when we got into my room i made sure the door was shut properly, i didn't want anyone to overhear us
i sat on the edge of my bed as ross followed putting his arm around my shoulders
"want to tell me what's wrong?" he frowned
i nodded as i leant my head into his shoulder
"i told myself, that i wasn't going to get attached, and how i wanted to keep it on the low, we both agreed to that, but i'm really falling for you ross and i know it's stupid because we've only been together a few days and i know your leaving soon and it's gonna be tough but i just wanted-

this kiss wasn't a rough kiss, it was a gentle, slow, soft kiss that made me feel so loved, don't get me wrong i liked every bit of ross, but this? this was something different
this showed a side of ross i didn't think i would see, after seeing his as the popular kid at school? from choir? and my panick attack, then to this? this showed me a different side of him, and i can tell i already prefer it, ever since my ex and i, i'd rather be safe

it had been around 2 weeks and it was my birthday in a few days, we spent them two weeks just having fun pretty much, we would go to the beach, hang in the pool, have barbecues, we would stay outside by the fire till stupid time in the morning, we even went on a walk and ended up in a lake? but it was overall just fun
maddie and ryland had grown pretty close and i'm pretty sure they were dating by this point, and for me and ross? we were more than happy, we had become so close in the past two weeks, we would sneak out late at night and go to the park and just talk till the mornings, we would do everything together and honestly i really enjoyed it. rocky and megan clearly have feelings for eachother but i don't think they actually have the guts to tell eachother, but it's pretty obvious, she had been staying with us every so often because otherwise she would be alone all summer, and i don't want that
tonight was the party at my house, we were leaving for the beach house in around 2 days, we have all of today, tomorrow and the day after; we leave, i was pretty excited but nothing ever perfect, something had to happen right?

"you excited for tonight?" i'm sat on the edge of my bed scrolling through netflix trying to find something to watch when maddie walks in
"yeah, i actually am? is that weird?" i shrug
she shakes her head and laughs at my comment
"do you know what your wearing?" she sits beside me and watches me scroll through netflix
"not really, i haven't really got anything except from my old bridesmaids dress" i sigh
she laughs. "let's go shopping"
"really?" i put the controller down and face her
"yeah come on! it'll be fun, rydel and megan can come whilst the boys get the house ready" she claps her hands before walking out my room
