"So how is everyone there? " I smiled into the phone as my mum keeps on complaining about how stressed up she is and how boring New York is without me around.
"... Son... Trust me,i really wish you were here, I need to go for one of this fundraiser nite again, i mean I love helping the needy but those annoying, crazy business men won't just give me a break, they all want to be in your father's good shoes knowing he has connections with the Andersons.
She continues to rant as I listen to her religiously. I know she wants me to attend this event but she also knows I need this vacation, to clear my head and settle things with my dad.
"How his he?" I asked her, already knowing what am talking about. She sighed audibly into the phone.
"He is alright Hunter... And I want to you to know that I and your father loves you so much, you are our only son.. People make mistakes, he will come around"
"I messed up mum." I replied as I recoiled what I did, I really messed up, but now my player days are over.
" I know dear, OK just give him sometime. Just show him you have changed"
I nodded at her motherly voice.
"So how is my godmother, Aunt Nora" I asked her as she told of me of how they are planning to go on a vacation to some unknown destination. Trust the duo to go on vacation even in crisis. The two are best friends since a young age, they stuck together thick and thin. The woman has been a godmother to him,he was like a son to her. I said my good bye to her, as I hanged up my phone, I looked up at the time and I thought of going to the florist shop Leah is working at but I don't want to seem stalkish, she already invited me for a party, that is a progress right? I beamed as I remember her lovely face again, i feel giddy whenever she is around. I vanilla/cocoa scent can make any man go weak. He must not mess up... He thought of going for a walk as he threw on a polo shirt over his jeans, with his boot. He needs to dress normal, so that people won't recognize him, or else paparazzi would be at his doorstep 24/7 ready to feast on him since they can't get enough in New York or MIT.
"If Leah finds out, i don't think she will want to be around me anymore " he said.
"So I have to stay normal, act normal, not like a billionaire heir, or a spoiled brat, like father calls me" he stepped out of the penthouse as he looks around and continues walking to the direction he knows Leah work place is situated. I passed a few shop here and there, the town as a homey feeling... Expect for the few glares threw at him by some guys, everything is just perfect.
Those guys may look scary to some people but not him, he wasn't the Knight's sole heir for nothing.
"Who are these people? " he asked himself quietly as he gave the boy upfront a cold glare, who was situated beside the shop Leah works, the dude had to back down...
"Coward" he snickers as he enters the shop.
I look around, looking for a particular brunette.
"Hello sir... " a feminine voice spoke up behind me, i turn around to see a blonde hair girl with brown eyes as she smiles warmly "can I help you with anything sir...? "
"Hi, actually I am looking for Leah, is she still here?" I asked her still looking around until I notice her grinning widely at me, Its really getting creepy.
"Leah should be with Rosalia, at the diner" she replied as she gestured towards the exit.
"Thank you uhn... "
"Amber, its Amber" she replies as she starts walking away then turns around bouncing on her feet.. "Oh oh.. And Leah loves lilies" she winks and continues to attend to other people. Hunter smiles.
"Thanks for the tip!" he shouts so that she can here him, Amber saluted as she continues her job.

"Are you really going to apply" I grin at Antonio, who rolled his eyes and nods.
"Yes Leah, am going to apply, but that does not mean am going to college. I need fresh air, from the claustrophobic four walls of a classroom" he replied.
We continued arguing and am trying to tell him why he needs to further his schooling, i asked him what he would like to do after graduation and my dear friend hasn't thought of anything.
"Its not claustrophobic Tony, you just don't want to go" I winked at him as he gulps down his water.
"So... Any girl that might interest you, ummm" he shakes his head "No,Tony you can't tell me that" I grab his hand that was laying on the table.
"Am serious Leah, they are either after my money, position or looks" he listed counting out his fingers, I felt bad for him.
"Tony, am sure there is someone out there who loves you for you, not your looks or-"he cuts her off.
"Spare me Leah... I don't need other girls, i have you" his voice turns serious has Leah raised her eyebrows.
"You have me Antonio, you do" she smiles at him as he smiles back, both in a comfortable silence. They went back into the conversation of how stubborn Leah was when she wants something a times. But they had an unwanted visitor.
"How many times have I told you to stay away from my boyfriend!" Matilda screeched as she threw her expensive purse on the table, attracting everybody attention in the diner. Leah looks like a deer caught in headlights, they never noticed her stomping towards them as they were too busy with the conversation. Antonio looks like he was about to punch someone. Can't he just be given a break.
"Excuse me... I don-" Leah was abruptly interrupted again as Matilda hits the cup of water placed on the table as it splashes around even on Leah sundress.
"Jesus! Matilda! What the heck is your problem!" Leah stood up already annoyed, shouting at her. Rosalia watches the scene from the table she was cleaning. She knew trouble follows Antonio everywhere but he doesn't have to bring his family or estranged relationship here. Matilda as been his girl from high school, she is so addicted to him as he enjoys the goods between her legs.
"I told you to stay away from my man, you wh*re!" Antonio abruptly stood up not liking the way she was speaking to her, he tries to pull her but she snatched her hand away from him. Leah sighed.
"Matilda, he is just my friend, I will never steal your man" she said sincerely as people continues to enjoy the view.
"Liar!! That is what you are!" Leah got mad after those words as Antonio looks at her pleadingly.
"Antonio.... Chain your dog.. " Leah spoke up, facing Antonio as Matilda saw red... Her talons extended ready to fight for her man. Her high heels gave her an higher advantage.
"Matilda! What is wrong with you?!, stop this nonsense" he grabs her arms firmly as she tries to struggle out of his iron grip, Rosalia walks up to them trying to save her friend from the wicked witch of the west.
"Excuse me young man, you will have to leave with" she gestures her hand at Matilda who glared at her as Antonio groans.
"Well well well, who do we have here?, mother hen comes to save her chick, just like old times" Matilda spat still in Antonio's hand.
"So much for the spit... " Rosalia wipes off the imaginary spit, as Matilda tries to pounce again.
"Am so sorry, Leah... There is nothing going on bet-" Leah cuts him off.
"Its ok Antonio... Just get her out of here" he looked pained as she avoids his eyes... This bi*ch is gonna pay, he thought. He nods as he pulls her along, she quickly grabs her bag sending daggers to both friend. She forcibly jerks her arms from him and struts out of the diner as if nothing happened. Antonio following her, as she walks out then he turns around, nods at Leah, then turns back as he leaves the premises.
Leah sighs as she tries to dry off the water stains on her clothe, embarrassed with the looks people threw her way.
"Well that is a friendly date gone wrong" Rosalia turns to look at her, raising her eyebrows in question. "I don't have a clue about what just happened".
I know... its too long
