Smirking in satisfaction, he drops the pen and glances at the heroine through the window.

'Soon, We'll be happy... Just like what you wanted..'

He finalized his works which mostly consist of the Empire's affair. Contented, he stood as he walks towards the bookshelves, looking for the books which talk about laws and policies.

He planned on eliminating her a long time ago and it was just yesterday he found the perfect solution.

After his beloved explained everything about their prior world, he was given solutions and a new vision. It was truly saddening how he treated her back then and he promises he won't do it again but, he doubts he would.

He knows he's just lying towards her.

And he can't wait to see her betrayed face.

'Her betrayed face... '

'Just thinking about it makes me pleasant.'

'The past me was so stupid to let her die and escape.'

He knew she was a fool when it comes to love and trust. She was an easy prey to control and her emotions are effortlessly manipulated. She was naive and even after escaping she didn't change. She was still the oblivion heroine he came to admire.

He was so appeased with this current life he can't wait to end the current threats.

'Knile...'

The only person with the power to bring harm upon his beloved.

She was cunning and manipulative.

A thing he dislikes. He doesn't like how she always managed to control the situation and threaten him back then. She was just someone lower to him yet how dare she.

'How dare she insults us!'

With the power given to him, he could have executed her easily.

'If only she wasn't the next Duchess.'

The depressing thought made him laugh a little.

'No worries, executing her as a dark mage sounds easier.'

He knows. The heroine told him.

It was funny how the heroine told him to not accuse her of a dark mage after sharing her knowledge. It was awful how the heroine doesn't know the real him after living with him for how many years.

It sometimes saddens him to realize how unsophisticated she was.

She trusted him deeply and that belief will soon be betrayed after he killed Knile.

She should've also known he hasn't changed.

But that naivety makes her look attractive even more.

Slowly he walks towards the window while reading the book.

His mind was occupied by the future he would be receiving after eliminating her.

'How many children should we create?' He asks himself as he hums in satisfaction.

He imagined himself with her, happily eating together.

He couldn't wait to be the Emperor and give everything the Empress wanted.

'Should I kill them?'

'Surely I already know everything. Going to the academy isn't needed since I'm well-informed.'

'And Astaria's knowledge will help me.'

He debated whether he will kill the Emperor or not.

There were a lot of merits received after his death but his grin drop when he remembered the heroine crying.

He laughs as soon as that thought entered his mind. He wanted to see her in despair.

He was confident everything would go as planned  so he called one of his attendants which was also an assassin.

He ordered him to poison his majesty which causes the assassin to freeze. The assassin was frightened about how he told him his plans.

Plans consisting of killing people who disrespect her beloved.

The assassin thought he was crazy but did what he was told.

The prince started laughing again.

"With the Emperor dead, I can immediately execute Knile and other nobles without a fuss."

He stopped laughing and gaze outside through the window, observing the heroine.

"Soon, we'll be so happy."

He finally calmed his mind and proceeded to go to the library to read more about laws.

He was pleased with how everything is wrapped around his finger, ready to play. He has plans for everything so he knew he wasn't gonna fail.

Unbeknownst to him, a tragedy has struck.

One that is not predictable, not at all.

As he was walking around the library he was meet by the heroine panting loudly, ready to collapse.

He immediately went towards her as she helps him stand.

"What's wrong?!" Ask the prince, his calm demeanor fading.

She had a horrified face and was completely beyond shock. Her sunset eyes widen as she stares at him. Tears filled her eyes as her lips trembled.

Her silence was irritating so he once again asks what's wrong, trying not to shout at her. He was so filled with worry and uneasiness.

"Countess....s-he was f-forcefully taken by g-guards.."

The prince had the urge to raise his eyebrow.

He still couldn't believe it was just about that stupid countess who tried to seduce him.

"And what's up with that?"

The heroine gulped.

"S-she was accused as a witch."
