as we arrived back at our house i jumped our and pulled the seat forward letting everyone else out, they all rushed over to the front door as the pavement was burning
i pulled the chair back to normal and looked at ross, he was so adorable just sitting there
"thank you" i smile out of breath
"it's nothing, but listen are you guys coming back over? it sounds kinda dumb but it's loads of fun having everyone round and my parents don't mind either" he starts rambling
"ross, slow down, we would love too, let's us grab some clothes and i'll talk to my parents yeah?"
he nodded in agreement
"i'll be back" i smiled brightly
he smiles back as i shut the car door and ran into the house with my parents both sat in the kitchen ahead of me
"we're home" i shout
"listen mum, dad, can we use the beach house? or the cabin? it's summer holidayssss, we wanna have funnn" i try and persuade my mum and dad as i walk around the bottom floor looking for things to take with us
"honey, slow down, me and your father have to go away for a business trip with the art company okay? you and your friends can use the house, we're be gone for around a month or two, we're coming back near the 3rd of september so we're gonna miss your birthday, but hopefully we can visit" my mum says whilst she cleans the table down
"really? that's long" i sigh
"i know but i trust you guys to use the house, keep it clean and you can use the beach house but please sure your safe and call me everyday" she smiles as she starts unloading the dishwasher
"when are you leaving?" i nod
"sunday" she sighs
"tomorrow?" i said with a shocked expression
"have you told the others?" i continued as i felt my phone vibrate in my pocket
she shook her head as i pulled my phone out of my pocket to read a text from ross
ross😎🖤 - you okay?
me - yeah, come in, i might be a while
soon after i sent the text there was a knock on the door, i walk over and kick my shoes out of the way before opening it and letting ross in
"is everything okay?" he says stepping into the house
"yeah just um my parents are going away for like two months, their missing my birthday" i sighed
"oh kenz" he frowned whilst putting his arm around my shoulders
"they said we can have the house whilst their gone" i smiled weakly looking up at him
"really?" he looked shocked
"yeah, and the beach house" i had a full blown smile on my face by this point
"as in? all of us?" he questioned
"yeah, all of us" i looked up at him to see a huge smile on his face
"let's do this, you go grab some food, go back home, then tomorrow you guys all come round, if your parents are okay with it, we're head to beach house for my birthday yeah?" i wrap my arms around his chest slowly
he nods. "i'll see you tomorrow?"
"of course" i smile as i look up at him
he pulls me into a big huge before walking back out and into his car, i lean up against the door frame and wave him goodbye
i decide i should tell the others the plans so i head upstairs and call everyone out onto the landing
"mum and dad are going away for a while so we're gonna have the lynchs stay with us for a while okay?" i explain with a frown
"whys that a bad thing?" maddie asks me
"it's not, mum and dad aren't gonna be back till around the 3rd of september, their missing my birthday" i sigh
"oh, it'll be fun! don't worry, we're have loads of fun, go to the beach house, don't worry about it" max says with a smile
"i guess, there coming over tomorrow, so make sure your rooms are clean, mason and max can you get the spare mattresses from the basement and put them up on the landing?" i ask with a big smile
"yeah come on" max says pulling mason down the stairs
"maddie? are you okay?" i look over to maddie and see with the biggest smile on her face
i grab her arm and pull her into her room and sit on the edge of the bed
"what's up with you?" i laugh
"ryland" she giggled
"CUTEEE" i shout
"on my birthday, we're gonna get you dressed up all nice, he won't be able to take his eyes of you" i laugh getting all excited
"fine but for now, you and ross? i saw you two at the door" she rolls her eyes
i slap her shoulder "oh shut up"
"he really likes you, you can tell, and i can also tell, you like him too" she laughs
i roll my eyes and walk back into my own room and slouch on my bed for a while, i pulled my laptop out from under my bed and starting watching netflix, i spent most my day doing that but it kept me entertained so i wasn't complaining
i kept thinking back to what maddie was saying
he really likes you, you can tell...
does he like me?
...and i can also tell you like him too
do i like him?
he wouldn't like me surely, he's one of the popular kids, there's no way
unless...

this chapters kinda short and boring sorry, i try keep my chapters to around 2,000 words but i struggled with this chapter, hopefully the next one will be better
but what do you thinks gonna go down at the beach party? will ross and kenzie confess their feelings for eachother?
