I wake up really early, like it still looks like it was night. I look around before noticing on the top left of my HUD that it was around 4 AM. I look down and notice a ... blanket around me. I then notice a weight on my right shoulder, I look to see it is Neo sleeping on my shoulder. I opened up my scroll and notice I have access to the some video sharing services. I started to watch some videos, with audio playing in my helmet. By the time it was 6 AM, everyone started to get up. With Neo being the first one up, noticing me just staring at my scroll. She looks to see some video playing. I then notice her staring at my scroll, before I put my hand on her head and started to pet her head. She enjoyed it, nuzzling against it harder. Everyone started to head downstairs and Jaune's wife , Terra, and Saphron cooked breakfast. Everyone started to get ready I look to see everyone preparing their weapons, Neo practicing her soldier disguise, I look to Blake who took off her jacket. I asked her why, she just responded with "It would allow me better movement. And I think I look better without it." "Okay then... Good luck" I respond.
"Thank you". We started our plan at around 9 AM. Me, Neo, Ruby, and Weiss are in the car (Neo on my lap, while Ruby and Weiss are thin enough to sit on the same seat. Yang got her bike with a ... flat bed trailer? I didn't question it before we drove to our locations. The tension was excessively thick as we drove to our location. We got to our positions and we parked our vehicles into the tree line. Neo and Blake get on Yang's bike, with some hesitation from Yang before driving to the tower. Now its just the waiting game, and waiting for the signal. Ruby looks at her scroll and after a while calls Blake to act, and she .... repeats herself? "What wrong Ruby?" I asked worried. Ruby looks at us before calling Yang and asking what is wrong. "Ruby, what exactly is wrong?" I ask again in a more worried tone. She looks at us before saying "Blake isn't responding." We all turned to the location of the tower, all with worried spray painted on our faces. I look to Ruby who is having Weiss complain about Marina's attitude. Then we heard a thud we look to see a ... MASSIVE ROBOT! Standing up in the sea. She started to talk through a speaker calling us roaches attempting to sneak into Atlas. Before aiming a massive cannon at the air ship Weiss and Maria are on.
She shoots a missile at them, trying to down the ship. I hear a sniper shot, I look to see Ruby had just shot the missile down. She turns us, raises her "cannon arm" as a chamber spins before stopping and aiming at us. I turn behind us to see Weiss jump out and raise a stone wall infront of us. And not a split second later, it gets hit by a massive blow of ice dust as ice spreads from outside the make-shift wall. "That was close" Oscar says in a panic voice. Weiss and Ruby go to the wall before facing us. Ruby tells us "We need to figure out how to stop Cordovin and protect the airship until we do." Jaune comes up with a plan to make us ourselves as more targets for Cordovin to focus on, basically distracting her to avoid targeting the airship. Oscar would go along with Maria in the airship to find a weak spot. Qrow would turn into his bird form to assist in both fighting the bot and finding a weak spot. We got into position, waiting for Jaune to signal us when to go. He look to all of us before screaming "Now!" We charged in our way. Qrow and Ruby going above the wall as one target before splitting up. Jaune, Ren, and Nora to the right of the wall and me and Weiss to the left of the wall. Ruby shot a round into the windshield of the robot, creating a crack. I follow suit by shooting the crack to get it to expand. Cordovin goes to shoot me with her cannon before getting hit by Nora's grenades. Then she fired her second volley of grenades, this is when she raised her left hand and .... a hard light dust shield forms in front of it. The grenades hit it but do nothing, not even exploding on contact. She starts to laugh through the speaker before mocking us with "Surely you knew Atlas was the father of hard-light Dust, or do lesser kingdoms simply lack proper education?" I swear if I didn't know she was part of Atlas, I would think she is a cartoon villain.
I look down to see that Ruby and Weiss has started to jump on ice platforms to the robot. She raised her cannon at Jaune's group before firing earth dust at them. Jaune turns on his radio and tells us that she just activated her shields. Oscar acknowledges it and tells us to find out where it is generating the shields. Ruby joins in saying "You know, in video games, the weak spot's usually on the back of the giant boss." Weiss joins to try to tell her this isn't a game and to take this seriously. Ruby tries to retort but has to cut herself off to warn Weiss of an attack. Qrow joins in saying that we that until the shields are dealt with, the only way we can damage it is with melee attacks. I then hear Oscar scream "Ruby, Move!" I look to see Cordovin fire missiles at both Ruby and Weiss almost point blank. A massive splash of water take their place before popping out is... a white and blue glowing ... bug? With Weiss and Ruby ontop, unharmed.
