Chapter 45

A year later, Genevieve fixes Kristina's dress.
"Oh my god. You look beautiful."
"Gorgeous", Genevieve's sister Karla says.
"Thanks girls!" A knock on the door interrupts them.
"You girls ready?", David asks.
The girls walk out & take their seats while Kristina prepares herself. David smiles & Kristina takes a deep breath.
"You ready for this?"
"Very ready." The wedding march comes on & Kristina links her arm with her dad's as they proceed to walk down the aisle together.

Tony sees her approaching & they smile at each other. Her dad takes his seat while Tony takes her hand & the ceremony begins. Tony rubs her hand with his thumb.
"Stunning", he mouths.
"Likewise." Soon it's time to say their vows. Kristina begins.

"Tony, our journey together has been one hell of a ride to say the least. Despite everything's that's happened, it all gets easier with you by my side. You are the man of my dreams. A man who loves me just as much as I love him. So loving, caring, generous & confident, which I love. You annoy me to no end, you make me laugh til my stomach & face hurts. When you hug me, I feel so safe. When you kiss me, I feel every ounce of your love. When I look into your eyes, I feel at home. You are my everything. I can't believe that I'm marrying the best thing that's entered my life. I love you. I can't wait to see what our new life has in store for us."

Next up, Tony's vows.
"Kristina. There's so many things I love about you. So many things I want to say. My heart raced the moment we met. It was told me to stay away, to not mix business with pleasure. But with the hold you have on me, I knew I couldn't. You are my rock. My light that shines through all the impending doom we've faced so far. It's no secret that I've never been much of a relationship type of guy but you...you changed that. The words 'i love you' never really mattered much to me until you said them. I'm complicated & impulsive but you are the counter balance to all I am. I love you."

The ceremony nears its end.
"I, Kristina Marietta Ruiz, take you Anthony Edward Stark to be my lawfully wedded husband. To have & to hold from this day forward, in sickness & in health til death do us part."

"I, Anthony Edward Stark, take you Kristina Marietta Ruiz to be my lawfully wedded wife. To have & hold from the day forward, in sickness & health til death do us part." They slide their rings on each other's finger.
