The gentle trail of sunlight teems through the shoji doors of Hijikata's room. (Y/N) could hear a soft rustle and a low grunt. Gently prying her eyes open she sees Hijikata freshly showered, with that handsome wet hair look and was putting on his casual kimono.
"Toshi....Isn't it your day off? Sleep in a little longer...." She moans as she falls back on to the futon and places a hand to shield her eyes from the light.
"Matsudaira-san asked me for help for a mission. Kondo-san and Sougo are coming too, so it must be pretty serious." Hijikata explains, as he saunters over to her and kisses her forehead lovingly.
"I'll be back before you know it." He assured with a small smile. (Y/N) pouted and sat up, tired eyes looking at Hijikata cutely.
"You're leaving me alone?"
".....Yes." Hijikata stoicly said.
"Tsk, what a cold man. You make my heart cry, Toshi." She waved a hand dismissively at Hijikata as she let her body fall to the futon and then she pulls up the blanket to her body.
"...So, this is your heart crying?" Hijikata stifled his laughter when she was snuggling in the blankets, trying to fall back to sleep.
"Yes. My heart is crying, because you're leaving me and won't cuddle with me, so I need the comforts of my blanket."
"Pfft, what a baby." Hijikata snickered as he kneeled down to her side. "I'll cuddle with you when I finish the mission, alright?" He gently sweeped her hair away from her face to kiss her forehead again.
Then, she opened her eyes and glared at him while pouting. "....Don't you dare show your face to me if you don't bring me food later." She huffed while Hijikata laughed heartily.
"Alright, alright. I'll bring you food later." He ruffled her hair and stood up. "I'm off now. See you later, I love you." With that, Hijikata disappeared through the doors and (Y/N) let out a deep sigh.

Hijikata's eyebrow twitched, he had been listening to Matsudaira, Kondo and Sougo argue about how to kill the men hitting on Matsudaira's daughter.
Hijikata closed his eyes with a soft sigh and massaged his temples with his fingers. 'I.......blew off my special cuddling time with (Y/N) to deal with these idiots?....'
"Alright! Enough with this! I'll go settle it myself!"Hijikata yells irritatedly making the men shut up. Okita, Kondo and Matsudaira were at the rooftop with sniper rifles pointed at the convenience store Matsudaira's daughter works at.
They were more than ready to kill the three coworkers who were hitting on her, until Hijikata decided to go down there himself, and deal with it without killing the three boys.
"....Alright then, Goodluck!" Matsudaira says as he moves his rifle. "But if you do a bad job— I'll be saying goodbye to you instead."
Hijikata gulped as he went down, with a sigh. 'I have to hurry up...I miss (Y/N) already.'
"You're!.....Mayo 13-sama!"Kuriko says with stars in her eyes, as she quickly jumped over the counter.
Hijikata, thinking he could use this to his advantage, quickly wrapped his arms around her waist. "She's my woman!" He smiled at Kuriko and then spoke.
"But, you don't need to worry anymore. I'll always...be by your side." Kuriko blushed as she looked at Hijikata dreamily.
"If you talk to her again, I'll kill you!!" Hijikata growls in his deep voice as he brings his sword out, and the three men shrieked before running away.
"Toshi....IS HAVING AN AFFAIR?!" (Y/N) who was standing and hiding in the snacks section, just happened to witness the scene and gasped.

"Ah, so irritating!"Gintoki, Kagura and Shinpachi were out at the park, as well as (Y/N), who Gintoki dragged along when they bumped into her dejected figure walking out from a convenience store.
They were watching lovers everywhere and they felt sick. "Where do they even come from?" Kagura mutters angrily.
"They do this whenever the weather's good," Shinpachi says with a deep sigh.
"....Love doesn't exist anymore. All that lives in my heart is this black thing called hate and anger." (Y/N) sighs as she sipped on a strawberry milk carton given to her by Gintoki.
"Ah! I can't stand it, (Y/N)! Do it with me once!"Gintoki says as (Y/N) steps on his foot.
"No, thank you." She refused as she stood up. "I have somewhere to go, it was nice seeing you guys again!" She bid goodbye and walked away.
"Ahhh! That hurts! That hurts! Tsk, stingy woman with monstrous strength."Gintoki cries as (Y/N) scoffs and walked away with a flip of her hair.
"I said that wasn't it!!"
They heard a voice behind them that sounded oddly familiar and so they hid behind the bush and peeked to see Hijikata with a girl who had an orange bob cut hair.
"Listen, I was ordered by your father to act that way, since they're not here I'm not acting anymore." Hijikata desperately explained but the girl was just admiring him with hearts for eyes.
"Anyway, I have to get back to work, maybe we can go on a date later!" Kuriko says as she ran away without even understanding Hijikata's explanations.
"Hey, we're professional relationship breakers." Gintoki smirked, "We'll be able to help you." Shinpachi suggested with a smug smile.
"We'll do anything for money and white rice!" Kagura declares with a smug smile. "You heard everything?" Hijikata sighs exasperatedly at the trio.
"Anyways, you said you're professional relationship breakers right? Do it, I don't care anymore." Hijikata says as he waved his hand at them. Then, he looked up at the sky.
'...I just want to go home to (Y/N).'