I see Ruby jump off before attacking Cordovin, forcing her to fall backwards. Into the cliff side we are at, Jaune, Ren, Nora, and I all ran to the bot. Ren manage to cling himself onto her right arm. I look at Jaune and Nora before screaming "Nora, Hammer. Jaune get that shield up." Both nod towards me before doing so. Nora turns her weapon to its hammer form before throwing it to me. I manage to catch it, stumbling before continuing to run. Jaune goes on his knees with his shield up like a bounce pad. I jump on the shield, Jaune pushes me upwards while I jump. Pushing me higher than a normal jump would. I turn the hammer and use its launch feature to launch me further up by its recoil before tossing it back to Nora. I grab my crowbar and the moment I hit the back of Cordovin's hull, I stabbed the bottom end of my crowbar through it. Anchoring me to her back, she starts to move and I wait for Ren to get up here. He eventually gets here and I asks for one of his weapons. He tosses me one, I barely manage to catch it before stabbing it into the hull. I look to my right to see a panel with a black outline. I grab my crowbar and put it on the outline before pulling, it was stuck but I pulled. After a while it burst open but I lost my grip on Ren's gun grip. Before I fell I got grabbed, I look to see it was Qrow who caught me. "Gotcha. What did you find?" He asks me. He tosses me up and I grip onto the extrusion above the panel. We look inside and we see above it, a sign saying "Authorized Personnel only" and below it saying "Shield Generator". "Convenient" I say before we grab our weapons, and started to fire our guns into the thing. It started to spark and smoke till its left side exploded, almost knocking us off.
Then we hear more explosions near the front and more shakes on the bot almost knock us off. We then hear buzzing behind us, we turn to see Weiss and Ruby behind us on the bug. Weiss tells us to jump on. We do, but I notice both she and the bug begin to struggle hard. We must weight to much for it. We get up high and we see Cordovin smack both Jaune and Nora to the side. Ren screams No, before we hear charging up. We look to our side and I felt my eyes narrow to the size of a dust particle as I see the cannon charging a blast at us. Weiss barely has enough time to move us forward but the blast ... disintegrates the bug and we start falling. Weiss, Qrow, and Ren manage to land on the cliff side. Me and Ruby weren't as lucky. We were to far, Ruby used her semblance on us to get father but we were just short before falling down.
Qrow extends his arm to catch us but by the time he could react to us, we had fallen to far. We scream a bit before Ruby gets her Crescent Rose and stabs it into the cliff side. I barely manage to grab onto it, resulting in it sliding a bit further down. We look at each other before looking behind us, seeing Cordovin standing over us before taunting us by saying "This is what happens when you think you know better than those rightfully in charge." I barely manage to say under my breath, loud enough that Ruby heard it, "Lady, you don't know the half of it". She then aimed her cannon at us preparing to fire on us. We attempt to get up high, then we hear a grab. We turn to see it got something in its hand and that the cannon stopped charging. The robot started to turn... right to the air ship. It then tossed something at the air ship and before we not, it got hit by the shock wave of an explosion and it started to spiral out of control.
Ruby and I look at each other before getting out footing. We started to climb our way up by pulling Crescent Rose out of the wall, jumping up and stabbing it back into the wall. After two jumps we manage to get back ontop. We turned to see the air ship is still in the air, now just barely managing to miss each of Cordovin's attacks. She started to taunt Maria, about their ... rivalry? Seriously? All of this for a simple rivalry? That is both insane and excessive.
Oscar came in the radio asking if we are okay. Ruby retorts how they went against the original plan. But Oscar assures her there is a reason for it, he had found a weakness. Nora comes it, carrying Jaune on the shoulder saying "Well, we're all ears." Ren goes to his teammates to assist with Jaune. The rocket launcher on her cannon pop out to fire, so one clean shot could result in the missiles exploding. Jaune agrees with him before Nora asks Ruby if she can even land such a shot. She says she can, if she is staring directly at the cannon, and has only one shot at it. Maria comes in with her plan, she stops in front of us before Ruby jumps on the ship, it is just barely big enough for both Yang and I's vehicles. Qrow tries to stop Ruby to asks what she is doing but doesn't receive and answer as the moment she got on, the air ship flies away. I contact Ruby through the radio and tell her "Good luck, make this count." She responds with " Aye". Now we just wait. The air ship head directly towards Cordovin and she puts out her missile rack to fire. This is it. We can deal with this and help with Yang, Blake and Neo and---

You know that feeling when you put everything on the line, every thing and still lose? Like you made your bet, you had hope, faith, luck, and strategy on your side and still lose? That is what it felt like when we heard that sound. The sound none of us wanted to hear, we wanted to hear the massive boom of an explosion. And what we got is the high ping ... of a ricochet. For some reason, that sound, that small almost silent sound from far away, was louder than any explosion I have heard in my life.
