"I'm in your debt!!!" Tengen shouted as he swung his knife at Gyutaro's neck. At the same time, Tanjiro had gotten up and swung his sword at the other side of Gyutaro's neck.
"We gotta move, dammit!"
Akai had collapsed on the ground after overworking his body. He bit his arm blades and reshaped them into normal arms. He stopped to catch his breath.
Gyutaro caught both Tengen's and Tanjiro's blades with his sickles.
"There's no way in hell you're killin' me, man." Gyutaro cracked a sly smile.
Tengen growled and shoved his second knife at the back of gyutaro's neck. Just before contact, Gyutaro spun his head a hundred and eighty degrees and bit down on the blade.
"MOOOOOVE!!!"
Akai desperetely scrambled to get up and grabbed a blood cup from his belt. He took quick gulps and threw it away. Akai tried to help, but Daki had once again brought her sashes to hold him back.
"Kamado! Move!" Tengen shouted as Gyutaro unleashed his splattersickles in his 'round slashes of death'. Tanjiro barely got away as Tengen jumped off the roof and down bellow. Taking Gyutaro, who was still firmly biting his blade, down with him.
"Tengen!!!" Tanjiro shouted and went to help the Sound Pillar.
"Watch out!" Hinatsuru grabbed Tanjiro and pulled him out of the way of Daki's sash. The sister demon had regenerated all of her sashes.
"Inosuke! Zenitsu!" Tanjiro yelled when he saw both of them fighting Daki's sashes, their bodies covered in lacerations.
"There was a change of plans! Maggot girl is too annoying, we gotta kill her and leave mantis boy to the old guy!" Inosuke barked.
"She's weaker than sickle man, so we should get her first. Can you move, Tanjiro?" Zenitsu asked.
"I can! But Uzui's been poisoned! We have to finish this quickly!" Tanjiro Responded.
"Don't worry about me, I'm going tk hide! Go get em!" Hinatsuru turned dashed away from the battle.
"Where's Akai?" Inosuke asked.
"Here!" Akai jumped up onto the roof with them, one hand in his mouth. "I just made my hands normal. Now I gotta make a knife arm again." Akai growled and turned his right arm into a blade, keeping his left normal.
Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu and Akai advanced towards the building Daki was on. Cutting through sashes in their way.
"Your movements are getting duller! Which one should I crush first?" Daki said with a cackle.
"This demon's neck is too soft to cut, so we either have to hit it at the right speed, or cut from multiple angles!" Tanjiro shouted to everyone.
After a few seconds of slashing and thinking, Inosuke spoke:
"If we take the multi-directional option, then leave it to my dual wielding prowess!" Inosuke shouted. "The four of us can beat her!" Inosuke yelled and gripped his swords tighter.
The four of them closed in on Daki, who got more violent and frantic the closer they were.
"DAKI!!!" Akai tore through a sash and flew straight at her.
"Dumbass!" Daki took advantage of his wide open chest and impaled him with a sash, making him vomit blood.
Yet he still smiled.
"What are you smiling for!?" She shouted.
"Behind you!" Akai laughed. Daki whipped around to see Inosuke charging at her uncontested. Zenitsu has already cleared his path.
"NUAAAAAAAAH!!!" Inosuke lunged and positioned his baldes at oposite ends of Daki's neck. "We win!" Inosuke said. "Sixth Fang:" Inosuke planted his feet into the rooftop, nearly blowing through it. "JAGGED GNAW!!!" Inosuke tore both of his swords through Daki's neck, severing it. After which, he jumped up and grabbed Daki's head, holding it under his arm. Akai, who was on the ground with a hole in his chest, looked up and saw him run off with the head of Daki.
"You may not be dead, but away from your body, you're useless!" Inosuke bragged. "GWAHAHAHAHA-"
Shink
"Ha..." Inosuke's celibration was cut off when Gyutaro flew in from behind. Plunging his sickle straight through Inosuke's back and out of his chest.
"INOSUKE!!!" Tanjiro and Akai shouted in unison.
"Where the fuck is Tengen!? He was supposed to-"
Akai saw Tanjiro looking at something far away with utter horror. He followed his friend's gaze and saw Tengen on the ground. Bloody, unconcious, and missing an arm.
"Oh... Shit."
"NOOOOOO!!!"
Gyutaro gave Daki her head and went to attack Tanjiro. Zenitsu was barely quick enough to push Tanjiro away as the building they were on was sliced to pieces. He could see them both fall down into the wreckage, Zenitsu in particualr was completely buried.
