Kinjal's P.O.V

I peeked through the window and saw that a drunken man was beating a girl cruelly, and the women was stabbing another girl with a knife. My eyes widened. I immediately called 911

Operator: Hello this is 911, what is your emergency

Me: I want to report a child abuse

Operator: Where?

I gave them the address and waited for them. I didn't even realise I was crying. The police and ambulance came after 10 minutes, I went inside with them, I saw both the girls holding on to each other and crying they were twins. I quickly went to them and knelt down besides them. I went to touch them but they flinched away from me. Seeing this broke my heart.

Me: Hey sweetie pie. I'm not going to hurt you

I said them softly and tried again. This time they didn't flinch I embraced them in a hug while they sobbed on my shoulders. After a while they calmed down. The doctor cleaned them.

Officer: Ma'am we have to take them to the station with us

They started to take them but they held my hand tightly

Me: I'll bring them to the station with me

We got out and I went to my car with the girls. They both sat in the back seat. I got in the driver's seat and followed the police to the station. When we reached the station, we got out of the car and followed the officer to a room. There was a lady sitting dressed in police uniform.

Officer: Ma'am these are the girls who were abused and she is the witness

Lady Officer: Ok you can leave. Please take a seat

We sat on the chair and the girls were still holding my hand

Lady Officer: I'm officer Skylar

Me: Kinjal Nayaka

I shook her hand and gave my statement.

Skylar: Hey sweetie what are your names?

Both the girls looked at me

Me: Hey princess tell your name she is not going to hurt you

I asked the girl to my right

Girl: Jessica

Other Girl: Jennifer

Skylar: What is your birthday date

Jennifer: 6th July 2008

Skylar: Who is the elder one

Jessica: Me

Skylar: Ok

She wrote down the details

Skylar: We have to send them to the adoption centre

Both the girls squeezed my hand. I looked at them.

Me: I'm adopting them

Skylar: But ma'am I can't let you do that

Me: I want to adopt them

Skylar: But how will we know you are taking care of them

Me: Last year I had adopted Jacob and he is happy with me. You can check the files if you want

She left to check the file. I looked down at both of them.

Jennifer: Will you be our Mommy?

Me: Yes baby girl

They both hugged me. Skylar came back with the papers

Skylar: I checked the records you can adopt them. Just sign these papers

I signed the papers. I took the girls with me and drove off to the institute. We we reached there I drove off to the back of the campus to my house, I parked the car and entered the house and saw that Jake Jase and Mel were in the living room watching TV. The girls hold my hand and hide behind me.

Me: Hey guys

They turned and looked at us.

Jacob: Mom who are they

Me: Jake they are your sisters, Jessica and Jennifer

Jessica and Jennifer: Hi

Jacob: My name is Jacob

Jessica: Jessica

Jennifer: Jennifer

Jacob: I'll call you Jess and you Jenny, and you can call me Jake just like mom

Me: I liked the names Jake

They all smiled at me

Me: Jake take them to your room to play

Jake went with them to his room

Melissa (Mel): You adopted them?

Me: Yeah

Jase: But why are they in bruises

Me: When I was coming back I saw a vase was thrown out of the house on the street. And I went to check and saw that a drunken man was beating a girl and a woman was stabbing another girl. I called 911 and got them arrested and adopted them

Mel: How can people be so cruel

Me: I don't know

Jase: Are you okay Kin

Me: Yeah

Jase: We'll leave now, we have some important thing to do

I saw Mel blushing

Me: Important work or a date?

I asked smirking, Mel blushed harder and Jake just winked

Me: Ok bye guys. Have fun but not too much. And yaa use protection

Mel was blushing like a tomato and Jake just laughed and snaked his hand on Mel's waist and left.

Aww they are so cute. I wish I had someone like that.

I decided to cook something for the kids. I made pasta and sandwiches, Jake likes pasta very much. I placed everything in the plates, poured orange juice and took everything upstairs on a tray. When I went to Jake's room, I saw that they were playing a board game.

Me: Kids, I brought pasta and sandwiches for you.

Jake: Yay

When they finished eating I took everything downstairs and showed the house to Jess and Jenny. I also showed them their room and they liked it. I read them a story and they went to sleep. I kissed their forehead and saw Jake entering the room

Jake: Mom did they also?

Me: Their mom is not anymore, their dad and step mom used to abuse them

Jake: Mom I promise you I'll take care of them

Me: I know sweetheart you will

I kissed him on the cheek. I took a picture of them sleeping together

Me: C'mon lets go to sleep. Today was a long day

I entered my room and changed into pj's. I saw the picture and decided to tell the world about my beautiful princesses. I uploaded the picture on Twitter and Facebook with a caption
