should berate him" Dorcas corrected. Sirius pulled away from Dorcas, rubbing her arm gently. "It's okay Cas...I'm okay" he whispered. Dorcas nodded, patting his shoulder. "What exactly do you want, Sirius?!" Regulus barked. "I...I just wanted to make sure you were alright-" "It is no longer your job to make sure of that".

Regulus grabbed his belongings, standing up from the table. "You left me to fend for myself...so that's exactly what I'm going to do!" Regulus added. The three boys began leaving, but Sirius ran after them. Exiting out into the entrance hall. "I told you to stay silent!" Sirius screamed. Regulus froze, Barty and Evan turned around. "You were the one who outed me to Walburga I...I did nothing" Sirius whispered. "You did everything!" Regulus scoffed, turning around. He stepped closer to Sirius, looking him up and down. "Dressing like some...priss, this isn't who you're supposed to be-and you leaving, and being-being whatever you are is what ruined our family!" Regulus corrected. "I am who I am....and you know, if you didn't have such a stick up your ass you'd be who you'd want to be too..." Sirius chuckled. He stepped closer as well, leaving mere inches between the brothers. "I know you better than anybody Regulus Black" "Could say the same...Sirius Lupin".