"Oh, Pervert Otaku, huh?" Kagura nodded in approval, Hijikata and Kuriko were walking in front while Gintoki, Kagura, and Shinpachi were following closely behind.
"Ugh, disgusting. Otaku's are really disgusting," Kagura says with a disgusted face. "Hey! You were looking at me right?! Definitely me!" Shinpachi yells at her.
"No woman will like a guy who watches that sort of stuff," Gintoki sneers.
(Y/N) was walking by, with a bunch of groceries in hand when she sees Hijikata with a woman hanging on his arm. She gasped and hid from their sight.
"...They're even going on a date!" (Y/N) clenched her fist and nodded determinedly.
"I'm gonna follow them around today— and then, I'll catch him in the act!!"

"She's formidable." Kagura says, "Gin-san, Kagura-chan's turning violent." Shinpachi says, turning to Gintoki.
"Alright, I guess I'll have to pull out that one," Gintoki says as they enter a restaurant, following behind Hijikata and Kuriko.
"Oh, Gintoki! What a coincidence!!" (Y/N) says as she casually approached Gintoki and the gang.
Kagura started ordering a bunh of foods. "I'm only treating (Y/N), Kagura— Pay for yourself!" Gintoki says to the vermillion haired yato who was already devouring food.
"What?! Gin-chan! How could you do this to me?!"
(Y/N) was quiet as she stared at Hijikata and Kuriko. Hijikata had a look of awe and admiration when he saw that Kuriko liked the Hijikata Special.
"....Ah," She spoke and placed a hand to her chest. "Now, my heart really is crying..." She stood up and turned to Gintoki.
"Sorry, I forgot to buy something. I'll be going first." (Y/N) weakly smiled at the trio and walked away— not wanting to see Hijikata with Kuriko.

"...Stupid Toshi, what's so good about that girl anyways? I win over her in many aspects!!" (Y/N) angrily says as she kicks a stone on her path. After learning of Hijikata's affair with a younger girl, she became depressed but also fired up for revenge.
"Wait— I haven't given them a piece of my mind yet!!" (Y/N) gasped as she immediately started looking for where Hijikata could be with the girl.
Then, she stops at an alleyway where she sees Gintoki, Hijikata, Shinpachi, Kagura and Kuriko. (Y/N) rolled her shoulders as she stomped towards the group, preparing herself to beat the shit out of Hijikata.
"(Y/N)-san!? Why do you look like you're about to beat someone up!?" Shinpachi says, stopping (Y/N) before she could reach Hijikata.
"I am! I'm gonna beat up Toshi for cheating on me with that woman!!"
"Cheat?...What? But, Hijikata-san said it was just for work!"
"....What?"
After that, Shinpachi explained everything to (Y/N), she had calmed down and decided not to kill Hijikata anymore. "I see...Then, Why doesn't he just make it clear to her then?" She said with a confused look as she approached Hijikata.
"Toshi! You should learn to tell it— " (Y/N) was cut off when Kagura pushed (Y/N) and she fell towards Hijikata, their lips connected as she fell forward in Hijikata's arms.
(Y/N) looked up, and smirked at Kuriko.
"My, My— What did you need, little girl? I'm afraid adults have some..... adult things to do~" (Y/N) says smugly to Kuriko as Hijikata caught on what she was trying to do and circled his arms on her waist, pulling her closer to his body.
"Toshi, who is she?" (Y/N) cooed as she runs a finger through Hijikata's bare skin making him shiver with how good it felt.
"I don't know, the only one in my heart is you, honey~" He smirks at her as he places his lips on her neck, sucking lightly on her skin.
"M-Mayo 13-sama! You already had a lover?! I'm terribly sorry, but things won't work out for us!!" Kuriko bows apologetically as she ran away. The Yorozuya Trio also walked away, so now only Hijikata and (Y/N) ere left.
"Honestly, you idiot!!" (Y/N) suddenly flicked Hijikata's forehead as she pushed him away from her.
"O-Ow!! What did I do?" Hijikata frowns as he rubbed his forehead. "You should learn to turn others down! You're too kind for your own good and it ends up giving people the wrong idea!!" (Y/N) ranted frustratedly.
"I....I thought you got tired of me and was cheating on me with a younger girl," She pouted and crossed her arms, turning her back to Hijikata so he wouldn't see the vulnerable expression she was making.
"Pfft, is that what you thought?"
"Don't laugh!! I really thought you didn't love me anymore. When I saw you with that girl.......I thought you lied to me earlier this morning,"
"...But, I didn't."
"I know! You're lucky Shinpachi stopped me before I could kill you! I was so angry!"
"Heh," Hijikata smirked as he put his arms around her and hugged her close to him.
"You don't have to worry, from now on and forever— I'll only be Looking at you." He whispers lowly, to her ear making her blush when his hot breath fanned across her cheek.
"W-What are you saying, idiot!?" She blushed and turned around to meet his unwavering, passionate steel blue eyes.
"Y-You better look at me. Who knows when I get tired of you and leave you for another man!" She huffed, with a small pout.
"Pfft, you won't do that." Hijikata smiled as he reached out to place his palm on her warm cheek.
"How can you be so sure?!"
"Because..." Hijikata trails off, as he cups her cheek and gently rubs his finger on her cheek. "You've only always been looking at me." He smirked and then leaned forward to kiss her lips.
(Y/N), in response circled her arms around his neck, falling deeper into the kiss.
"....I hate that you're right." She pouted.
"Don't worry," Hijikata says as he moves away and looks at her. "I've only ever been looking at you too, so it's only fair~"
"Well," (Y/N) smirked and traild her finger along his jaw. "What do you see when you look at me?~"
Hijikata smiled faintly and pressed his lips to her temple.
"When I look at you, I see my future with you."
