i woke up the next morning to find ross still asleep on the phone
i smiled at his messy hair and cute smile before grabbing my phone and going through the notifications
"megan😛 - shit, youre in deep shit"
"mitch - you haven't been at work for like 3 months? i'm going to have to fire you if you don't turn up today, 12pm sharp, or your out."
i panicked.
i checked the time only to see it was 11:29
shit.
i whipped the covers off myself almost immediately and felt the cold air hit my legs
i shivered as i stood up and headed to the bathroom with my phone still in hand
"kenzie?" ross croaked
then i remember i was still on the phone.
"oh shit, hey" i said putting my face into view
"what are you doing? it's like half three"
"for you it is, for me it's half 11 and i'm going to be late for work" i rushed
"work?" he mumbled
"yes work, i'll let you sleep, i'll talk to you later" i said as i took my trousers off
"mhm" he mumbled
"okay okay, bye bye bye" i hurried
"bye gorgeous" he mumbled again as i hung up
i changed into some leggings and a jumper before slipping some socks on
comfy.
i brushed and left my hair down before throwing my glasses on that i don't really need that much anymore but they still helped
i rushed out my room and downstairs to see my mum and dad in the kitchen
"in a rush are we?" my mum laughed
"yes, work"
"oh right" she nodded
i grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl on the way out and slipped into my converse; not putting them on properly
i grabbed my keys and rushed into my truck slamming the door a little too hard
i shurgged as i started it up and made my way to work eating my apple on the way

after puting my shoes on properly and aiming my apple core for the bin outside my car; then missing
i was finally ready to go into work
it was 12:01 as i rushed through the doors
"your a minute late!" mitch shouted as soon as i walked through the doors
"it's a minute!" i rolled my eyes
she shook her head as i walked in the back

after my hour and a half shift i was finally walking back out the doors
megan wasn't in as she called in "sick" but there was no doubt she lied
mitch just shouted at me half the day, i don't know what i was doing wrong? she asked me to clean for the hour so i did, she asked me to serve for the other half so i did
yet it wasn't good enough?
i got into my truck as i got a phone call from? rydel?
i put it on speaker after answering and left it in the phone holder as i pulled out of the car park
