'It's ridiculous! I didn't sacrifice myself for that woman!'

'I didn't, I'm not that naive to sacrifice myself for someone who mess me up.'

'I killed myself, not sacrificed.'

'It was my own decision to kill myself.'

'Even without his words, I'll kill myself.'

'It wasn't for her, it was for my own.'

"What just happen."

The prince whispered to himself.

'Why is she desperate to die?'

'Isn't death something to be feared?!'

His expression was priceless.

Eyes widen in surprise, the heroine looks at him, completely alarmed and worried.

"Is there something the matter?" She asks him while intertwining their fingers. Her voice unexpectedly made him regain peace and he smiled at her.

"No, there's nothing that needs your concern."

(Idk why but I think he said she's too stupid to understand it?? Like idk.)

"Very well then."

The witch was surprised but she was thankful she immediately regain calm.

The witch never knew Knile could be that terrifying. After hearing her answers, the witch acquired more reasons to not trust her.

"As you all know the empire was thrown into chaos." She said as she walks circles around the villainess who did nothing but stare at the floor. Her widen crimson eyes were covered by her dark hair.

The witch then came to stop and shifted her gaze towards the crowd.

"The commoners revolting, plague, the witch trials, his majesty's death, natural phenomenon that manifested the east Empire; these catastrophes cause havoc and anxiety. Everyone, including the mighty Duke's whom everyone praises couldn't even do a thing about it. Where did their powers go? The blessings of the goddess?"

She intentionally mentioned them. What do you do when you're the only one with the highest knowledge and position during a conviction?

That's right, abuse it.

Abuse the power and use that opportunity to strike at the people who aid your banishment.

Even though it means aiding them with your granddaughter's execution, she doesn't care.

She's too selfish to care about Knile's suffering.

It's as if there was a line drawn in front of the two witches and Knile surpassed it. What was the line? Humanity.

Knile is beyond human after spreading terror and killing a million. She lost her humanity and there was no saving her.

'Even if I team up with her to destroy this empire, I might end up dead. She's too tricky and suicidal.'

Her thoughts came to a sudden halt when someone suddenly said something.

"We cannot do anything about that." Nash suddenly stated, making his twin click his tongue in annoyance.

In the original manga,  both of them have great teamwork and understanding. Unfortunately, that cannot be witnessed in this new timeline because of the misunderstanding they both have back then.
