I stare at the vast ocean, taking a deep breath, enjoying the date that was planned by Hunter. He almost canceled it when he noticed my sour mood but I told him not to. Am not going to let anyone or anything ruin this date for me. Am hurt at his words though.
"Sorry if this is small, it ju-"
"No no... Its ok, i mean I love it like this" I look around the empty area "its quite and peaceful" I said smiling at him, he smiles back, his eyes lighting up. I took a bite from the delicious meatball, its really good with the spaghetti.
"This is delicious.. "
"Am glad you like it" he beams, as he placed his bowl on the picnic mat spread on the hard floor. You must be asking, hard floor? Yea cause we are in the lighthouse overlooking the beach. I don't know how he did it, but am here, with him on the last floor, that place where the giant light always flash around the sea. When we got here, he offer to give me a piggy ride to the venue of our date, i blushed at this, and am sure my cheeks gave it away.
"You cooked this?"
"What if I did?" He smirks
"Did you?" I raised my eyebrows playfully at him.
"I can't cook to save my life" he grunts out as I laugh.
"You can't be that bad?" He raise his right eyebrow as if saying "really".
"I almost burned down my kitchen because I wanted to make bacon.... And I also remembered pouring cinnamon powder into the soup thinking it was seasoning"
"Oh my god...!" I burst out laughing "you could have smelled it, they both have distinctive scent!" I placed my bowl on the mat trying to subdue my laughter as he shrugs indifferently.
"My mum banned me from the kitchen saying I was not cooking friendly"
"Aww... That must be so sad... But in a nutshell, you must not go near the kitchen"
"Absolutely..." He pouts "and it hurts so much"
I laugh at his babyish face and voice.
"Am glad I made you laugh" he said out of the blue. "And I always love that blush on your face"
"Hunter!... "
"What?... It's the truth" I roll my eyes trying to hide my red cheeks, he chuckles. "So cute" he mumbles. Its was silent for some minutes as we have both exhausted the questions we asked from each other.
"What happened before I picked you at the diner? You looked gloomy." He asked as I remember my fight with Antonio.
"Nothing happened" I waved it off, picking at my bowl of spaghetti.
"Are you sure? You looked angry and sad" I shake my head, recalling when Rosalia volunteered to take my car back home, not before she asked me if I was okay.
"Am fine..." am not, he watches me for a while, then nodded, I know he does not believe me but decided not to push it. He raised his two arms. I hesitated.
"Come on... " i sigh, going into his arms, we were both cuddling, i wrapped my arms around his waist as I inhale his cologne, he kisses me on the forehead. "I want you to know that you can tell me anything... Okay" he said quietly as I nod. "I need you to trust me, do you trust?" He asked as I thought about the simple and hard question he asked me, can I trust him? I think I know the answer.
"I do" I said it with assurance.
"Good.. That is all I need" he said kissing my forehead again making me feel secured.
"So... What's for dessert?" I eyed the fancy picnic basket, where I think I saw a giant chocolate cake. He chuckles.
"Impatient are we?" I can feel his smirk but I can't help it, nothing can make me deny my love for chocolate.

I groan switching off my phone. My phone as been filled with miss calls and text messages from Antonio. Am still angry with him, its been three days, since the fight and I refused to see him and I kept ignoring his calls. I adjusted my apron, still arranging the fresh white roses, thinking about the date, a smile made a way to my face. I heard a shriek, i looked up as I saw Amber and Blue, a fellow co worker rushing towards me with what looks like a magazine, oh God! Am sure they are gonna gossip again, i smile awkwardly as they stop in front of me both grinning like Joker.
"You my friend, is not a good person!"Amber said pointing an accusing finger at me as Blue nods, shaking her head in disapproval, i got confused.
"Uhn... I don't get you-"
"Don't pretend Leah... You didn't want to tell us you have hit it big!" She jumps looking excited. I got more confused.
"What?" I asked more confused, what did I hit big. Blue groans, shaking her head making her blue hair... Dyed blue hair sway around. She slams the particular magazine on the top of the show glass, pointing her black painted nails at a particular article,I looked more confused but froze when I saw a picture, no a picture of me and Hunter at the full moon party, and also a picture of the both of us at the diner, he was hugging me from behind as he rest his jaw on my head. The quality was blurry, you can't see my face but I know its me, because this happened yesterday after my shift, a picture of Hunter looking aristocratic in a navy blue suit, was attached to the bottom of the article.
"What the fudge is this!?" I snarled, reading the heading of the article. MYSTERY GIRL!!!

"Uh oh... That reaction tells me you know nothing about him" Blue says softly as Amber smiles sadly at me, I sniff, wiping my tears.
"Ca-can I borrow this?" I ask shakily as picked the magazine, Amber nods quickly. They both return to their duty post not before telling me to take things easy with him. How could he hide something like this from me, Rosalia keeps telling me he looks familiar.... I feel like going- wait I don't know where he lives! I know someone for two months, being dating him for almost two weeks and I still don't know where he lives! God am such a fool.... This emotions keep churning in me, i quickly fold the magazine and hide it in my apron's pouch. I busied my self with the flowers.

"Wow..." Rosalia says again for the tenth time as she reads through the same article over and over again. I go back and forth in my room, she sat up from my bed looking at me as she lays the magazine on it.
"Have you spoken with him on this?" I shake my head "can you stop parading up and down, you will get me dizzy" I groaned sitting down on the bed.
"I can't believe it!... He never told me this, did he thought I was a gold digger, or was he trying to play me?!" I questioned nobody in particular.
"Maybe he as a reason" I stood up abruptly at her words.
"What reason Rosalia?!"
"A lot of reason girl! I mean its the paparazzi, maybe he is trying to protect you" she said calmly not bothered by my angry state. "Have spoken with him today?" She asks again.
"No... I switched off my phone because of Antonio"
"Ohhh..." She said in realization.
"Why is everyone pissing me off lately" I groaned, I looked up as Rosalia gave me the stinking eye "apart from you" I quickly added as she rolled her eyes.
"Just talk to him ok... He may have his reasons" I sigh nodding my head.
Seems like Hunter's secret his out. What do you think?
