You were glad school was over for the day. It could be a real bummer sometimes, but that wasn't why you were glad. You were meeting your best friend, Gossamer in the park today. He had been your best friend for as long as you could remember, but now your feelings were becoming a little more complicated. You now had a crush on the little monster.

He appreciated your friendship a lot, cos no one really talked to him. They couldn't look past the monster exterior, even though he was a sweet boy.

"Gossamer!" You greeted him cheerfully as he pulled you into a hug . "(y/n)!" He cried excitedly as if he hasn't seen you in years. He was kinda crushing you though. Sheesh, the kid didn't know his own strength.

"Uh, Gossamer, you're hurting me" you croaked.

"Oh, sorry!" He panicked and flinched away. You could see he was blushing after this, it was so cute when he blushed.

 It's ok. Say, wanna get some ice cream? " you point your thumb to a man who was selling ice cream in the park.

 "I'd love to! "

"ok, lemme buy you one "

"Oh no, you don't have to (y/n)"

" Oh it's fine. I have extra pocket money this week"

 "Well, alright then"

You approached the ice cream seller. "Two cones please" you smiled.

 "Here ya go"

 "Thank you"

You both started licking your ice creams and sat down on the park bench. You stopped licking your ice cream cos you got a weird feeling in the pit of your stomach. You so badly wanted to confess your crush.

 "G-gossamer" you started.

 "Yeah?" He replied, unnerved.

 " I've got something I wanna tell you"

 "What is it?" He stopped licking his ice cream and looked at you. This made you feel more uneasy.

 "It's just...You know how we're friends, right?"

 " we're not just friends, we're best friends! "

 "Right, well, lately, I've started to see you as something more than a friend."

 " You mean.... "

 "Yeah, a crush"

 " woah"

 "Yeah"

 "You're the first girl who's ever had a crush on me" he marvelled.

 "It's sad, I know"

 "And the first crush of mine to like me back"

 "What?!?" You gaped in amazement.

 "Yeah! I told my mom all about it and she told me to invite you over for dinner once I told you I liked you"

You were shook. "Well, looks like I'm coming to dinner then" you smiled at him.

You put your arms round him and gave him another hug before getting up and going with him back to his moms house.
