As soon as Harry and I waltzed into the common room.... we wanted to walk back out. Hermione and Ron were arguing, always bloody arguing. This time though, it was more serious, well it was about Crookshanks. Ron hated the cat with a burning passion, I think he hated it more than anything else in the world, and I couldn't help but pity Hermione as she was constantly subjected to his rants about the cat.

"Look at him!" he said furiously to Hermione, dangling Scabbers in front of her. "He's skin and bone! You keep that cat away from him!"

"Crookshanks doesn't understand it's wrong!" said Hermione exasperatedly. "All cats chase rats, Ron!"

She was right, but I didn't dare say anything. Like Harry, I think it's best we let them sort it out by themselves, if worst comes to worst, I will intervene. I couldn't help but think about the boy I bumped into today and I will admit, I was angry that I didn't know his name yet. Before my imagination could run wildly, I slapped my cheeks. I refuse to be one of those girls that follows their crush wherever he goes, it is simply the most pathetic thing in the world.

And thinking about him isn't?

I hated my own thoughts sometimes, they really make me feel like shit. And then there is also my lesson with Dumbledore today, which I almost completely forgot about. I will admit, I was slightly dreading it. Anyway, what were Hermione and Ron talking about again?

I blinked a few times to snap myself out of my own thoughts and found three pairs of eyes on me.

"What?" I asked.

"We asked you twice if you wanted to go to the Great Hall for dinner," said Hermione.

They were talking to me?

"Umm, yeah, let's all go."

I abruptly stood up and walked out the door not bothering to see if they followed me.

Dinner was a little bit awkward as Hermione and Ron refused to speak to each other. So Harry and I spent most of the time talking together, while the other two peacefully, albeit tensely ate their food.

Young love.

When reading the books, everyone knew by now that Hermione and Ron liked each other, although Ron was too immature to ever admit he liked her and had no idea how to actually express himself and the same can probably be said about Hermione. I can't wait to see Harry when he comes into the world of relationships.

After saying goodnight to the boys, Hermione couldn't stop complaining about Ron. She was absolutely livid that he never believed her and I did my best to provide some comfort. Eventually, she went to sleep after we studied a little together. Well, it was mostly Hermione teaching me how to read ancient runes because I was completely lost.

I wait until eleven thirty before I sneak out of bed and make my way to Dumbledore's office. I think I have the gist of where everything is in the castle, I haven't gotten lost recently. Well, in the last twenty four hours, but you didn't need to know that. Thankfully, the password is the same as I climbed the sandstone steps into Dumbledore's office. I rap two distinct times on the mahogany doors before it creaks open by itself.

"Ah, pleased to see you again Ms Aydin. How are classes fairing?" said Dumbledore.

"They are going fine."

"That's good. Now we are going to get started on your first lesson."

He stood up from behind his desk and paced around the room, hands clasped behind his back as his silvery blue robes dragged on the floor.

"I believe we should start with Occlumency. Do you know what it is, Ms Aydin?"

I shook my head. I had never even heard of the term.