Cordovin began to speak "You thought you could fool me?" Before aiming her cannon and firing a stream of electric dust at the air ship. Miara barely managed to dodge it before Cordovin started to fire on us. Everyone manage to get out of the way. I wasn't so lucky. Time started to slow as I see it get closer and closer to my head. Every fiber in my body wanted to scream or run away. I could hear the static of my radio light up, definitely to let my team to scream my name. Then it touched my head, just like that time resumed. My body got consumed by the blast. All I could do was scream. Scream like I was being mutilated, feeling every fiber on my body being ripped out of me. Then I felt something inside of me light up, becoming nothing more than a raging inferno.
Third Person POV
Everyone stared at both where Gen was and at the crashing air ship. When the smoke cleared, Gen was on the floor. His armored blackened with burns, twitching sporadically with the remnants of electricity in his system. Weiss told everyone to look and they saw the airship crash into the tree line. Loud stopping is heard as Cordovin walks towards the group of filthy intruders both to gloat and offer them a last chance to give up. Ruby goes up to her head on, hoping that Qrow would trust her in decision. She walks to the cliff edge, barely a yard away from the edge. Cordovin spoke first "Surrender for your crimes, and accept your punishment."
Ruby wasted no time in response "No!" Cordovin was a bit surprised, given what a beaten she gave them. To put emphasis to her point, Ruby stabbed the ground with Crescent Rose like a flag and continued "We're going to Atlas. Bigger people than you have tried to stop us and failed, but we're supposed to be on the same side. We're supposed to use our power to protect people, but you use yours to look down on everyone. We didn't want to steam from you. We did it because you gave us no other choice. Now I'm giving you one last chance to stand down and hear us out." While everyone looks at Ruby, nobody notices Gen walking to her. Except Nora who noticed him immediately and gasped. He had managed to clean himself of most of the black stuff that was on him, with the exception to his boots. The armor looked a bit chard with the metal looking as if it had been burnt. Slowly everyone else noticed him and watched as he stopped by Ruby's side. Both of the two stare at Cordovin, waiting for her to make her decision. Ruby looks to her right and see Gen. Gen looks at her and nods. She nods back before both look back at Cordovin.
The only thing they heard in response was, in a low voice "I've heard enough". She then aimed the canon at the two, charging a shot. The others notice this and tried to get the two out of the way. The two look at each other before nodding. Ruby grabbed Gen and used her semblance to jump into the cannon. Everyone is surprised by this action, Cordovin aims up, in hopes to hit them with the dust at the end. Ruby and Gen exit the semblance and both aim Crescent Rose, now in its gun form at the lighting dust orb at the back. They both look at each other one last time before both breathing in and aiming. From Gen, a bright outline of silver coat Crescent Rose before they fired.They jumped as Ruby pulled the trigger and fired a round into the orb. The recoil launches them out half way, forcing Ruby to use her semblance on the two to get out properly.
As they leave, the cannon starts to miss fire, water, ice, earth, lightning, and fire dust all activated from their chambers. The earth and ice created become to much weight for the robots arm, pinning it down on the ground. The duo don't leave unscathed however. Both suffering from lightning dust for a bit. Crescent Rose is released in Ruby's hand as they fall. Leaving it with Gen. Gen gains conscious quickly and notices them slowing down. He grabs Ruby and says in a strained voice "Qrow... catch." Before lifting Ruby a bit higher to give Qrow a better chance at catching her. Gen almost hit the ground, but Weiss was able to slow him down enough for her to catch him. Crescent Rose now falls from his hand, onto the ground. Weiss is barely able to lift him up before collapsing. Both of them falling to the floor, Nora and Ren went to Weiss while Jaune went to Gen. He use half of whats left of his aura into Gen. He starts to recover before Jaune is forced to stop so that he could give some to Ruby and have enough for himself. Gen starts to get up before seeing Weiss. I asked her "You caught me? Why?" Weiss looks at him before responding "We are team RWBYS, I'll be by your side every second in combat." Gen starts nodding before getting his feet back under him. He looks to see that Ruby has manage to get her feet back under her. He picked up Crescent Rose and gave it to Ruby. Ruby thanks him but before she can say anything. Cordovin starts to speak "No! No, no, no, no! You! You're never getting to Atlas, do you hear me! Never! All forces converge on my position and eliminate these pests at once." The last line coming from the radio in the air ship. Maria suggests that we make a run. But, Jaune is worried about Yang, Blake and Neo. Before the two could continue, another voice began to play "Ma'am we've been trying to reach you. Argus is in danger." Then we hear a massive roar coming from Argus. Then the voice continue "It's a Leviathan, it began its approach during your battle. We need you!" The moment everyone heard that, everyone all looked at Cordovin and one thought played in their head. "What have we done?"
