Hogwarts, 1975

"Siri-Sirius! James!" Remus whispered, chasing down his friends. "Come on Remus-Peter keep up!" Sirius called behind him. A chubby short boy followed lastly behind Remus, shaking and panting out a breath. They all reached a particular door along the corridor and stood to catch their breath. "Phew-made it!" Sirius chuckled. "We're 15 minutes late! Good job James!" Remus barked. "Hey, it was your idea in the first place, Lupin!" James scoffed, tossing his hands up dramatically. Remus rolled his eyes, clutching his book in his hands. "Can we try not to run as fast next time?" the chubby boy wheezed. "Oh come on Petie! Bulk up!" Sirius scoffed, running a hand through his wavy black hair. Peter crossed his arms, glaring at Sirius. "Alright well, anytime you chaps are ready to go to class?" Remus muttered sarcastically. "Gosh, Rem-you're such a nerd!" Sirius scoffed, grabbing the classroom doorknob. James and Sirius entered the room first, followed by Remus and Peter.

The four boys entered, stopping all movement in the classroom. Flitwick turned to the door, stopping his lesson. "Good morning, Professor!" James called, waving to his professor. Sirius smacked James's hand down, sending him a sharp glare. "Ah! Mr. Potter, Mr. Black, Mr. Lupin, and Mr. Pettigrew-what an expected surprise!" Flitwick sighed. Sirius shrugged, tossing his hair over his shoulder. Flitwick jumped off his podium and approached the four boys. Walking down the center aisle of desks. "What exaggerated excuse do you four have this time?" Flitwick asked, crossing his arms. "Professor we-!" "Overslept!". Remus glared over at James, who smirked back. A redhead girl in the front row rolled her eyes, turning away from the boys. "All four of you overslept?" Flitwick repeated, raising an eyebrow. "Sure did!" Peter cheered. Sirius nodded his head, elbowing Remus playfully. "Dear Merlin" Flitwick muttered, reaching up and rubbing his temple. "It-it won't happen again sir, I swear!" James promised. "Mr. Potter one more word and I shall send you to the Deputy's office!" Flitwick threatened. James quickly shut his mouth. Flitwick looked back up at the four boys. "Does any one of you want to come forward as the starter of all this?" Flitwick asked.

None of the boys answered. "20 points each from Gryffindor house!" Flitwick yelled. Flitwick turned away, heading back towards his desk. "20?! We were 15 minutes late!" Sirius scoffed. "Mr. Black, must I write to your mother?!" "No sir!". Sirius's face went pale at the mere mention. James glanced over at him nervously. "Seats! Now!" Flitwick demanded, stepping back on his podium. The four boys rushed to their seats at the back of the room. Remus and Sirius with James and Peter ahead of them. "Stupid bloke who does he think he is threatening me?!" Sirius muttered, kicking his feet up onto the desk. Remus looked awkwardly over at him. "Your professor, Sirius!" Remus reminded, pulling his quill out of his bag. Sirius looked across Remus's lap to the bag on the ground beside him. "You still got that old thing?" he asked, smiling up at his mate. "Hm?" "The bag!". Remus glanced down at his school bag, then confusedly looked back up at Sirius. "Yeah, what about it?" Remus asked. "You've had that since first year, don't you want a new one?" Sirius asked. Remus licked his lips subconsciously, nodding his head. "I would like one, but I don't have the money!" Remus answered.

He reached down and grabbed some fresh parchment, dropping it down on his desk. "You know you're meant to be writing this down too?" Remus said sarcastically. "I know, I just don't feel like it!" Sirius sighed, resting his hands behind his head. Remus rolled his eyes as he removed his school robes. "Listen, Sirius, women like guys with brains!" Remus scoffed, leaning over Sirius. "Must be why you're such a magnet, Lupin!" Sirius teased. Sirius leaned back slightly so Remus could reach the bag beside Sirius's chair. "Woah Rem, at least ask me on a date first" Sirius teased. "In your wet dreams Black!" Remus sighed, dropping Sirius's quill and parchment onto the desk. Sirius felt his cheeks flush up a bit. "Here, you can borrow my ink-as I'm assuming you used yours to write gross messages on the girls' restroom walls again!" Remus sighed. He slid his ink pot in between the two of them. Sirius sighed, sitting up straight again. "You have to admit seeing Evans's face grow as red as her hair was kind of funny!" Sirius chuckled, dipping his quill into the ink. "I don't get why you have to bother her and the girls so much! You know if Mary was still around, she'd kick you right in the balls for harassing her friends!" Remus scoffed.
