Righty and Lefty took the long walk to Gyomei's home. His home was placed in a secluded area of the woods. It was a noticeable distance from the main slayer corp headquarters. With their demon hearing, they could just barely hear the sound of a distant waterfall. They both walked to the front door and went to knock.
"Hello, Mr. Gyomei?" Righty asked. "Mr. Gyoume-" They were cut off when the door flew open. Himejima the rock pillar greeted then at the door. He had his hands in a praying position with two strings of beads holding them together.
"Hello." He greeted. The blind pillar towered over them, making them take a amall step? back.
"H-hello Mr. Himejima." They said in unison.
"Was he always this huge!?" Righty thought as sweat dripped down his forehead.
"How did he get the beads around his hands if he just opened the door?" Lefty raised an eyebrow.
"Come in." Gyomei stepped inside and the two demons entered. The house reeked of scented candles. Seeing as they were everywhere. On all manners of tables and shelves, Gyomei placed them wherever he could.
He sat in the center of the room. Lefty and Righty joined him on the ground.
"We're-"
"Oyakata-san sent me a crow in advance. I know what I must do." Gyoumei cut them off. "Before we begin this training of yours, I have one question for you two." Gyomei said.
"Okey." Lefty said. Righty nodded.
"What are your opinions about one another?"
...
...
...
...
...
"Well..." Righty started.
" 'Well' what?" Lefty turned to Righty, Offended.
"It's just..." Righty didn't want to anger his Brother.
"What!? WHAT IS IT!?" Lefty yelled.
"You're an overconfident bully." Righty admitted.
"I AM NOT!!!" Lefty argued. "You're a self richeous ASSHOLE!!! You beat the crap out of me for having a different opinion on demons!!!"
"YOU TORTURED THEM!!!"
"THEY KILLED HUNDREDS!!!"
"That's enough." Gyomei raised his voice ever so slightly. "I've decided how I will train you two."
Leftykai and Rightykai sat up straight. Ready to hear what Gyomei had to say.
"Run."
...
...
...
"Eh?" Lefty went, confused.
"Run." Gyomei said and reached behind him.
"Where?" Righty asked.
"To the waterfall." Gyomei pulled out his weapon. It was a spiked wrecking ball conected to an axe blade by an increadibly long chain.
"When...?" The demon twins took a step back at the sight of Gyomei's
"Now." The veins on Himejima's forehead and arms began to bulge as he started to swing the spiked ball in a circular motion. The sound the giant ball tearing through the air made made them shudder.
"Oh fuck this!" Lefty turned around and sprinted out the door.
"Oh jeez-" Righty did the same and followed.
They sprinted from Gyomei's house and into the woods. They went as fast as they could towards the waterfall in the distance.
"Do you really think he'll chase us?" Righty asked.
"Probably. But I think he should go easy on us." Lefty said hopefully. The sounds of trees being torn apart behind them proved Lefty's theory to be wrong. They whipped around as the tree they just passed was torn in half by a flailing axe blade. Gyomei flew through the scattering chunks of treebark, still twirling his massive spiked ball. He was focused on one thing: Hunting them down.
"OH FUCK!!!"
"NIGERUNDAYOOOOOOO!!!" Lefty screamed and lit up in a burst of heat, blasting away at high speed.
"WAIT FOR ME!!!" Righty did the same and flew after him.
They caught up to eatchother and ran alongside one another. The waterfall must's been much farther than they once thought. They lept over and ducked under fallen trees, tore through thorn bushes, and straight blasted through rocks to get away from Gyomei.
"I'M SCARED!!!" Lefty wailed, showing his true colors.
"IT'S FINE! HE CAN'T CATCH US NOW!" Righty tried his best to reassure Lefty. "We're too fast for him to ever- OH WHAT THE-" Righty was cut off when a chain flew out of the woods and wrapped around his neck. "LEFTY- RUN!!!" Righty screamed as he was yanked back by his neck.
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" Tears sprayed from Lefty's eyes as he ran in fear. He had to run, he had to get to the waterfall.
"What the?" He stopped in his tracks, skidding along the trails and naking a cloud of dust. "Why am I stopping?" Lefty wondered as he turned around, where Gyomei was coming from. "What is this... This instinct... Why... Why do I... Want to help him, he'll be fine, it's just Gyomei. But still- I don't care, I want to! I want to save him!" Lefty growled and ran in Gyomei's direction. "I'm not your clone! You're not my clone! We're to halves of the same whole! WE'RE BROTHERS!!!" Lefty realized.
"I GOTTA SAVE MY BRO!!!" Lefty fought against his instincts and ran directly towards Gyomei. He blasted through the trees and grabbed a stick. Lefty bit into it and turned it into a knife. He ran past one more tree and found hinself face to face with Gyomei, who dragged Righty behind him with a chain around the demon's throat.
"LET MY BROTHER GO!!!" Lefty screamed and flew forward.
"What the!!!" Gyomei skidded to a halt, kicking dust into the air. Lefty flew through the dust and swung his knife. Not a Gyomei, but at Righty. He sliced Righty's head clean off, letting the chain slip between the head and the body. Lefty grabbed Righty's head and tucked it under his arm while holding Righty's body's hand and running away with it.
"YOU CAME BACK FOR ME!?" Righty's head yelled.
"YES!" Lefty yelled back. By now, Gyoumei had begun his chase again.
"Why!?" Righty's head asked.
"I felt like it!
"Wow! That's so nice for you!" Righty laughed.
"Sh-shut up..." Lefty looked away, a slight blush on his face.
"Can I have my head back?" Righty's body reached for it's severed head.
"Oh, sure." Lefty handed the head over and Righty reatatched it. He blinked three times and sighed.
"That feels better." Righty smiled.
Gyoumei's axe blade flew out of the dense vegitation and cleaved off Lefty's leg, making him scream in pain. He was in the midst of fallig over when Righty grabbed him. He out Lefty's arm around his shoulder and ran with him, supporting lefty as they ran. They strained and pushed themselves as hard as they could. Thet went one last time up a steep hill.
"Hey, we made it!" Lefty yelled as the waterfall got much louder. They jumped through the vegitation and landed in a clearing that laid next to a waterfall. "
"How long will it take Mr. Hinejima to-" Righty suddenly gasped. Gyomei was already sitting down in the center of the clearing.
"He went past us!?" Lefty exclaimed, astonished.
"Do you understand why I chose this exercise?" Gyomei asked.
"...No. Not in the slightest..." They said quietly.
"It was to show you both that you can rely on one another. And that you should live and work together happily." Gyomei answered.
"Did you have to cut off my leg?" Lefty asked sternly. Gyoumei didn't answer.
"Well, I guess we can rely on eatchother." Lefty said.
"Well, I guess it does." Righty said and chuckled. "Say, what does that make us then?" Righty turned to Lefty, curious.
"Well, how about brothers?" Lefty proposed.
"I like it! C'mere 'brother'!" Righty laughed and put an arm around Lefty. Lefty laughed and did the same. They both laughed. They finaly knew what they were to eatchother.
"So Mr. Himejima, since this is over, can we go home?" Lefty asked.
"No. You'll still be training with me for two months." Gyomei said without any emotion.
"...Oh." They both stopped their laughing and got depressed.
