                          CHAPTER 1

The scorching sun soothed her , while the humid air stuck to her

neck plastered like a cheap mask. Jessica rubbed her face with the wet

towel Kaitlin handed her. Jessica threw the purple towel over her face

and leaned back in her chair for the sun to do it's work on her legs

and it was so nice of Kaitlin to supply her with a spare room after the

break up with Luke. It was a terrible idea to live with him. She was

over come by the antiques ,the sublime vista of the balcony and the

whole hint of an isolated island . It was amazing but if it mean being

tied down to one man then all the beauty in the world seemed like a

pile old crap. She just didn't have the time to put someone else as her

priority except for her family.

"Are you going to explain?" Kaitlin asked. Jessica sighed

pulling the towel off of her lips.

"Luke and I broke up" Jessica shrugged causing her bikini strap to

slip off her shoulder just a bit.

" You mean you crushed his heart, setting it on fire and then froze

it."

"Kat you know me so well." Jessica chuckled and gasped as Kaitlin

pulled off the towel from her face making Jessica aware of Kaitlin's

scorching blue eyes. Her hair drifted just below her neck curling at

the bottom .

"He proposed. He was about to" Jessica said sitting up and sighed

at the fury which was blazing in Kaitlin's eyes, but she didn't seem to

judge. Se nodded with the same tilt of her head guys go crazy over.

"Kat you know I came here to teach not to be carrying Luke’s

babies" Jessica said hoping her friend wouldn't go over the top.

"You're getting a head of yourself. You guys have been together

for a whole year and you dump him just like that." Kaitlin scowled.

"I know I'm mean-"

"More like a bitch" Kaitlin snapped. Jessica smiled At the boss of

her words. Kaitlin had always had a problem with anger. They had met

in college over a broken ceramic pot, which she threw at the wall due

to the professor not accepting it. She lend her pot to Kaitlin earning

her eternal love.

"You still love me." she winked.

"The down aide of life" she retorted crossing her arms.