"DAMN IT!!!"
Akai felt hopeless. He felt weak.
Akai buried his face into the ground and began to cry.
They lost. The sibling demons were too much for even them.
Gyutaro slowly walked towards Tanjiro, who had barely avoided the wreckage that crushed Zenitsu.
"Whoa... You're still kickin'?" Gyutaro looked down at Tanjiro. "You're pretty lucky, everyone else is dead." Gyutaro said and scratched an itch on his head. "Boar guy's heart was stabbed." Gyutaro looked to Inosuke whose wound was still leaking blood. "Yellow head is writhing around under the wreckage, so I'll just leave em to die." Gyutaro looked to the rubble, where there was small rumbles from Zenitsu's attempts to free himself. "The pillar died. He was strong, man. But the poison stopped his heart." Gyutaro looked to Tengen, whose severed arm layed next to him. "Then your demon buddy got donutted by my sis. He's still kicking, I think." Gyutaro looked at Akai, who tried to play dead instinctively.
"This is how low we've fallen. Playing dead in front of the enemy as he taunts our friend."
Gyutaro let out a little chuckle and looked back at Tanjiro.
"Pathetic. Pathetic. You're all worthless." Gyutaro berated Tanjiro with his hurtful words. "So you've got a relative in the box? Older of younger?" Gyutaro changed sibjects quickly.
"...Younger." Tanjiro answered slowly.
Gyutaro smiled and let out an ugly laugh. "I figured. Pathetic, my man. You couldn't protrect her at all." Gyutaro laughed again.
"You're weaker than your sister. You probably let her protect you. You're the older sibling, you should be the one protecting her." Gyutaro reached down and broke two of Tanjiro's fingers, making him wince in pain. "How do ya feel, man? You're pathetic and alone.
"He's not alone." Akai raised his head from the ground.
"Maggot. Dimwit. Coward among dunces." Gyutaro pushed Tanjiro's head into the ground.
"He's none of those!" Akai worked his arms under himself.
"Useless!" Gyutaro laughed.
"He's one of the best!" Akai slowly pushed himself up off the ground.
"What now? You've got a broken, pathetic human body." Gyutaro bullied Tanjiro further.
"Leave him alone!" Akai slowly got to his knees.
"Go ahead and try, try to cut off my head." Gyutaro's teasing was breaking Tangjiro's spirit. Tanjiro let out dry sobs into the ground. Now, he even refused to lift his head from the dirt.
"Leave him alone!" Akai yelled. He had somehow gotten to his feet, and was standing defiantly yet weakly. A strong breeze could probably knock him over. He couldn't even muster the strength to open his eyes. Yet he stood anyway.
"Hm?" Gyutaro turned around and looked at Akai. "You're still concious? With that big hole in your chest?" Gyutaro asked Akai, who didn't give an answer.
"I ain't done..." Akai whispered.
"Oh? What're ya gonna do?" Gyutaro got up and began to slowly walk towards him. "You're fucking worthless. Everyone here is dead. And you couldn't do anything about it." Gyutaro Taunted.
"I ain't done...!" Akai said, the slightest bit stronger.
"Done with what? You'll be dead in seconds. You should've played dead!" Gyutaro laughed.
Akai could feel his heart stop, and he went quiet.
"Got anything to say now, insect?" Gyutaro got in Akai's face and held his sickle to the Red Comet's throat.
Akai's heart began pumping again. It glowed orange with heat. The same power that let him fight Akaza. Hs felt the fire in his blood spread throughout his body. Akai opened his eyes and stared Gyutaro in the eye.
"You're nothing but a-" Gyutaro's mind flared with an instinct. An uncontrollable urge to run. Gyutaro's eyes widenned and he junped back.
"What the hell was that!?" Gyutaro thought as sweat dripped down his face. He looked down and saw his arm was missing. "WHA!?" Gyutaro was speechless. And Daki, who was sitting a little ways away, got up and went on high alert. Gyutaro looked back at Akai, who was holding his severed arm.
"I. ain't. done." Akai growled and crushed Gyutaro's arm to ash instantly.
"Akai..." Tanjiro stared at his friend, he remembered this as the power he used when fighting Akaza.
It seems the Red Comet takes one last stand against the siblings. Will he win? Can he save any of his friends? Can he teach these brats some humility? Let's hope the answers are all yes.
