Chapter 25

A few days later
7:15am

Kristina has had the best few days of her life. Her dad is feeling much better. The doctor's are hopeful that they got it in time. Her birthday was incredible & now she has officially moved into Tony's mansion. She wakes up, puts on Tony's shirt & heads downstairs. She pours herself a cup of coffee & walks over to the living room with her coffee, staring out the window.

She sips her coffee, smiling. Feeling so content with life. Tony comes down quietly & shirtless. He walks over to her, wraps his arms around her waist & kisses her cheek.
"Morning baby", he says softly. He kisses her shoulder.
"Morning", she says. She puts the coffee down.
"Ooh, you know I love it when you bend over", he says. She turns around.
"Pig", she laughs, wrapping her arms around his neck. Kissing him.

They pull apart & he smirks.
"How about we play hooky today?", he asks.

"Seriously?" He nods.
"Yeah. We could leave in a couple of hours. Grab some brunch, go shopping, catch a movie. Anything you want. So what do you say?"

She smiles & nods.
"Let's do it." She kisses him.
"So what do you want to do today?"
"Hmm. Brunch & a movie sounds great." He smiles.
"Sounds good to me too." He picks her up & takes her over to the couch. He lays her down & kisses her. His hand travels up her leg then Happy walks in, interrupting them.

"Shit. Sorry." They pull apart. Tony gives him a death stare.
"What, Hogan?", Tony asks annoyed.
"I was coming to check on you. See if you both were ready."
"We're skipping work today", Kristina says. Happy looks surprised.
"So, what's the game plan for today?"

"Well, brunch & a movie so far", Tony states. Happy nods.
"We'll leave in a couple of hours", Kristina says.
"Of course. Let me know when you're ready", Happy says before exiting the room. Tony grabs Kristina & they head upstairs to shower. Kristina undresses quickly & steps into the shower, Tony follows afterwards.

They shower quickly & decide to get dressed. Kristina pulls out jeans, crop top & gym shoes. Tony throws on a Black Sabbath shirt & jeans. Kristina rushes into the bathroom to do her hair & minimal makeup. Tony stands in the doorway, admiring her.
"What?", she chuckles.
"Nothing. You just look hot." She smiles.

Blushing, she says, "So do you babe."
"I know." She rolls her eyes as he laughs.

She puts her makeup away.
"Well, I'm done. Should we head out?" He nods & pulls out his phone to text Happy. They head downstairs & see Happy grabbing something to drink. They all leave the house & head to one of Tony's favorite cafés. Once they arrive, they find a table & look over the menu.

They place their order with the waiter & make small talk. The waiter brings the table a round of mimosas. They all take a sip. Not long after, their food arrives. Kristina kisses Tony then gives Happy a kiss on the cheek.
"Don't be giving away my kisses", Tony says.
Happy & Kristina laugh.
"You're ridiculous", Kristina laughs.

Once they're done eating, they pay & head out. They all get in the car & head over to an old movie theater. They're playing Classic Hollywood movies. Tony holds her hand.

"So what do you want to see?", he asks.
"Hmm." She stares at the small movie list.
"Ooh. Gilda! I love that movie. Have you seen it?", she asks.
"Nope. But if that's what you want to see then let's get tickets", Tony replies.

Kristina pays for the tickets & they head to the counter to get snacks. Happy pays for the snacks & they all head in to the theater room to find their seats. They sit in the first row, middle seats. Nearly 10 minutes later, the movie begins.

Tony grabs Kristina's hand while they watch the movie. Kristina recites a few lines throughout the movie. Tony stares at Kristina. She notices & turns her head, smiling.
"What?", she asks.
"Nothing. I love you, beautiful", he says kissing her softly.
"I love you too, handsome." They continue watching the movie.

The movie finishes about an hour & a half later. The theater lights come on & they wait til the group of people exit the theater.
"So, what did you guys think?", she asks. They stand up.
"Wasn't bad", Happy replies.
"Pretty good", Tony says.
"Good. I love it. Rita Hayworth was so unbelievably beautiful in that movie."

They toss their garbage out & leave the theater. They all get in the car & head back to the mansion. Kristina snuggles up to Tony, kissing his cheek. They arrive home & they head upstairs. Kristina throws herself on the bed, kicking off her shoes.
"Home sweet home", she says. Tony takes off his shoes & joins her.

He kisses her, they cuddle & unexpectedly fall asleep. An hour later, they get up & head downstairs. Tony goes to his workshop & Kristina calls her dad. When she finishes her phone, she heads down to Tony's workshop. She goes down the stairs & hears "Panama" by Van Halen blaring. She unlocks the door & steps in.

He's focusing on what he's working on & she lowers the music a bit.
"Hey baby", he says.
"Hey. Don't mean to bother", she says. She walks over to him, touching his back.
"You never bother me. What's up?"
"Just wondering if you're hungry. I could make us dinner."
"Sounds good. Want me to help?"
"No. Keep working." She kisses him & heads upstairs.

She walks into the kitchen & looks through the freezer. She doesn't see anything appetizing. Tony comes up.
"Find anything good?" She shakes her head. Tony grabs a menu & orders burgers & fries. She laughs when the call was over. About forty-five minutes later, their food is delivered & they eat in the living room, talking.

Once they're done, Tony finishes up in the workshop & Kristina calls Genevieve to catch up. An hour later, she ends the call. She decides to head to bed early & goes to take a quick shower. Not long after, she gets dressed in PJs & grabs her laptop & puts on a movie. She gets comfortable & falls asleep a little while later.
