Noah knew by now that when one of his kids were pacing, it wasn't a good thing. Vic was pacing, moving her necklace back and forth, meaning her brain was going a mile a minute.

"What happened?" He asked.

Vic turned to her dad. He saw the anxiety and worry in her eyes. "Ethan called me and said he and his boyfriend were coming to Beacon Hills, I've tried calling him but I've gotten nothing. It's voicemail every time. Dad, what if they ran into hunters?"

He walked into the room and grabbed her shoulders. "Okay, Vic, take a breath," he instructed. He watched as she took a deep breath. "Whatever happened, wherever they are, we'll find them, okay?"

She took a breath and nodded. "Thanks, Dad."

He saw as her eyes hardened, her armour slide on, the walls build around her heart.

She looked to the hall. "You know you could have used the front door," she called.

Noah turned, his hands dropping from his daughter's shoulders. Liam stepped into the threshold, an awkward look on his face. "I didn't want to draw any attention," the boy said.

"And crawling through the bathroom window wouldn't draw attention?" Vic asked. Almost on cue, the landline rang from the kitchen. "Ten bucks says that's Mrs Platz next door," Vic said.

Her dad left to get the phone. They both heard him say, "Hello, Mrs Platz."

Vic smiled. "What's going on, Lýkos?"

"Nolan texted me," he said.

"Why do you have Nolan's number to begin with?" She asked.

"I used to use it for lacrosse stuff," he explained. "Like when the next practice was. And I honestly forgot I had it when all this started."

Vic sighed. "What does he want?"

"He wants to meet at the school," Liam answered. "Said he has a plan, something he wants to show. And part of the plan is I get to beat him up."

Vic licked her lips. "I'm coming."

Liam nodded. "Yeah, I figured."

Nolan was used to being afraid. Ever since that night in the library, fear and panic were a constant for him. They were always there, in the back of his mind, trapped in his lungs.

But he wasn't used to people being afraid of him.

That's all he saw when he walked into the library. He saw the glances, the faces going pale. He saw them whisper, saw them glance over their shoulders. He moved to a shelf and a boy moved away, quickly.

"Doesn't feel good, does it?" Nolan looked down the aisle between bookshelves to see Liam at the other end. "Know why they're all looking at you like that?"

Nolan between the books at the students. They watched him from the corner of their eyes, their forms tense. "They're afraid of me," he resolved.

"They're afraid of what you're gonna say," the wolf corrected.

"And who you're gonna say it to," a voice behind him said. He turned around to see Vic Stilinski behind him. He felt his breath get caught. He remembered the wind that rattled the windows, the way the ground shook as she yelled. "There's a reason why no one likes a snitch."
